Join the leading UK charity dedicated to supporting babies born premature, to lead a new programme of work in Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive programme lead or project manager to lead engagement with healthcare teams and parents/carers across Wales to improve care for babies across 9 neonatal units, focussing especially on babies who face the biggest challenges.

Every year in Wales, around 2800 babies are born premature or sick and needing care on a neonatal unit – this isn’t what most parents expect for their baby. Many of these babies, and their families, will face inequalities which relate to their ethnicity, or their socio-economic disadvantage.

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for someone with the skills for engagement and project management to join team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to help lead an exciting new programme of work, to understand the needs of parents and healthcare teams across Wales, to increase reach and impact in the country.
 

• Location: Based in Wales and able to travel to 9 neonatal units across the country. We expect at least 1-2 visits to each unit in the fixed term of the contract

• Salary: £36,850 FTE

• Terms: 28 hours per week. Fixed term to end of March 2026

Role details

TBliss has recently been awarded a one-year grant from the Welsh Government to deliver a programme of work to support and drive neonatal service transformation across the country. In line with Bliss new 4-year strategy, this programme will work with neonatal healthcare professionals across the 9 neonatal units in Wales, support families whose babies need this vital care, and include research and policy work to improve care across the country.

The programme lead will coordinate the work of this programme, which will be managed by teams across Bliss, and lead on the engagement of parents and healthcare teams across Wales. During the 12 months of the funding agreement, to the end of September 2026, the programme will:
•Raise awareness of and access to Bliss’ information and support for parents
•Support all neonatal units to progress through Bliss’ Baby Charter standards
•Undertake service-user involvement work to inform the development of a new digital parent support service
•Undertake engagement work with health professionals to inform training and the development of resources to support the delivery of Family Integrated Care (FICare)
•Carry out a policy research project on neonatal inequalities.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

•Proven ability to build effective internal and external relationships with a range of stakeholders
•Strong experience of project management, able to juggle multiple priorities and coordinate with others to deliver activities on time and to budget
•Self-motivated and solutions-focused, able to work on own initiative to get things done
•Demonstrable understanding of how to involve service users in the development, delivery and evaluation of services
•Strong understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion, and of inequalities related to healthcare, and how to tackle these.

Knowledge of Welsh healthcare systems in general, and maternity/neonatal services in particular would be a distinct advantage

The Role 
 
We are currently looking for a Café Assistant to join our Café team at our Yorkshire Cancer Research Centre in Harrogate.

Reporting to the Café Manager, you will work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers, delivering excellent customer service, preparing food and drinks, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. You’ll also assist with stock control, financial procedures, and café administration. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Play an active part in running our Café in Harrogate, supporting the Café Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

• Adhere to and administer all processes and practices of the Café through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation. 

• Take customer orders and prepare and serve food and drinks to the agreed standards as demonstrated by the Café Management team. 

• Support the Café management team to ensure the Café is presented to the highest standards and kept clean and tidy, including washing up and clearing tables. 

• Provide the highest levels of customer service to our customers and visitors to the centre and support our volunteers to do the same.  

• Work alongside a team of well-trained volunteers in a positive and collaborative manner. 

• Ensure that all charity policies, cafe standards, and operating procedures are adhered to by all volunteers and are maintained and followed in a consistent manner. This includes Food Safety, Allergens, Health and Safety and Trading Standards. 

• Operate the EPOS system in accordance with charity policy to ensure accounting and stock control are correct. 

• Train and work alongside a team of volunteers to deliver an outstanding customer experience. 

• Handle complaints effectively and efficiently, escalating to Café management where they cannot be resolved at a local level. 

• Be trained as a First Aider and Fire Marshal. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent but not essential.

• To ideally to have a proven track record in hospitality or catering.

• To have previous experience in charity sector or commercial sector is desirable. 

• To have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.

The post holder will work in partnership with the local Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Gaia Service Manager to proactively develop and maintain links with health providers in the local area and build links with health professionals and support agencies.

Working pattern

This is a hybrid full-time role (typically 2 days on-site), 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday based in SW London with occasional travel to another office (around once a month).  The other office is about 20  minutes from Clapham or London Bridge.

Flexible working hours are available but please note that you would need to ensure you are on-site on time for any meetings. 

About you

My client requires someone who has the experience of supporting senior management on governance and organisational matters, ideally in a science-based working environment as you will be taking minutes from science meetings, so could prove challenging without that understanding.

You will need to be a confident minute taker and offer previous governance and committee support experience.

To work for this world-leading organisation, you will be to have good interpersonal skills and have good written communication to be able to draft accurate and succinct emails and papers.

What you do
Main purpose of post
This is a senior and strategic role in our fundraising team. You will be
responsible for leading the development and delivery of our Individual Giving
strategy, ensuring sustainable growth in income from individual donors. You
will oversee the retention and stewardship of existing supporters and

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development and Planning
 Lead the development and execution of a multi-year Individual Giving

Campaign Management

 Monitor donor behaviour and lifetime value to inform stewardship and
upgrade strategies.

Legacy and In Memory Giving
 Provide strategic oversight of legacy and in-memory income streams.
 Line manage and support the Legacy and In Memory Manager to deliver
agreed targets and KPIs.
 Support the development of a legacy marketing plan to grow our legacy
pipeline.
 Support development of relationships with legacy pledgers and inmemory
donors

Budgeting and Performance
 Manage income and expenditure budgets for Individual Giving.
 Track and analyse campaign performance against KPIs and ROI targets.
 Maximise all gift aid opportunities within the agreed audiences.
 Report regularly to the Head of Fundraising on performance,
opportunities, and risks.

Cross-Team Collaboration
 Work with Communications, Digital, and Data colleagues to ensure
campaigns are well-coordinated, data-driven, and creatively delivered.
 Champion best practice in data protection and ethical fundraising.
 Stay informed on sector trends, regulations, and innovations in individual
giving.
 Ensure that all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s
CRM (Raiser’s Edge)

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Without our care, these buildings might have disappeared entirely. Instead, they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.

Overall job purpose

Our Health and Safety Officer will help us embed, maintain, and develop high standards of Health and Safety, across CCT’s estate and its people. They will work closely with our small Health and Safety Team to create, implement, and establish our Health and Safety policies and procedures, in accordance with current legislation. They will advocate for, and set an example around, best practice in Health and Safety.

The Chief Data Officer is part of the RDS Leadership team, with responsibility for establishing and overseeing the range of programmes that source the portfolio of datasets available for use in research. As a Housing Advisor at GHH, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred housing support to veterans at risk of homelessness. You’ll provide advice, casework, and tenancy sustainment services, ensuring each client receives tailored support that meets their individual needs. From triaging new enquiries to managing a diverse caseload, you’ll be at the frontline of our mission to prevent homelessness and promote housing stability within the Armed Forces community.

You’ll work closely with local authorities, housing providers, and third-sector organisations to deliver joined-up support, particularly through the Council’s Housing Options approach. Your role will involve regular liaison with external stakeholders and you’ll represent GHH in forums that shape housing policy and practice. You’ll also contribute to the planning and delivery of housing-specific projects, helping to develop innovative solutions to complex housing challenges.

You will play a vital role in advocating for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, working to ensure their voices are heard and their rights upheld. This position requires a strong sense of social justice and a desire to see each case resolved positively. This is a great opportunity for any support worker to gain exceptional experience within the mental health field, based on the solid working relationship with (SCMHT) We have since implemented training directly from SCMHT to support staff with understanding Mental Health diagnosis and Managing Crisis with our customers in-house.
