Job description

Role Summary:

PETA’s campaigns team is at the core of the organisation – it’s a busy group of advocates pushing for an end to animal suffering with eye-catching, bold campaigns calling on the government, companies, and the public to take action for animals. Our priorities include ending the use of animals for experimentation, food, fashion, and entertainment. As our campaigns intern, you’ll be right in the thick of it – helping to plan and deliver creative actions, demonstrations, and other initiatives that get people talking and make a difference to animals. If you share PETA’s values and are eager to get stuck in, we can’t wait to hear from you. We’re looking for someone who can commit to four days a week (days to be agreed in advance) for a period of six months.

Position Objective:

To support and assist the campaigns team with actions and projects that further PETA’s mission

Term of Employment:

Part-time (four days a week)

Location:

  • Conduct research into campaign targets, monitor news and emerging issues, and identify opportunities for PETA to take action
  • Travel when necessary to attend demonstrations, tabling, and other campaign events
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
