About the job
We are looking for a Student Advisor to join our Advice team, helping students navigate challenges and make the most of their time at UAL. You'll offer one-to-one and group advice on a range of academic (including appeals, academic misconduct, complaints and extenuating circumstances) and housing issues, signposting students to other useful services when needed. Sometimes you'll act as an advocate for students in university meetings or help them put together a strong case to get the outcome they're hoping for. You'll also play a big role in our outreach - running drop-ins creating resources and delivering activities to raise awareness of our services across various sites. In addition you'll contribute to service improvements, research projects as well as working with our student leaders on specific projects. It's a varied role where no two days are the same while making a real difference to students' lives.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable weather and climate scientist to join us at The Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS) as the Science Engagement Officer.

Essential criteria you will need to demonstrate:
- A background in weather and climate, either through: a degree in a scientific field relevant to weather and climate; OR a Master’s degree within a scientific field relevant to weather and climate, with a minimum of three subsequent years working in industry.
- Extensive knowledge across weather and climate, and evidence of involvement in activities to ensure ongoing current knowledge across diverse areas.
- Experience in communicating scientific concepts and information to a different range of stakeholders (for example policy makers, the wider scientific and social science community, or the general public).
- A friendly and open-minded approach, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a small team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to prepare documentation for outside stakeholders and willing to communicate with the media.

You'll also be the operational lead for our student elections - from technical set-up to support candidates and making sure everything runs fairly and transparently. You'll help develop policies, run training sessions, promote democratic engagement, and be the go-to person for students with questions about how the SU represents students. It's a varied role that puts students at the hear of decision-making while making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Midlands. The Royal Air Force Museum is a Carbon Literate organisation and as such promotes Carbon Literacy.
Purpose of the Retail Assistant role:
We are looking to recruit a retail assistant.
You will be part of a customer focused team working across both the museum’s retail outlet and admissions point. The ideal person for this position should have excellent customer service skills and the ability to promote and up-sell products, experiences, and activities to our visitors, have a friendly attitude and the ability to multi-task. You must be able to demonstrate ability to deliver exceptional visitor service, ensuring that the experience provided by The Royal Air Force Museum exceeds the expectations of all visitors and that they are delighted with our first-class service and connected with our compelling stories.
Based on an annualised contract, your total annual working hours will be equal to 988 hours. A working week will have a minimum of zero hours and a maximum of 35 hours. A working shift will normally be no less than 4 hours and no more than 7 hours. A normal working week will not exceed working 5 days out of 7. Actual weekly hours will depend on operational requirements. Standard hours will be between 9.30am and 5.30pm but are subject to change based on reasonable and timely operational requirements, including working regular weekends.
Key responsibilities of our Retail Assistant include:
- Providing high standards of customer care through pro-active and re-active engagement with visitors
- Operating commercial experiences, and associated tills
- Maximising commercial experiences revenue by actively promoting the experiences and ensuring the they operate at the appropriate times
- Quickly reporting any commercial experiences issues to the relevant people, including liaising directly with external contractors where appropriate

This is a key role responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery and development of our Antifreeze programme. Alongside the daily management of staff and volunteers, this role is responsible for ensuring that the services provided are safe, best practice and compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.

Main duties:
· Oversight and delivery of all programme activities relating to Antifreeze including drop ins, one-to-one support, street outreach and faith-based activities.
· Establish and drive the overall strategic vision for the service in line with the operational plan and informed by the needs of the people the service exists for
· Lead the design and development of new services in line with client needs, resources, staffing and the strategic purpose of the team.
· Hold direct budget responsibility for day-to-day operations and in line with any specific funding requirements
· Be an active member of the Off the Fence leadership team
· Review and implement policies and procedures for safe service delivery
· Provide reports on key activity, outputs and impact in line with KPIs and other reporting requirements.
· Line manage the team of key workers, providing regular performance reviews, pastoral support and identifying training needs.
· Support with the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, including in-house training and supervision
· Ensuring that key workers have a good working knowledge of local services, referral routes, other agencies and when to highlight safeguarding concerns.

Key attributes and experience required for the role:
· Proven experience in managing frontline services and staff teams (minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role)
· Experience of delivering services in the housing and homelessness sector
· Strong knowledge of the legal and statutory framework for housing, benefits, employment. Ideally, knowledge of local services and support agencies.

Our discipleship sessions encourage an advanced understanding of the Christian faith, offering fellowship and spiritual growth. To address digital poverty, we offer computer access for job searches and reconnecting with loved ones.

About the role
As our Compliance Specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring that CIUK operates with integrity and confidence in a complex global environment.
