About the work

We are an Arts Council England Investment Principles Support Organisation. Our members are leaders in children and young people’s public libraries and schools library services (SLS). 

The Development and Delivery Manager (Projects) is a new role for the charity. You will work with a small and growing team, who are passionate about our mission and vision. You will also work with our members (leaders of children’s public library and School Library Service leaders) and sector partners.

We are in the final stages of creating our strategy for the future. You’ll be supporting us with organisational and sector development across all pillars, with a particular focus on our Thriving Charity goals.

Job purpose

To lead and deliver a range priority projects and funding bids for the charity.

The purpose of the role includes:

Purpose of the job

You will be experienced in developing high quality funding propositions (proactively and in response to new business opportunities). You will be confident in taking a human-centred design approach to tackle some of the youth sector’s knottiest problems.  You will design solutions to important problems, ensuring that they are feasible, equitable, impactful and scalable.

In 2026, our priority topics for youth work programmes and network development are: mental health and wellbeing, employability, social cohesion and community safety.

 As a leader, you will work closely with research, evaluation, policy, service delivery, network development, and fundraising teams. You will help to improve the skills and confidence of colleagues across UK Youth to apply design methods in their own work and collaborate effectively with the Design team.

The EDI Officer role focuses on enhancing equity in health access and outcomes for all social groups within the local community, particularly in OUH palliative care services. The post holder will collaborate closely with palliative medicine colleagues to develop and lead projects aimed at improving EDI aspects across all Palliative Care departments.

This will be achieved by implementing the five-year EDI strategy plan, which supports hospice teams in integrating EDI considerations in all areas of care. Additionally, the role involves contributing to Trust-wide Health Inequalities initiatives through collaboration with the Trust’s EDI colleagues and Patient Experience Team and various internal and external stakeholders to meet EDI and health inequalities objectives.

· Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Oversee the implementation of the EDI Strategy for the Palliative Medicine Department to ensure services meet the needs of the diverse population in the catchment area.

· Data Collection and Analysis: Review and analyse data on groups with protected characteristics and/or who may experience palliative care health inequalities within our catchment.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a part-time (0.7 FTE) Head of Outreach.

Our vision is for a world where bumblebees are thriving and valued by everyone.

This role will:

• Lead on the development and implementation of an Outreach Strategy that inspires people and organisations, including policy makers, to take action for bumblebees. (Aim 2 of the Trust’s strategy)
• Lead on behaviour change impact reporting, ensuring data collection methods and tools are fit for purpose, and staff and volunteers have the necessary training and support to confidently report on the impact of face-to-face outreach activities.
• Lead on project development activities and work with the fundraising team to generate income to fund the sustainable growth of the Trust’s outreach activities across the UK.

Finance Manager (Part-Time)

This is a key role within the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees and wider Senior Management Team. You’ll oversee all financial activity, ensure compliance with Charity SORP and relevant regulations, and support the organisation to operate efficiently and responsibly.

About the role

You will lead on all financial reporting, planning and compliance, and ensure financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making. You will also manage one member of staff (Finance Administrator) and work with colleagues across the organisation to support budgeting, forecasting, project costing and grant applications.

Key responsibilities

Board & Leadership

• Advise the CEO and Board on all financial matters, ensuring all legal and financial requirements are met.
• Attend Board and relevant sub-committee meetings.
• Provide financial input for the Strategic Business Plan and other analysis as required.

Reporting

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, restricted/unrestricted funds and balance sheet reporting.
• Lead the year-end process with external accountants, including audit/independent exam planning, reconciliations, site visits and production of Financial Statements.
• Work with the CEO and department leads to prepare the annual budget and provide variance analysis for Board approval.
• Produce a six‑month reforecast.
• Monitor restricted funds and update the Fundraising and Client Services teams.
• Track reserves and ensure adherence to the reserves policy.

Tax

• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring correct application of partial exemption rules.
• Review gift aid and GASDS claims to ensure compliance and maximise income.

Payroll

• Ensure compliance with pensions, NMW and tax regulations.
• Oversee P11Ds and payrolling of benefits (where applicable).
• Support and oversee the Finance Administrator with SAGE payroll and keep up to date with relevant tax/employment law changes.
• Review payroll before submission.

Other responsibilities

• Manage high‑level cashflow and work with the Finance Administrator on daily cash monitoring.
• Line-manage the Finance Administrator.
• Support departments with project budgets, cashflows and grant applications.
• Develop and update financial systems and controls as the organisation evolves.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure cost‑effective purchasing (including IT, utilities and contracts).
• Contribute to the wider SMT.
• Maintain the chart of accounts in SAGE and ensure monthly reconciliations and journals are completed.
• Keep up with CPD requirements.
• Carry out other duties as required.

Essential criteria

• Experience working in a charity, with strong knowledge of Charity SORP (old and new).
• Experience using SAGE 50.
• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA).

Our Information and Advice service provides rights-based information, advice and advocacy on Welfare Benefits, Social Care and Housing options; practical assistance with individual grant applications, accessing social tariffs, blue/purple badge and taxi card applications. The service is delivered through a range of channels, including face to face, telephone, email and digital, across Kensington and Chelsea borough.

Are you an experienced operational leader with experience of developing and innovating services which improve client experience for vulnerable adults?

We are looking for someone to join St Mungo’s as Assistant Director of Client Experience. This new post brings together a range of services that deliver added value to our service offer for clients.

From leading the work on client involvement, to developing and delivering learning, training and employment interventions, to providing advice and improving our practice on welfare rights and complex health and wellbeing needs, this role is central to delivering our work to support clients to rebuild their lives.

As Assistant Director of Client Experience, you will work closely with client services and fundraising colleagues, bringing these areas together to ensure we deliver compelling services that enhance our client experience, attract funders, and clearly demonstrate their impact and value.

You will embed a culture of collaboration, strengthening partnerships with different organisations so that, across the system, we work towards providing the services our clients need and that achieve the greatest impact.

In this role you will:

• Oversee client involvement, resident engagement and lived experience apprenticeship schemes.
• Lead the coordination of our volunteers and the assessment of social work student placements.
• Oversee services offering clients learning, training and employment support.
• Lead work that supports clients and colleagues to navigate the welfare system, and to manage complex needs such as health, substance use, palliative care and bereavement.
• Focus on increasing our innovation, testing and learning from different interventions.

About you

We are looking for an experienced operational leader with a background in leading teams delivering services to groups of vulnerable adult clients. You will bring a passion for client involvement and a track record of developing, innovating and strengthening service offers and bringing teams together.

Your leadership will be committed, empowering, accountable, creative and inclusive. You will be an excellent problem solver with strong communication and influencing skills, able to engage colleagues at all levels and build effective partnerships across the sector. You will also have experience of managing budgets and using complex data to inform decisions and improve performance.

Above all, you make things happen. You drive progress efficiently while building engagement and collaboration, ensuring outcomes are delivered and meet the needs of the organisation.

Flexible working

This post is offered on a full time basis (37.5 hours per week), or part time hours can be considered (minimum 22.5 hours per week). We are open to discussions about different working patterns, for example condensed hours.

We support flexible and agile working. This role is London-based, with an expectation of working from our Central Office or one of our services at least 2 days per week to support collaboration, leadership, training and relationship-building. Due to the nature of the role, you will also work across different London and regional services and be expected to spend a significant part of your time our engaging with colleagues and clients in our services.

Our Central Office is currently located in Tower Hill, with a plan to relocate to a new space in Farringdon in summer 2026.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Housing to lead our supported housing services nationally and help shape the next stage of our growth.

As Director of Housing, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all of Life’s supported housing services. This is a key role within the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for ensuring our housing provision is high‑quality, compliant, safe and truly centred around the needs of our clients.

You will lead our national Housing Strategy, drive service improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, support organisational growth, and champion a culture of compassion, accountability and high performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Growth

• Develop and deliver a national Housing Strategy aligned to Life’s vision and mission.
• Identify housing development and expansion opportunities, including partnerships with local authorities and commissioners.
• Support organisational business planning and future growth.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Ensure full compliance with housing legislation and regulatory requirements including the Social Housing (Regulation) Act, HHSRS, safeguarding and Health & Safety.
• Lead regulatory audits, inspections and risk management.
• Provide assurance on compliance and viability to the CEO and Trustees.

Service Quality & Client Experience

• Embed a client-centred, compassionate approach aligned with Housing Ombudsman principles.
• Oversee effective complaints management, learning reviews and client feedback systems.
• Ensure properties and services meet high standards of safety, warmth and comfort.

Operational Leadership

• Lead housing management, income recovery, voids, repairs and maintenance, compliance and tenancy sustainment.
• Ensure effective escalation of tenancy breaches and safeguarding practices.
• Work closely with Life’s Helpline services around referral and allocations.

Financial & Asset Management

• Oversee rental income, arrears, void control and financial performance.
• Manage contracts, grants and local authority funding.
• Ensure major works, planned maintenance and statutory compliance are delivered effectively.

Leadership & People Management

• Lead and support Housing Managers, support teams and frontline workers.
• Foster a positive culture of accountability, inclusion and high standards.
• Support staff development and performance.

Partnership Management

• Build strong relationships with local authorities, property professionals, contractors, funders and other key partners.
• Represent Life at external forums and sector networks.

About you:

Essential

• CIH Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification
• Senior leadership experience in supported housing, social housing, or homelessness services
• Strong knowledge of housing law, tenancy management and regulatory compliance
• Understanding of Housing Ombudsman standards and consumer regulations
• Experience in strategic planning, service development and organisational growth
• Budget management and financial performance experience
• Experience with property maintenance, asset management and compliance
