Principle Accountabilities 

• Notify DWP and complete all paperwork for people supported. 
• Cover all legal requirements of appointeeship as stated by DWP. 
• Manage appointee sub bank accounts for people supported within a locality. 
• Receive and manage all social security benefits and other income for people supported within a locality. 
• Reconcile sub bank accounts for people supported within a locality. 
• Provide visible access to bank statements when required. 
• Up load money onto individual pre-payment cards. 
• Monitor balances on pre-payment cards within a locality. 
• BACS / Cheque payment runs. 
• Set up and monitor direct debits / standing orders on sub accounts within a locality. 
• Jointly agree personal budget plans for people supported with operational staff. 
• Jointly authorise additional expenditure request for people supported. 
• Scan and upload benefit letters and responses onto operation management information system. 
• Finance audits as and when required. 
• Ensure knowledge regarding benefits and legislation is kept up to date.

This role is home based however a full driving license required as occasional travel will be required.

The job

• We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated fundraiser to join Chetham’s as Senior Development Manager to manage the development team in securing over £600k of income per annum across Chetham’s School of Music, Library and The Stoller Hall. The Finance Assistant supports all aspects of the Hallé’s work at the Bridgewater Hall, the Hallé Venues and concert halls across the UK.

The Finance Assistant works in a department currently comprising Finance Director, Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.

The department is responsible for all aspects of the financial affairs of the Society and its related trusts. The Finance Assistant is responsible to the Assistant Finance Manager.

They take responsibility for processing the day-to-day transactions of the company across purchase ledger, sales ledger and the cash book, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. They will also need to work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Hallé as well as with external customers and suppliers.

The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.

UK Programmes Officer 

Location: Oldham EIC with flexibility (with some home working)

Hours: Full time

Main Responsibilities:

To work within the UK Programmes by providing support to Masjid Benchmarking, organising online Seminars, Support to Icare, Masjid Benchmarking, Education (Madaris) oversee and monitor Masjid Connect and Islamophobia monitoring, Publicity, supporting other areas of work of UKIM central team that may be delegated e.g. Imam CPD, Dawah, Tarbiyah.

Essentially the role is to support the Head of UK programmes to implement a varied and diverse programme of engagement to support improvement of the different programmes, masjids, branches, and departments in UKIM that require the support from UK Programmes Team. 

The post is varied and ever changing depending on the needs of the members and programmes within UKIM.   

Key Duties:

• To support Masjid and Branch Improvement through enabling them to undertake the self-assessment audit and then to deliver a development day based on the self-audit.

• To organise training both face to face and online that will enable masjids and branches to develop and move forward in their work programme.

• To bring on board speakers that will enable mosques to develop.

• To engage with the Dawah programme and to develop a robust programme of support to meet the needs of the department and different stakeholders. The parameters of this are still to be agreed and may involve some of the following areas it serves including new Muslims, design new curriculum, develop resources, re-develop & update websites, Unity Iftars, teach new Muslims & train daees. Based on your capacity and availability of resources to outsource where appropriate.

• To support the wider effort of masjid benchmarking by undertaking audits and maintaining contact with masjids through WhatsApp, support in delivery of development training etc. 

• To support Head of UK Programmes to provide information and advice on training, workforce and funding capability development to UKIM masjids/centres and branches.

• To support in the development of and deliver high quality core training courses and materials as an integral part of our work in order to support the development of masjids, madaris and branches. 

• To support development of Secretariat Function of the UK Programmes Team and to market training and funding support provision and oversee the recruitment and selection of learners. 

• To support training for masjid/centre and branch learners and to recruit, induct and manage external trainers and/or consultants, where appropriate.

• To support appraisal and evaluation of UK programmes 

• To provide expert support and guidance to the education department.

• To work with appropriate staff colleagues to identify and develop income generating activities that relate to provision of services from masjid/centres and branches.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Finance Manager to lead and manage our busy Finance Teams. You will have relevant finance and business experience, and you will directly manage the Accounts Payable and Income Collection teams, while contributing to process improvements within the Accounts Receivable (Billing) function.

You will be familiar with accounting software, preferably SAGE. You will be an effective communicator with excellent data management skills and numeracy, with particular proficiency in the use of Excel.

Ideally, you will have a relevant professional qualification (such as AAT or higher).  Experience gained in a social care-related organisation or a large business/charity with multiple cost centres and varied income streams is desirable.

This is a senior position within our busy, friendly Head Office Finance Department. A flexible and responsive approach is required, as you may need to assist with other priority tasks within our finance function and you will have the opportunity to deputise for senior colleagues. A strong work ethic and commitment to our values and charitable aims is essential. 

There will be opportunities for further professional training for the successful candidate, to be discussed and agreed upon successful completion of the probationary period.

The role is based in our pleasant offices in Stockport, readily accessible on public transport.

This is an exciting role supporting the Supporter Experience team in delivering an extensive portfolio of campaign selections and supporter journeys across the NSPCC. The team, which sits within the Communications division, is responsible for managing communications with warm supporters. The team works with Campaign Managers to use data effectively in supporter communications, ensuring supporters receive an excellent experience of the NSPCC.

This role will be responsible for planning and delivering supporter journeys and data selections for NSPCC campaigns, based on briefs developed with Campaign Managers and internal teams. This will primarily use FastStats, PeopleStage and Adestra, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.

The successful candidate will have experience of mailing selections and automated journey creation, as well as an understanding of how data can be applied to create complex and tailored supporter journeys using dynamic content, journey logic, personalisation and reporting. The successful candidate will also have strong interpersonal skills and be experienced in developing and maintaining working relationships across various teams.

One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for someone with experience of delivering a successful support programme to service users in a prison, probation or social care setting to join us as an Older Prisoners’ Activities Assistant Manager within The Salvation Army, this position is called CAMEO Assistant Manager.

In partnership with HMP Liverpool and Liverpool City Council we run CAMEO (Come and Meet Each Other) a programme which offers a supportive, caring and stimulating environment for older people in prison. As Assistant Manager you will assist in setting up an innovative and engaging day centre which will provide meaningful activity and positive relationships, improves wellbeing, reduces social isolation and offers opportunities for rehabilitative interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build positive relationships with service users and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with internal and external agencies in order to develop innovative and collaborative approaches to meet the needs of the prisoner cohort
• Assist the Manager in ensuring that all relevant administration, data collection and analysis is collated and reported on, including monthly and annual reports to line management
• Be an active part of the wider CAMEO team, bringing meaningful contributions to team meetings, departmental strategy and development of the wider CAMEO programme
• Contribute to any security checks, planning and risk assessments as needed
• Undergo training in safeguarding, security awareness, conditioning and manipulation awareness, and other HMPPS/TSA training deemed necessary by line management

To succeed, you will need:

• Good experience of delivering a successful support programme to service users in a prison, probation service or social care setting
• Good experience of working collaboratively with multiple agencies and stakeholders
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop successful and collaborative working relationships with service users and colleagues, including vulnerable client cohorts
