Join us and use your skills, knowledge, passion and energy to help us achieve a future free from arthritis.

Are you an experienced and confident HR professional, customer-focused and practical in your approach? At Versus Arthritis we are committed to developing and supporting our people, using a business partnering approach to enable us to do this. This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to make our charity a brilliant place to work and volunteer.

About the role

This role is about building key relationships with organisation leaders to support and advise on delivering the people agenda and improving organisational performance to push back against arthritis.

The People Business Partner will work closely with key stakeholders across the charity to provide advice, support and guidance, developing our workforce to enable delivery of strategic goals and to positively impact people with arthritis. It’s about:

  • effective workforce planning
  • influencing, coaching and advising
  • learning, evaluating and improving
  • building key relationships, and supporting and advising on all people-related activities.

About you

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:

  • Qualified to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of supporting organisational change.
  • Significant generalist HR experience, including managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Strong and effective communicator, with the ability to engage stakeholders.
  • A flexible, pragmatic and creative approach, redefining problems in light of information gathered or changes of context.
  • Evidence of effectively working with ambiguity and comfortable working at pace.
  • Strong advising and coaching skills, enabling managers to develop their knowledge, confidence and capability in managing people whilst taking a balanced approach to risk and reputation.

*As a hybrid worker the expectation is that you will spend around 40% of your working time in our office spaces or working in community settings. As an inclusive employer we will consider home-based working for anyone where office-based hybrid working would be a barrier to being able to work for us, for example for someone living with a long-term health condition or disability.

Application deadline and shortlisting

  • We advise candidates to apply early as we reserve the right to close applications ahead of this date.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

We do not wish to receive contact from agencies or media sales.

Interview

First interview expected on Wednesday, 19 June at our London office - Saffron House, 6-10 Kirby Street, London, EC1N 8TS.

We will also make any reasonable adjustments you may require for your interview.
