You will lead a two-year project contributing to the work of the No Wrong Door partnership – local organisations and local residents working together to ensure there is ‘No Wrong Door’ for Black Disabled people seeking employment, as they can expect excellent support from any organisation.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Administration

About the role
Our Workplace Wellbeing Team has grown considerably in the past few years, and we take pride in delivering great training and raising awareness about mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. As a Customer Experience and Sales Coordinator (Training), you would be key to the smooth running of our training team, ensuring customer needs are more than met. You’ll be well organised and able to prioritise tasks to ensure your training customers get a great training experience. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for generating and acting on sales leads to deliver income to targets. A natural problem solver and good communicator, you’ll be in regular contact with customers, trainers, finance and the wider Solent Mind team. Ideally, you’ll have worked in a similar role and have confidence in sales, events, using a CRM and a range of Microsoft tools, such as Excel, Office, Teams, PowerPoint.

About the role:
This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed hours of Monday to Friday 7pm to 11pm.
As a Helpline Adviser you will be: -
- Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies
- Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
- Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.
- Managing and responding appropriately to competing priorities, services and needs.
- Responsible for taking disclosures and responding appropriately by either escalating the safeguarding concern to the 'Designated Safeguarding Officer' or to respond immediately to life threatening situations.
You will need:
- Experience of working in challenging and changing environments with the emphasis on excellence in service delivery.
- Experience of organising and prioritising a complex workload.
- The ability to deal sensitively with challenging and emotionally charged situations, demonstrate empathy and control own emotions.

In October 2022 Salford City Council commissioned Salford CVS to undertake research into the strengths of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector as part of their Joint Needs and Strengths Assessment.
Every three years since 2008, Salford CVS leads on State of the VCSE Sector research in Salford and also across Greater Manchester. Working with other local infrastructure organisations, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the VCSE sector. Our last research report was published in 2021 and we have started planning for the research to be conducted this year.
In August 2023 we further developed our VCSE sector research and insight work with the commencement of our Salford 99 longitudinal study. This research project is designed to understand the issues affecting the VCSE sector in Salford and aims to track 99 VCSE organisations every six months for a three-year period, so that we gain ‘live’ insight in between our three-yearly State of the VCSE sector large research project. Alongside this work we conduct a Pulse Check survey with a variety of VCSE organisations to get a snapshot of what is changing for them each quarter.
This exciting VCS Research and Insight role involves a combination of VCSE engagement and insight work across Salford.

Recovery Workers ensure our clients are at the heart of everything we do. They are responsible for inspiring the people who use our services to lead their own recovery, while maintaining their tenancy and independence in the community. Together they co-produce a personalised support plan designed to address their specific needs and achieve their goals and aspirations. Recovery Workers also develop your leadership skills by taking on lead areas and extra responsibilities. The support work at our service varies a lot so not every day or support session is the same. BACKGROUND:
For many families there are issues that precede a young person’s gang involvement. Personal circumstances typically involve poverty, unsuitable housing, separation, family conflict, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health and imprisonment.
Gang involvement increases the risk of violence and victimisation to the young person, their friends and their family, therefore, it essential when supporting young people to exit gangs we adopt a ‘whole family’ approach.
A ‘whole family’ approach involves working with the family to assess risk, ensuring all family members feel safe, mentoring young people who are involved in or at risk of gang and serious youth violence and offering holistic support to enable the family to achieve their potential and raise aspirations.
Without the right support, families can become trapped in a cycle of homelessness, crime, unemployment and poverty that is passed on from generation to generation.
St Giles Trust solution to this stark reality is our Children & Families Service. The C&F team offer an intensive and holistic approach that seeks to understand the complex and inter-related family issues behind poverty in order to resolve them. Children & Families Caseworkers break the cycle, unlocking chaotic families’ potential, and empowering them to raise themselves out of poverty.
Key Deliverables:
- To develop and maintain relationships with other agencies, ensuring a steady flow of referrals to the project; in particular schools, PRU’s, Youth Offending Services and Children’s Social Care.
- To support families using a 1:1 tailored and holistic practical & emotional support to improve mental health & wellbeing, housing, finances, living environment and increase their readiness to engage in training and employment
- To complete initial needs assessments with families and support them to develop individual action plans and regularly review to assess progress
- To promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process and to include involved agencies in the delivery of the services
- To carry out and review thorough risk management plans with families ensuring each family member has an age-appropriate safety plan
- Provide a client led support service that responds to individual’s needs. Key elements will include supporting with housing, finances, schooling, parenting, health and wellbeing, ETE and criminal justice
- To support families who are affected by domestic violence, this will include working with victims and perpetrators
- To deliver the service in a timely and targeted manner, working through identified issues on the action plan, promoting case closure as an achievable outcome
- To close cases effectively and positively, identifying a survival plan for the client that can be used for ongoing support and agencies that can be used if serious problems develop in the future
- To support the Team Leader with other tasks as and when required
- To carry out any other similar duties as required, including providing support to other St Giles Trust projects on occasion.

Experience:
- Experience of working with socially excluded children, young people and adults. (A)
- Experience of providing advice and guidance and/or mentoring to Families. (A)
- Experience in negotiating and networking with partner agencies to establish links to further the aims of a project.
- Experience of successfully engaging with challenging families and young people, for example people those who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused.
Qualifications:
- Mentoring Level 3 qualification (or be willing to work towards this). (A)
- Any other level 3 and up qualifications.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of anti-discriminatory working practices, and the implications of both within the working environment.
- Practical application of diversity awareness and unconscious bias in employment.(A)
- Knowledge of and commitment to safeguarding practices and policies, and an ability to promote safeguarding among vulnerable clients and colleagues. (A)
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to be a flexible and co-operative member of a team.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the issues faced by our client group, in particular barriers faced by people with lived in experience. (A)
- Ability to work alongside other professionals, professionally representing St Giles Trust
- The ability to use and develop monitoring systems to record all aspects of the project, and the ability to write case studies on sessions with young people.
- Ability to calculate risk and implement safety procedures when engaging with clients.
- An ability to recognise the signs of child sexual and criminal exploitation (CSE and CCE) and, following safeguarding policies and measures, take appropriate action.
- Strong IT skills including proven experience of using Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook in a similar work environment. Ability to work with case database (e.g. Inform) on a day-to-day basis.

We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Officer to join our busy and creative Fundraising Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience of making successful applications to trusts, foundations and other grant making organisations to build and steward a portfolio of funders as we set out on the beginning of our trusts fundraising journey.
About the role
This role is being offered at a minimum of 14 hours per week and a maximum of 21 hours per week, to be worked during office hours Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
You will work closely with colleagues across the charity, learning about the different services we provide to both animals and pet owners and shaping projects for funding from your findings.
In particular you will:
- Research, identify and prioritise applications to trusts and foundations for which Bristol A.R.C. meets the funding criteria.
- Analyse the trusts and foundations landscape to enable the charity to fully understand the scope for potential funding
- Work with colleagues across the charity to create strong cases for support and shape projects for funding across all areas of our work. Ensure that we are maximising our trust and foundation funding potential by highlighting the lesser-known areas of our work and wide range of beneficiaries (animals and human).
- Write and submit high quality, targeted funding applications, including multi-year funding requests where appropriate.
- Maintain the trusts and foundations prospect and funder records on our fundraising database.
- Work with the Finance Department to ensure trusts and foundation income is administered correctly.
About you:
- You will have a creative approach to your work, ensuring that we are maximising our funding potential by highlighting the lesser-known areas of our work and our wide range of beneficiaries both animal and human.
- You will take a strategic approach, prioritising your workload to ensure you are balancing your time between researching potential funders, making high quality, targeted funding applications and stewarding organisations who have already supported our work.
What we are looking for in you:
- Proven experience and success in developing and drafting proposals and/or reports raising funds from trusts, foundations and other grant making organisations.
- Experience of research techniques applicable to identifying funding opportunities and framing funding bids.
- Able to convey complex information accurately, succinctly and engagingly.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent IT skills, including strong understanding of databases.
- Resilience and ability to use own initiative, manage competing demands, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
