Position Objective:

To plan and deliver campaigns, events, media initiatives, and special projects that raise awareness of PETA’s work and advance its mission.

Location:

Hybrid in London

Employment:

12-month fixed-term contract, full-time (with hope to extend)

Salary range:

£31,000 - £34,000

Reports to:

Vice President of Vegan Projects

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify fresh, compelling opportunities for PETA to join cultural conversations and engage targeted audiences
• Develop and deliver rapid-response campaigns that use news, trends, and cultural moments to amplify PETA’s message
• Coordinate demonstrations and media events, evaluate efficacy, and use findings to inform future strategy
• Represent PETA at public engagements, debates, and in the media
• Coordinate projects, including research, content development, and correspondence
• Travel as required for demonstrations, events, and actions
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in activism, campaigning, or a related field
• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Strong project management, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and public-speaking skills
• Ability to advocate PETA’s positions professionally to diverse audiences
• Creative, proactive, and able to take initiative
• Highly organised, dependable, and attentive to detail
• Flexible and able to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
• Willingness to participate in bold campaigns, work evenings and weekends, and travel as required
• Commitment to PETA’s objectives
• Adherence to a vegan lifestyle strongly preferred
• Valid UK driving license preferred
