The Role

This role is either London based on a permanent contract (2 days in the office) or Kenya/Brazil based on a consultancy contract.

As Project Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of our campaigning work. You will provide project management support across teams, strengthen systems and processes, and help us deliver impact. You will keep projects on track, support collaboration, and ensure accountability to our donors through regular reporting.

Your Role in Growing Our Forest Story

As Evidence Officer, you’ll support the development and delivery of our research and evidence programme, with a focus on social impact.

Specifically, you’ll support the development of  approaches for tracking long-term outcomes, including social metrics, that demonstrate how we contribute to nature, communities and enterprise.

Join a nature restoration charity, whose mission is to restore beavers to regenerate our landscapes.

We are looking for a Policy Officer to influence national policies and strategies that enable the restoration of beavers, rivers and wetlands.

You will have proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders, including those who may hold differing or opposing views. For example government officials, NGOs, partners, and landowners.

With the ability to synthesise, interpret and apply scientific research to inform policy development and advocacy, you will have:

About the Role

As our Director of Finance and Resources, you’ll be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, leading on:
 

• Strategic financial planning and advice for future growth and sustainability of the Charity
• Operational Financial Management, Reporting and Performance 
• Financial Accounts and Annual Reports
• Financial Control, Governance, Audit, and Compliance
• IT, Facilities, and Information Governance
• Management of teams and contracts in the Finance and Resources Directorate

You’ll work closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees to support our strategic vision and ensure sound financial stewardship to deliver support for survivors now and into the future.  The position is offered on a flexible, hybrid and part time basis. 
 

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:
 

• Professionally qualified (or equivalent) in finance management and accountancy
• Experienced and deeply knowledgeable in senior financial leadership and strategy development in the voluntary sector/an equivalent size charity 
• A skilled and experienced leader and manager of people, contracts and major service change projects
• Collaborative, analytical, and proactive in problem-solving
• Committed to feminist principles and to equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Ideally also skilled in overseeing IT, building and premises management and information governance, with training and support available where required. 

As well as experienced Directors, this role would also suit an exceptional Head of Finance looking to step up into their first Director role.

Responsibilities: 

The Branch Director is responsible for leading and managing the Branch’s activities and for reporting these to the Branch Chairman and Executive Committee.This includes: 

1. Policy and Strategy 

1.1 Contributing to and implementing our position statements and strategy, as agreed by the Branch Executive Committee, in order to respond effectively to Government policies, legislation and development issues affecting Oxfordshire’s countryside.

We are currently recruiting for a Finance and Business Assistant

MAIN DUTIES: 

1. Monitoring and processing bank, petty cash and credit card transactions

onto the accounting software (Quickbooks).

2. Management of bank and petty cash and credit card reconciliations.

3. Responsibility for the purchase ledger function, ensuring all expenditure

is correctly recorded onto the accounting software, supplier queries are

adequately dealt with, purchase orders raised where relevant and

payments processed promptly. 

4. Responsibility for the sales ledger function, ensuring income is correctly

recorded onto the accounting software, sales invoices raised, sent, with

reminders where necessary and donor income records are updated and

maintained.

5. Updating of database OASIS system, reporting and assistance with

controlling of refuge income (rent) and debtors (housing benefit charge).

6. Assist with recording, processing and reporting of client recharges,

including liaising with our partners for timely payments and

reimbursements. 

7. Support coordination of cash banking and petty cash processing for all

sites.

8. Obtain relevant authorisation for financial transactions.

9. Monitor shared and personal finance inboxes daily, responding to queries

in a timely fashion.

10. Assist with the provision of information and preparation of reports for

internal and external clients.

11. Support with implementation of new finance operational and

administrative systems.

12. General filing and administrative tasks.

13. Such other tasks that may be required from time to time as is necessary

to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the finance function

and the organisation.

GENERAL: 

1. Identify own training and development needs and participate in all

training courses relevant to the Changing Pathway’s commitment to

providing high quality services.

Changing Pathways, including financial regulations, participating in

their development and amendment where required.
