Fairtrade Foundation are recruiting a Senior Partnership Development Manager to lead our exciting new growth work. The role will be tasked with winning significant new strategic partnerships as well as building strategies that help us innovate and bring in new types of partnership to help diversify our income.

You’ll need to be a proactive and tenacious individual with considerable new business experience and success in a challenging, target-based environment; bring creativity to think ‘outside the box’ and develop new income streams; and the ability to inspire potential partners to work with Fairtrade. If you have experience of working with businesses on responsible sourcing, that’s great, but it’s not essential.

The Role
As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will spearhead the expansion of our Corporate and Community Giving portfolio. You will be instrumental in managing income streams projected to raise £150,000 this year, with ambitions for future growth. Your role will also encompass being a prominent figure in the community, delivering fundraising talks, attending networking events and being an advocate for Bath Cats and Dogs Home.

You are a dynamic individual with a successful track record in corporate fundraising, capable of securing significant income through corporate and community events. Your skills include:

• Exceptional leadership and the ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Strong marketing abilities, both online and offline, to achieve financial and recruitment targets.

• Proficiency in IT and CRM databases, ideally with experience in Raisers Edge.

We are looking for a Head of Resources to join our team.

Emmaus Bristol is a local charity, working to help people out of homelessness. The work we do here changes lives.

This is a new role for Emmaus Bristol. Through our five-year-planning process we identified a new staffing
structure that will allow our charity to thrive and to grow. The Head of Resources is needed so that the core organisation runs smoothly, and policies, processes and systems allow the team to do their jobs efficiently and effectively. This will be crucial as we develop new streams of work, and help more people out of homelessness or into work.

The Head of Resources therefore, will have a key role to play in making Emmaus Bristol an effective charity.

This is a senior leadership role, but as we are a small charity, all roles are somewhat hands-on. You’ll need to be as confident discussing our reserves policy with trustees, as you would be resolving a cash discrepancy with a retail team member, and just as good at strategy as you are at detail.

The Autism Centre of Excellence exists to improve access to high quality support and remove barriers and stigma for autistic people, but to do this we need to grow our funding.

We aim to raise £5 million over the next five years to increase our reach, impact and activities, whilst creating a sustainable and predictable income stream for the charity. To do this we need to systematically build a pipeline of donors and supporters, to build profile and new relationships. In the short term we need someone who can lead the development of a series of applications to trusts, foundations and other sources of funding to support our priority workstreams.

Main duties and Responsibilities

• Primary focus will be on managing and soliciting income from your own portfolio of high value trusts, foundations and statutory funders, securing gifts of between £10,000 - £1,000,000 to successfully achieve the charity’s ambitious fundraising targets.
• Secondary focus will be on the planning and delivery of first-class Special Events and Major Donor fundraising.
• Create a robust prospect pipeline of effectively researched and qualified funders, ensuring a continued flow of prospects through the pipeline, taking a sales approach to lead generation and the assessment of the warmth and value donors.
• Deliver effective research of prospective and existing donors, which enables us to raise significant income through both new and existing relationships; utilising our networks effectively.
• Implement effective cultivation and stewardship journeys that provides a high-quality supporter experience to your portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Deliver first-class relationship management to ensure excellent ongoing relationships with donors in both a written and face-to-face capacity.
• Deliver exceptional writing skills through proposal and bid writing and day-to-day communication with donors and colleagues.
• Fully understand the charity’s projects and activities to both ascertain their suitability as funding propositions and communicate them in a compelling manner to funders.
• Work closely with operational colleagues to develop compelling and thorough cases for support to inform our research and fundraising strategies.

Partnerships

• Support with creating proposals and pitches to secure Brand, Corporate and Commercial Partnerships, with a strong focus on shared purpose and mutual benefit, to create successful long term strategic partnerships.
• Support with relationship management of current partners of Rays of Sunshine, ensuring they have materials to aid their fundraising.
• To manage the input of corporate partnership data on the CRM system (currently Donorfy).

• Supporting the Corporate Volunteer Researcher to undertake the necessary research to support our pipeline of approaches.

Philanthropy

• Creating supporter updates and reports to demonstrate the impact of funding received from our Patrons and Major Donors, providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.
• Provide support with the event planning of major donor events, and attend in person to provide support of events on the day. 

Trusts and Foundations

•  Support with research and the successful completion applications to secure donations from a pipeline of identified Trusts and Foundations

Stewardship

•  Identifying new opportunities to create wow moments for donors and provide excellent stewardship of all major donors and partnerships.

General

• General administrative duties, including record meeting notes and actions, following up with partners, sending out of promotional materials, monitoring and responding to email enquiries, and taking telephones calls.
• Any other duties to support the success of the fundraising team.

This role is key to providing a welcoming and hospitable environment for a regularly changing cohort of guests and school groups who arrive every week for up to 40 weeks per year. It is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, providing a uniquely creative environment in a national charity praised for its outstanding artistic programme. This is a three-day per week role.

The Head of Programmes, forming part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and reporting directly to the CEO, is a critical role holding overall responsibility and management of Youth Realities’ programme delivery and development. 

Youth Realities currently runs four core programmes, underpinning our three outlined priority pillars: prevention, intervention and healing.

• Deepin Relationships - healthy relationships education in communities and schools 
• Young Women's IDVA Support - specialist, long term support for young survivors of abuse and violence in their close relationships 
• Deepin Dance - a weekly dance space for young women aged 16-25 who have survived relationship violence 
• Wellbeing Activities - regular community-based wellbeing workshops, trips and creative days for young people aged 11-25

The charity currently engages over 100 young people each year in intervention and healing activities, with an additional target of 1500 young people per year to be engaged in the Deepin Relationships programme through funding awarded from May 2024 - May 2026. 

The primary role of the Head of Programmes is to oversee the delivery, development and evaluation of all programmes, which will include direct line management of all delivery staff (currently seven).

Youth Realities is currently going through an exciting transitional period, as the current Founder and CEO is leaving the charity in August 2024 and a new CEO will be joining our excellent team. With both SLT members being new to the charity, this is a brilliant opportunity to bring fresh perspectives, energy and passion to Youth Realities, taking guidance from the knowledge and experience of the serving staff team. 

It will be critical that the first few months of this role are spent learning, exploring, listening to and working closely with staff and young people supported. Building strong staff relationships is crucial to the success of this role, to be able to truly understand how the charity operates as a small, grass-roots community provision.

The vacancy

We are recruiting a Senior Policy and Delivery Manager who will support the development of a network of policymakers and officials across the government and arm’s length bodies.

About the role

As a Senior Policy and Delivery Manager you will:

• Work with colleagues across the organisation to develop policy positions, completing rapid analyses on policy developments and making recommendations to inform the Observatory’s strategy.
• Provide secretariat support to the RHO Stakeholder Engagement Group and provide leadership on the development of a new community participation model for the Observatory.
• Present the findings of research and other outputs to large and varied audiences, both digitally and in person, and represent the Observatory at conferences, working groups, and in other public forums.
• Write impactful policy briefings, blogs, and other outputs drawing attention to major policy initiatives, highlighting the potential impact of those changes for patients and the public.

About you

You will have a track record of delivering research or policy-related work that has led to change and have knowledge of the UK political environment contemporary health policy, including the workings of both DHSC and NHS England.

Your other skills and experiences will include:

• experience of working on inequalities policy or related field.
• well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• ability to write accessible and compelling policy outputs to a high standard.

Demonstrable communication skills and the ability to build strong personal relationships

• To take a leadership role in supporting the Stothard Supported Living mission.

• In discussion with the Project Manager, take direct responsibility for managing and delivering identified functions. Progressively increase the range of experience in supporting and leading staff, and liaising with external agencies.

• Liaising with the Finance Administrator to deliver administrative/financial support related to the Deputy role as it develops further.

• Provide service support and a secure and positive home for tenants whilst ensuring highest quality standards.

• Assist the Project Manager in line with direction from the Trustee Management Committee.

• Take an active role with the Project Manager in planning future developments.

• Deputise for the Project Manager where required.  Step up as Project Manager for an enhanced salary if the current Project Manager is unavailable for a significant period of time. There will need to be discussion about extending the part time role in these circumstances.
