Camphill Village Trust are seeking a new Philanthropy Manager and Prospectus is excited to be heading up the search. A leading UK charity, Camphill Village Trust support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental-ill health and complex needs to lead a life of opportunity. They are proud to support over 600 adults across nine communities and services throughout England via supported living and day placement opportunities.
The Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in embedding a relationship fundraising culture across the wider Trust and driving income growth from major donors, trusts/foundations and potential corporate income. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and with senior-level support the post holder will develop and deliver this income stream which has such high potential for Camphill Village Trust.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid track record of growing income from charitable trusts and major donors and of building long-term relationships with funders. You will have worked strategically at manager level to develop and deliver philanthropic giving plans with successful financial outcomes. A sound understanding of current charity law, compliance, and fundraising best practices as they apply to major funders is crucial along with a passion for the work of Camphill Village Trust.

Role overview:
As a Lead Assessor, you'll play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity of our AP scheme. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive assessment visits to units undergoing evaluation within the scheme. Working hand in hand with service user perspective assessors, you'll monitor all Headway AP core domains during onsite visits.
Key responsibilities:
- Review relevant documentation ahead of onsite visits.
- Collaborate with service user perspective assessors during visits, focusing on core domain monitoring.
- Facilitate post-visit debriefing meetings with assessors to ensure thorough discussion and alignment.
- Maintain open communication channels with the AP Manager to address any assessment-related queries or challenges.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports in collaboration with assessors, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Deliver finalised reports to the AP Manager and communicate outcomes to units undergoing assessment.
Flexibility and expectations:
This role offers flexibility, with the expectation of completing a minimum of 4 assessments within a year. This allows you to balance your professional commitments while making a meaningful impact within our AP scheme.
Hourly rate and expenses:
The hourly rate for this role is £20.00, covering administrative tasks pre and post-visit, visit duration, and travel time. Additionally, travel expenses will be covered.
Candidate profile:
- Hold a professional qualification (e.g., OT, SaLT, Nursing, Physio) with demonstrated experience in ABI.
- Exhibit unwavering objectivity and impartiality during assessments.
- Uphold strict confidentiality standards in handling sensitive information.
- Possess a solid understanding of key legislation and frameworks pertinent to ABI care provision.
- Able to review and analyse evidence thoroughly.
- Skilled in engaging with staff, service users, and families.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel independently to assessment visits.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Engaging with mid-value major donors and small trusts and foundations to secure crucial funding, ensuring the successful achievement of personal and team income targets.
- Managing and nurturing existing donor relationships, providing exceptional stewardship and ensuring continued support.
- Leading the development and implementation of a robust Prospect Research strategy to identify potential funders and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Playing a key role in cultivating and stewarding prospective donors, fostering meaningful relationships and driving income growth for the team.

Essential Criteria:
