About the role:
You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload and will have experience of achieving key performance indicators, as set by the Operation managers and Deputy Head of Service.
We pride ourselves on providing exceptional trauma informed advocacy and support to all service users and you will have an understanding of the impact that trauma and bereavement can have on individuals. We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.
You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. You will be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online. A driving license and use of a car are both essential as well as access to public transport. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.
You will also enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams) and will have experience in building constructive working relationships, focused on delivering the best service for vulnerable service users. You should be a confident presenter, and able to share the service and work we do to inform, educate and encourage notifications and referrals into the service.

The Centre is a warm, vibrant community that exists as the only one of its kind in the UK and Europe. You’ll be maintaining NMC’s existing events calendar, as well as having the autonomy to develop the calendar further and put your own stamp on it. You’ll also be managing our community fundraising income, which includes individual giving, lottery, working with local groups and supporting individuals with their own fundraising activities. You will be developing and building relationships with new and existing supporters to maximise fundraising potential, as well as recruiting and managing volunteers from all walks of life.
We’re looking for someone with previous fundraising experience, with the ambition to take this to new levels. This is a really immersive role, working with the charity's supporters and donors, while at the same time being based where the charity operates. Job summary: The primary role is:
- To work with individuals/families referred to Savera UK’s 1-1 Direct Intervention Service, as a result of ‘honour’-based abuse and harmful practices or any other culturally specific abuse. Being responsible for client safeguarding and providing advocacy and emotional intervention.
- To share responsibility with other team members in providing and delivering wellbeing/welfare programmes to Savera UK clients and to help them towards their new beginning, empowerment, self-help and independence.
- To contribute to and participate in the wider Savera UK team and organisation’s activities.
The primary functions are safeguarding, advocacy and emotional intervention (60% of the role). About the role:
This role is based at our office in Preston, with cover in the Accrington area as required. Once you have completed training & probation period you can apply for hybrid working, all travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed. As an IDVA you will:

About the role:
This role is based at either our Preston or Accrington Office. After six months probation you will be eligible to apply for hybrid working. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.
As a Triage & early Intervention worker you will be:
- Making initial contact assessing and providing information to victims/survivors of domestic abuse
- Providing any immediate safety and support needs for the victims/and their children(s) including safeguarding when required.
- Providing administrative support to our wider team to support them in the delivery of advocacy to victims/survivors of mainly domestic abuse.
- Liaising with the police and other agencies to ensure all relevant information is collected including safe contact numbers and consent from victims/survivors.
- Gathering feedback from service users and collating this into monthly reports and contributing to monitoring information for the service.
- Participating in regular supervisions and reviews.
You will need to:
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the myths, facts and misconceptions about domestic abuse.
- Understand Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Understand the needs of victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
- Understand the effects of trauma and the importance of trauma informed practice.
- Have a good understanding of the Criminal Justice System.
