Are you a good communicator and curious about people? We’re looking for an Involvement Assistant Apprentice to join the Involvement team and support activities that enable us to gather evidence to better understand peoples’ experiences, across the full spectrum of lived experience of dementia. You’ll support key involvement activities  influencing local and national work, helping us to make the case for change as well  working on projects that have a direct impact on people’s daily lives. 

You’ll have the opportunity to take forward a project that will support the Alzheimer’s Society to reach and involve more people affected by dementia.
 
The apprenticeship is for 18 months and in this role, you will complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

About you
You will play a key co-ordination and support role within the Involvement Team. Working with colleagues, people living with dementia and their family, friends and carers in person and by telephone, email, via social media channels and over teams and zoom.
 
You’ll be supporting activities that enable people with lived and learnt experience to collaborate, sharing their knowledge, skills and opinions to help plan, shape and influence the work of Alzheimer’s Society.

Patience, empathy and a willingness to learn are essential skills. Someone who is self-motivated and has great interpersonal skills. You’ll be technically literate /IT proficient and interested in learning how to use our Dementia Voice Database. 

6 hours per week will be dedicated to the apprenticeship and developing in the role. 

At the end of the apprenticeship training, you will complete an End Point Assessment where you will present a portfolio of the work that you have completed that links to a set of competencies set at the start and you will present a specific project you have worked on.

About the Senior Uniformed Events Officer role:

We are currently seeking an experienced events professional to join our busy Operations team to coordinate, deliver and promote MSSC uniformed events. Based at our London NSC, the Senior Uniformed Events Officer will be responsible for delivering a series of existing events and for identifying opportunities to expand the event calendar by developing effective strategies and plans designed to maximise the charities profile. The role demands an organised and flexible approach to work including evening and weekends.

Responsibilities as our Senior Uniformed Events Officer will include:

• Ensuring that eventse.g. Armed Forces Day, Trafalgar Day Parade, Belgium Cenotaph Parade, RN Carol Service (and the uniformed elements of other events) are properly organised to produce optimum benefit in raising the profile and maximising the reputation of the charity
• Working alongside other team memberse.g. Events and Competitions Manager in the delivery of nonand uniformed events and support competitions where appropriate
• Effectively liaising with all levels of staff within MSSC departments, areas and both uniformed and non-uniformed personnel within MSSC, to ensure the smooth and safe running of national eventsand your support of national competitions
• Managing MODNET laptops for MSSC employees and limited RN personnel
• Developing uniformed eventsand competition support that, enables, and conforms to the charity’s latest objectives and strategy
• Ensuring that all allocated uniformed events and national competition support undertaken conform to the charities Policies, Procedures and other associated documentation. Including the management of the competitive experience via documented and rules
• Ensuring that both the CSC and DDOps are regularly informed of progress and opportunities thereinand attend regular meetingsand updates as required

Requirements needed to become our Senior Uniformed Events Officer:

• Two years’ experience of managing uniformed events
• Experience of developing and implementing a variety of uniformed events from small intimate receptions to large public facing engagements with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Experience/knowledge working in a uniformed youth environment
• Experience of working with volunteers
• Experience of managing complex uniformed events budgets
• Uniformed role with a MOD Sponsored Cadet Force

Project Management

Finance Officer – Sales Ledger

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to join the Finance Team as a Finance Officer working on the sales ledger.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, processing income types including membership fees, grants and donations. They will be required to collaborate with Butterfly Conservation’s branches, reconcile income and maintain control accounts. Duties will also include being responsible for handling invoicing and banking procedures maintaining strict financial controls whilst also demonstrating exceptional customer service.

You will have proven financial experience preferably having worked within a charitable setting focusing on sales ledger management. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and financial software are also essential requirements of the postholder together with effective communication skills when liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Flexibility will also be required to support system implementations and covering other work within the department, when required.

About the Role

Applications are invited for the role of Church Buildings Officer to work within the Church Buildings team and support the work of the Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches (DAC).

The main duties of the Church Buildings Officer will include:

• Providing guidance, advice and support to parishes, Archdeacons, and others on the care of church buildings, church contents and churchyards
• Assisting the Senior Church Buildings Officer with the preparation for committee meetings, drafting minutes, and progressing applications for permissions for works to church buildings between meetings.

• Arranging and attending site visits to churches across Sussex to discuss major projects, and writing up site visit reports, passing on the DAC’s initial advice

About You

With a relevant degree or equivalent experience, you will have knowledge and an understanding of the historic built environment.

You will also have experience of providing administration support and working with committees and/or volunteers

You will have:

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ERP Programme Director to lead the successful delivery of MSI’s global finance and supply chain transformation programme. This programme will transform our capabilities and delivery across MSI’s 37 Country Programmes and Global Support Office (GSO) with the introduction of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology, driving us forward to deliver our vital mission.

The Director will shape the overall programme from the outset, so that it is set up for success. The successful candidate will need deep transformation and ERP experience, delivering full ERP programme lifecycles in complex organisations like MSI. For the programme to be successful, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across MSI’s Country Programmes, Regional and Global Support Offices will be crucial.
