The Role

As Project Lead for United Learning, you have the opportunity to make a difference on a large scale.

In this role you will have two key responsibilities – to ensure the successful delivery of our group wide stakeholder surveys (to pupils, staff and parents) and to support with organisation-wide performance management. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with teams across United Learning’s central office and with schools.

You will ensure the successful delivery of our surveys programme including working with our partner, Edurio, to manage all aspects of technical set up and supporting schools to ensure they are prepared to deliver these surveys locally. You will shape and oversee the delivery of analysis based on survey results to ensure we are using this data to inform priority areas and improvements. You will look for ways to improve the set-up processes as well as how we use the data derived from the surveys.

Supporting with performance management you will monitor progress against our five-year strategy, annual plans and group wide KPIs, providing timely management information to our Executive Board and Trustees to ensure they are aware of key issues and have visibility of progress towards our strategic objectives.

As part of Strategy and Performance you will also have the opportunity to be involved in projects outside these main areas of responsibility.

You will be based in our London office, with occasional travel to other office and school locations. United Learning is happy to consider requests for flexible working, including hybrid home/office working.

About You

We are seeking someone with experience or an interest in strategic planning and performance management in complex organisations. You will have the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, be adaptable to change and work well under pressure. You will be able to present complex data and information clearly to others and in a way that aids decision-making.

You will have the ability to work through complex projects methodically, have an excellent eye for detail and be capable of managing competing demands. Formal project management experience would be an advantage.

This role would suit a candidate who takes satisfaction from improving processes year on year with the curiosity to try new ways of working to bring about improvements and efficiencies.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will carry out initial and ongoing assessments of the support needs of individual participants, before providing them with essential advocacy, mentoring, guidance and training interventions that meet their needs, plus engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme by providing ongoing resettlement support.  You will be expected to create an Action Plan, planning and designing appropriate activities, training programmes and interventions, establish and deliver high-quality, engaging one-to-one and group sessions, while also monitoring participants’ progress and providing timely monthly reports.

Role Purpose

You will work alongside the Strategic Projects Manager to provide flexible and high-quality project management and administrative support to the Senior Management Team, working across THET’s programmatic, operations, policy, and advocacy work.

Main Responsibilities

Community Fundraising Officer – Temporary Position from July 24 for 6 months (£24-25k)

We’re building our new fundraising team and this temporary role will play an important part in accelerating our ambitious plans to increase annual income during 2024/25.

You will become the fourth member of the Fundraising Team (there are 3 full time staff) and will help to support the fundraising team.

Sepsis is the immune system’s overreaction to an infection or injury. There are over 245,000 cases each year in the UK with approximately 48,000 deaths. UKST aims to reduce preventable deaths from this ‘killer’ condition. We achieve this by:

· Raising awareness

· Supporting those affected by sepsis

· Educating health professionals

· Lobbying political organisations for better sepsis and severe infection care

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver supporter journeys i.e. fundraising resources and stewardship communications to maximise supporter numbers, retention and engagement.

2. Use UKST’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) to accurately capture fundraiser information and key data contributing to the improved development and implementation of fundraising processes.

3. Communicate proactively and effectively with team members to pass on all relevant information, deliver excellent supporter care and to maximise fundraising opportunities. 

4. Provide excellent customer service members of the public, either via phone, mail and in person, help to develop Fundraising activity whilst also offering our Support Services where necessary.

5. Represent the charity as and when required in schools, local businesses, and community groups, including speaking at events if – not essential

6. Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and ensure compliance with the latest legislation and guidelines.

7. Assist in prioritising & managing enquiries about our Community Fundraising Programme via our dedicated inboxes.

8. Work collaboratively with the fundraising team and our Communications and Marketing Team to ensure maximum press and social media coverage is obtained for UKST’s community fundraising activities.

Day to day activities will include:

1. Managing an inbox and replying to enquiries in a timely and professional manner

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Birmingham & Solihull.  We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual to join us in delivering a comprehensive Stroke Recovery Service across the region.

Position: S11187 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based Birmingham and Solihull however, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings).

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week (flexible working available)

Salary: Circa £22,919 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

Contract: This is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2025. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2025.

The Role

Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Working with the local Health and Social services to receive referrals to support stroke survivors and their careers

· Providing personalised information, advice and support to address any needs identified

· Completing Needs Assessments with stroke survivors and supporting them to develop a stroke recovery plan

· Providing regular reviews to support people in establishing and achieving their own personal goals.

About You

You will:

· Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities

· Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.

· Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs

· Have the ability to use basic Microsoft system

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

About the position

Are you a highly-creative communicator with a sharp eye for visual impact and a way with words and design? Can you help us tell the story of our programmes, including School Plates, which makes school meals healthier and more sustainable, as well the upcoming Hospital Plates and our policy work? Responsibilities

• Complete a range of design tasks including printed materials such as leaflets and banners, as well as slides and digital assets for social media and newsletters,  ensuring all designed materials align with brand guidelines

• Write and distribute our various newsletters on Mailchimp and LinkedIn, while also building and engaging our supporter base

• Create relevant web content including regular news stories, recipes and blogs

• Manage and grow our social media channels with creative and engaging content focusing on School Plates

Right now, we are looking for an Employment Specialist to join our Surrey Employment service in the Talking Therapies team. We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment, we also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. But it’s only possible with people like you.

Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with partner organisations, local employers and Talking Therapy teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.

As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

The post holder will have the ability to travel independently across a large geographical area within Surrey.

This is a temporary 12-month contract requiring the post holder to work 30 hours a week.
