Key Responsibilities

Partnership delivery and coordination

• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for delivery partners, supporting advisors and caseworkers to operate effectively within the agreed delivery model.
• Coordinate partner onboarding, ongoing engagement, and operational problem-solving across the delivery partnership.
• Support partners to use agreed systems, processes, and referral routes consistently and effectively.

Health system engagement and referrals

General

• Escalate risks, capacity issues, or delivery concerns to the Head of Partnerships in a timely way.

Person Specification

Experience and knowledge:

• Experience working in a partnership, coordination, or programme support role within a charity, public-sector, or health-related setting.
• Experience supporting delivery partners, advice services, or multi-agency projects, for example through coordination, liaison, or operational support.
• Some experience of working with, or alongside, NHS organisations, healthcare professionals, or public-sector partners, or the confidence to develop this quickly.
• Understanding of referral-based services and how people access support through different organisations.

We are looking for two dedicated and enthusiastic Students' Union Advisers to provide money and academic advice, guidance, advocacy and support to help our students navigate the various challenges they face. Though we support and signpost our students regardless of their issue, the majority of our caseload relates to Student Finance and other money issues so applicants with relevant experience and expertise are encouraged to apply. Working within a team of five Advisers to deliver our free, impartial and confidential service, the successful applicant will advise students on primarily Money, Academic and Disciplinary matters. As a dynamic and agile organisation, we always signpost or advocate where we cannot directly advise, and so expect to help students facing challenges from everything from housing to sexual violence.

Our Advice Team advises across telephone, Microsoft Teams and face to face appointments, alongside monitoring a shared email inbox, supporting colleagues with research and data analysis, contributing to and creating various resources and occasionally attending university committees or working groups to provide technical expertise. Occasional weekend and evening work (to support the delivery of Open Days) will be required, as well as occasional work at our sites in Stafford and London. There are two vacancies available, totalling 1.5 FTE. Person Requirements 

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience delivering information/advice and managing a caseload, including prioritising effectively, assessing risk, and communicating professionally with students and partners.
• Demonstrable expertise in at least one area relevant to the role (e.g., academic appeals, student finance/welfare benefits, consumer rights, or legal issues).
• Experience supporting individuals facing complex or sensitive matters (e.g., wellbeing, housing, incidents of sexual violence), demonstrating empathy and sensitivity, whilst maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Ability to advocate on behalf of students and support them through formal processes (e.g., academic or disciplinary procedures), interpreting and applying relevant policies and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail in records/case notes; confident use of Microsoft 365 (e.g., Teams, Outlook, Word).

Desirable Criteria

• Experience supervising, supporting or training volunteers or staff.
• Experience providing personal finance/budgeting guidance.

Details of this role

Hours: We are recruiting two posts totalling 1.5 FTE. The roles are offered on an annualised hours contract, with full-time based on 37 hours per week (1,687 working hours per annum plus 244 hours annual leave). Part-time hours and leave will be calculated on a pro rata basis.

Holiday: 5 Weeks per year plus Bank Holidays pro rata (That's 33 days!)

We are seeking an experienced and diligent HR Administrator to provide HR admin support to the organisation. You will be responsible for all HR administration, including the production of HR paperwork, and serve as the day-to-day generalist HR contact for all employees. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities. 

This is part-time fixed-term position, as we review the organisation’s needs in this area, and will be subject to review and possible extension at the end of six months.

As a small charity (c. 35 staff including part-time and casual workers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with more senior HR responsibilities. You'll be based in the office (a lovely rural setting near Twyford, Reading) for at least two days per week and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them.

About the team​

The Policy team is a small, collaborative and collegiate team looking to expand. We have a unique set-up, sitting separately to but working closely alongside the Communications team as part of the wider Public Affairs team. We influence key decision makers through direct engagement with senior officials, commissioning and sharing research and insight and supporting coalitions which include our portfolio charities to take their voice to decision makers to secure policy and funding commitments.

The team also works across the organisation, presenting insight to inform our investment decisions and making a compelling case to generate new financial commitments for our work.

About this role

The Public Affairs Officer is a new and exciting role in a rapidly expanding organisation at the forefront of youth policy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the strengthening of Impetus’ public affairs profile, as well as support colleagues to strengthen and maintain relationships with parliamentarians, decision-makers, sector stakeholders and wider civil society.

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to getting the support young people from disadvantaged background need in education and employment. You’ll have a passion for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across government and the third sector. You will have a good understanding of the UK’s policy environment with an interest in increasing your knowledge and relationships in this area and developing and expanding links with a range of parliamentary, government and other key stakeholders.

The Public Affairs Officer will be part of the wider Public Affairs Team. Though you will report to the Head of Youth Employment Policy, you will work across both our education and employment policy work, and will be expected to regularly collaborate with the Communications Team, and will understand the role of communications in shaping the political agenda and the public debate. You will have experience of writing for a wide range of audiences, ranging from policy briefings to social media content.

This role supports the delivery of high-quality public affairs work, following agreed plans, templates and processes, and escalating risks or issues promptly.

We’re interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong organisational skills, with experience of either leading or supporting the coordination and delivery of events. We’d particularly like to hear from candidates who have managed a CRM database such as Salesforce. You will be a strong team player, with a collaborative working style.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Heads of Policy and Communications teams to contribute to public affairs plans by providing research, coordination and administrative support from the outset of each project

One in 20 adults in the UK has never learnt to read at all. This can have a serious impact on their confidence and wellbeing, limiting access to training, employment, and everyday opportunities that many take for granted. Being unable to read as an adult can be isolating and dangerous, reinforces social inequality, restricts economic growth, and worsens intergenerational disadvantage - but it is never too late to learn.

Read Easy helps adults transform their lives by learning to read. It does this by supporting its growing network of locally run, volunteer-led affiliated groups that offer free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching—both in person and online to adults - aged from 18-88. 

With its free, flexible, confidential approach, Read Easy encourages people who are too embarrassed to join a class to come forward for one-to-one support. Each new reader is provided with their own personal Reading Coach, so that they can learn in private and at their own pace. Learning to read transforms their lives in many other ways as well, including enabling them to support their children’s and grandchildren’s reading, and so transfers the benefits to the next generation.

There are currently 80 affiliated Read Easy groups across England, together involving more than a thousand volunteers. Read Easy UK is the registered charity and umbrella organisation which supports this network of affiliated volunteer groups and provides the structure, training and support to enable volunteers to establish groups in new areas.

As our Central Regional Adviser, your role would be to provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure that all volunteer groups consistently deliver high-quality services aligned with Read Easy UK’s strategy.

You will support local volunteer leaders to strengthen group performance, and foster collaboration across affiliated groups, so that that they deliver coaching to Readers with consistent quality, and a positive and worthwhile experience is had by all.

You will also find volunteers to ‘pioneer’ three new groups in the counties where there is no Read Easy presence in the East and West Midlands and East of England and provide them and our 29 existing groups and pioneers in the region, with high-quality support. Your quality support will ensure that they provide the same for their volunteers and new Readers. From meeting (mostly online) with Team Leaders to provide one to one support, and hosting online and annual in-person volunteer forums, to delivering presentations and occasional training for small groups of volunteers, this is a dynamic and rewarding role.

This is a home-based post requiring flexibility, some early evening working and occasional travel to visit groups. The role is available on either a full or part time basis (min 32 hours p/w, 85% of 37.5 hours p/w FTE).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Live within one of the following areas: West Midlands (Defined as the 7 metropolitan boroughs of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, and Wolverhampton), Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire or Rutland;
• have been employed to work with volunteers for at least two years;
• have strong people management and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; and the confidence to run meetings and deliver presentations.

Salary & Benefits 

• Annual Salary £25,973 (85% FTE) - £30,385 (100% FTE)

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a Data Administrator to provide high-quality client contact, data management and performance reporting for our Connect to Work service in Enfield borough.

This role plays a central part in ensuring the service runs smoothly and meets contractual requirements. You will act as a first point of contact for new referrals, while also leading on accurate data entry, reporting and insight to support service delivery and continuous improvement.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining people-facing work with structured, detail-focused data and administrative responsibilities, and who is motivated by supporting people to move towards employment.

What you’ll be doing

If you were working with us, you would be at the heart of how our Connect to Work service demonstrates impact, quality and compliance.

You would take ownership of data management for the Enfield Connect to Work contract. That means ensuring accurate and timely data entry across multiple systems, including DWP PRaP, always in line with GDPR and contractual requirements. You would maintain high-quality client records and digital filing systems, proactively spotting and resolving data integrity issues before they become problems.

You would turn data into insight. Using the DWP dashboard, Excel tools and performance dashboards, you would collate, analyse and interpret service activity and outcomes. You would produce clear, concise KPI and performance reports for commissioners, senior managers and operational teams. Your analysis would help identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve performance and strengthen employment outcomes for participants.

You would also lead on audit preparation and ensure our reporting meets IPS and Fidelity standards. When a new CRM is introduced by the funder, you would support a smooth transition, provide feedback to developers and help embed the system within the team.

Alongside data responsibilities, you would play a key role in referrals. You would act as a first point of contact for new participants, undertaking eligibility assessments using a structured questionnaire. You would confidently and sensitively gather information relating to employment, mental health and physical health needs, and provide clear information about the service and next steps. Where risks or safeguarding concerns arise, you would escalate appropriately and in line with service protocols.

You would handle general enquiries from participants and stakeholders, signposting where Connect to Work is not the right provision. You would liaise with Local London regarding referral submissions and ensure tracking systems are up to date.

Internally, you would support frontline colleagues by providing training and guidance on data entry and performance recording requirements. You would help create simple, robust systems so advisers can focus on supporting participants into work.

In short, you would combine strong technical data skills with excellent communication and a genuine commitment to quality. Your work would ensure that our service is compliant, insightful and continuously improving.
