We are seeking an ambitious, creatively driven marketing leader to shape how broad audiences discover, engage with and return to art at scale.

Position: Head of Marketing
Salary: £72,769 per annum
Location: London
Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

This is a rare leadership opportunity to shape the next chapter of campaigns for a world renowned cultural organisation. You will set the strategic direction for an integrated marketing function, leading bold, innovative work that drives audience growth, returning visitors and engagement with diverse audiences.

Working across exhibitions, events, site destinations and digital platforms, you will bring strong commercial instinct, creative judgement and audience insight to campaigns that deliver impact at scale.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and leading an integrated marketing strategy focused on audience growth and engagement
  • Leading campaign strategy and planning to meet audience and revenue targets
  • Acting as brand guardian, ensuring consistent and positive positioning across all marketing touchpoints
  • Using audience insight, data and analytics to inform strategy, planning and evaluation
  • Overseeing integrated campaigns across advertising, digital, social, print, partnerships, promotions and onsite activity
  • Driving audience development initiatives, particularly with young people, families, local communities and international visitors
  • Working closely with CRM and membership teams to deepen engagement and support growth
  • Leading creative development and overseeing high quality marketing content
  • Managing agencies, media buying, procurement and performance reporting

About You

You will be a strategic and inspiring senior marketer with experience leading high profile brand campaigns across multiple channels.

You will bring:

  • Substantial experience leading and delivering marketing strategy for a major brand
  • A strong track record in integrated campaign delivery across multiple media
  • Expertise in digital marketing including social, PPC, email and content
  • Strong audience development and brand positioning experience
  • Excellent creative and editorial judgement
  • Strong knowledge of media planning and advertising channels
  • Experience using data, insight and segmentation to improve performance
  • Leadership skills with experience developing high performing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion and broadening access
