About the Role

This is an exciting and varied opportunity to join Arthritis Action at a pivotal time as we are in the process of developing our 2027-2030 strategy. As our Engagement and Events Co-ordinator (Devon and Cornwall), you’ll play a key role in expanding our reach and impact across the region, ensuring more people have access to our resources and delivering our programme of online events.

You'll engage with a wide range of communities and professionals and support the delivery of online groups and outreach projects. From working with underrepresented communities to helping us connect with more people living with arthritis to support them to self-manage their condition.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach & Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with local organisations, healthcare professionals, and community leaders.
• Organise and deliver community presentations and outreach activities to promote Arthritis Action's services and resources.
• Actively support the delivery of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy by engaging with diverse and underrepresented groups across the region, including rurally isolated and low-income communities.
• Consolidate findings from the community outreach work into a report by the end of the fixed term contract.

Networking & Relationship Building

• Identify and pursue new networking opportunities with community, healthcare, and voluntary sector partners.
• Represent Arthritis Action at regional events.
• Support collaboration across projects and teams to maximise impact.
• Identify opportunities to work with local volunteers to help raise awareness of Arthritis Action.

Events

• Help promote attendance at our online groups and events to those living in Devon and Cornwall.
• Support the delivery of our programme of online Groups and Events.
• Assist in gathering feedback to help evaluate this service.

General Duties

• Maintain up-to-date records, including inputting data into the organisation’s database.
• Attend and contribute to the internal Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group.

Location & Travel

This is a home-based role located within the Devon or Cornwall region. The post requires frequent travel throughout the region, and candidates must have access to their own vehicle. All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

As Helpline Care Navigator (HCN), you will act as the first point of contact for individuals, families and health professionals across the North and North East region.

You will deliver compassionate, person-centred support and clear, practical information via telephone and email, ensuring people affected by PSP & CBD feel heard, informed and supported at every stage of their journey. Hours of Work & Annual Leave

The main office is in Milton Keynes, and we have a hybrid working policy with most staff spending one day a week in the office and the remainder working from home. There is flexibility in the arrangements that need to be agreed upon with the line manager.

Key Responsibilities

• To be ‘first point of call’ for people with PSP & CBD and their families living in North and Northeast region including, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear & Northumberland. Providing people with support and information over the phone and via email.
• To raise awareness of PSP & CBD across all health and social care disciplines in the region by engaging with HSCP’s and neurology clinics.
• To provide accurate information in all aspects of PSP & CBD in response to enquiries and signpost onto other organisations where appropriate.
• Ensure a maximum response to all helpline calls, emails and enquires.
• To keep clear and accurate records and statistics of enquires received and actions taken.
• To carry out a maximum number of proactive calls to people affected by PSP & CBD within the region as directed by the Helpline Manager.
• Develop and maintain the existing database of key health and social care professionals and regional services.
• Attend outreach events to build the profile of PSPA services amongst health and social care professionals.
• Work with the Director of Policy and Influencing to identify ways in which services and care can be improved for families affected by PSP & CBD in the region.
• To signpost to PSPA Support Groups and services.
• Liaise with external services to signpost to local support.
• Take an active part in the delivery and planning of information and support events, which may include the possibility of overnight stays and weekends.
• Liaise with the fundraising team to signpost to fundraising activities.
• Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator to maintain and build volunteering in the region.
• To attend and contribute constructively to team and other meetings as required.
• To ensure the implementation of policies, procedures and quality standards as defined by PSPA.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in delivering helpline and/or information and support services
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to listen actively understanding different points of view
• Ability to keep accurate records
• Willingness to undertake training and continuing personal development
• Experience of and sensitivity to communicating with audiences from a range of backgrounds
• Strong IT skills, with experience in MS Office products and customer relationship management software

The Role

About the role

Working closely with the Youth Programmes Manager, you will lead interdisciplinary teams to achieve performance, quality and compliance targets, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of high‑quality services to beneficiaries. Using strong project management practice, you will motivate and enable your team, driving contract compliance and supporting continuous improvement.

This role focuses exclusively on the Northern Futures programme supporting 18–24‑year‑olds who are economically inactive and living with physical or mental health conditions, helping them gain meaningful work experience and receive personalised 1‑to‑1 support from Employment Coaches as they move towards employment, education or training.

You will also play a key role in developing the programme by identifying, applying for and managing smaller community‑focused projects that enhance support for participants and strengthen the wider impact of Northern Futures.

You will work solely on the Northern Futures programme, funded by North East Combined Authority

In this role, you’ll lead and manage a regional operations team delivering person-centred services to adults and their families, helping them live the life they choose.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of Vision Rehabilitation Services across a geographical area, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with national standards. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll help shape and improve services, embed safe practices, and ensure that customer feedback drives continuous improvement.

This is a leadership role with direct line management responsibilities. You’ll develop and support a high-performing team, promote professional best practice, and ensure services are delivered efficiently and compassionately. You’ll work 35 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Some flexibility will be required to occasionally work outside these core hours. This role includes line management responsibility for teams across Scotland, so regular travel across the country will be required for meetings and 1‑2‑1s. Digital Change Manager

Role purpose 

Adoption UK is undertaking a major digital transformation, initially focused on CRM and Website developments. Our Digital Transformation Team will drive this change programme, working with colleagues and external digital partners; and subsequently deliver our on-going digital strategy implementation and development. 

You will support the Digital Transformation Lead to refine and implement Adoption UK’s digital strategy, to deliver our digital transformation project. Working with internal and external stakeholders the team will ensure that the project’s vision and scope meet the business and operational needs of the charity. An important part of your role will be to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and particularly with our Marketing and Communications team to integrate digital into all current and upcoming projects. 

We’re looking for someone who has experience of project working in a digital environment, particularly within website and CRM implementation. 

Background – our digital transformation 

Like many charities, we’ve historically developed our digital framework and footprint organically, with insufficient web and CRM integration and functionality, duplication and data silos; resulting in data management and website functionality that don’t meet all our users’ needs. We’re changing all that by: 

1. Investing in our customer-facing website and data management systems; connecting all our divisions and services, delivering integrated systems that provide a positive customer and stakeholder journey.
2. Developing the next generation of digitally accessible services 
3. Extending our in-house digital capability to support continuous delivery. 

Key accountabilities: 

• Support the Digital Transformation Lead to implement the charity’s digital strategy.

• Coordinate data and content activities, including migration between platforms, to deliver our website and CRM digital transformation programme.

• Utilise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and with current and future digital partners. Use these networks to: 

• embed digital first principles and best practice. 

• Train, coach and mentor colleagues to be effective users of our CRM and website. 

• Progress opportunities to increase our digital capability and integrate digital into our current and upcoming work. 

• Utilise the digital performance assessment framework to monitor compliance with digital and data best practice standards. 

• Assist in maintaining our data security standards compliance, participating in quality assurance activities.

Your role
