We are looking for Senior Support Workers to join our growing team in Bidford On Avon. Experience is not essential as we will provide you with support and training to become a confident Senior Support Worker. Hft is a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities. Here at Bidford On Avon we support eleven individuals split between our two residential services, between them they enjoy doing various activities such as meals out, going to Cadbury’s world, watching trains and feeding ducks. They also enjoy going swimming, if this is something you enjoy doing this might be to role for you! Here at Orchard View we aim to support each individual to live their best life possible and support them with their daily living.

What will you be doing?
Giving the highest possible standards of support to individuals with moderate to severe learning disabilities.
Supporting them to discover new interests, reaching goals like travelling and holidays and working positively with their families and friends.
Helping individuals to engage in different leisure, home or work-related activities, all according to their personal choice.
As a Senior Support Worker (Care Assistant), your responsibilities are varied and no two days are the same.
As well as providing physical and emotional support you may be needed to help with household tasks and personal care as well as supporting individuals with healthcare needs, e.g. taking medication.
Everything you do will enable people to have choices about their own lives, providing flexible services that meet people’s needs, and always looking for the best way of doing things.

Our Youth and Community team based at our North Bristol Hub in Lawrence Weston are looking for a special, talented, and adaptable Youth Worker, to help us strengthen and sustain our range of community and targeted youth programmes across Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton, Sea Mills, Henbury and Avonmouth. You will work alongside our Lead Youth Worker to:
· design, plan, and deliver weekly open access session for young people in Lawrence Weston
· deliver high quality 1:1 service through our Bridging programme across North Bristol
· deliver innovated activities for young people in the community in line with the city-wide Youth Vision.
We are looking for individuals who have:
· Experience of working alongside other statutory and voluntary organisations.
· Able to work a minimum of two evenings per week.
· Previous experience in implementing youth programmes.
· Knowledge of safeguarding practices with young people.
While a relevant qualification in Youth & Community Work would be desirable, we are open to applicants with significant experience instead.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Ability to shape and lead policy programmes professionally and strategically, working with others
- Skill in building strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders including senior officials, elected representatives, people with experience of mental health problems and people who experience inequity
- Experience of working in a public policy role, with experience of a range of policy and public affairs approaches and work
- Knowledge of public health and/or mental health policy or a related field
