We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operations manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen the foundations of our organisation, as well as help us expand our growing network of partner organisations across the UK.
As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO to help build the operational structure of Big Green Heart, and support its day-to-day operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will develop and implement operational policies, procedures and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

You will monitor and evaluate the operational performance of the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

You will manage the operational activity of our Big Green Heart experience days, supporting the CEO in the delivery of them.

You will work closely with our partner organisations who are using the Big Green Heart model, ensuring that the high standards and values of our teaching are maintained.

You will also work with the Big Green Heart team to onboard new partner organisations. You will work with them to understand their needs and secure buy-in.

You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development.

You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

You will support staff members, trustees and volunteers, providing guidance and training in the operations of the charity as needed.

NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS

At least two years experience in operations management, preferably within the charity sector.

We are looking for a socially conscious Investment Manager to join one of the UK's leading Social Impact Investors.
Big Issue Invest is part of the Big Issue Group which brings together media, investment and service initiatives under the one aim of creating solutions through enterprise, to unlock social and economic opportunity for the 14.5m people in the UK living in relative poverty to earn, learn and thrive.
The role will support the lending activities of Big Issue Invest and have exposure to the full investment lifecycle including sourcing and developing new investment opportunities; managing the current portfolio of investments; and admin and project work to support the team’s development.
You will have the opportunity to work with experienced social investors across a range of sectors, asset classes and company stages and have development opportunities based around on the job and formal training as well as coaching.
You will have previous experience of working in the investment, social investment and/or the social sector. CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit organisations across the UK who specialise in adoption services. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.
The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.
The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. You’ll have overall responsibility for the Carer’s hub, where carers can drop in for advice and support, manage a small caseload, and support the delivery of the service’s range of activities as required, including respite activities, online groups, face-to-face sessions.
We are looking for a great motivator with excellent communication and organisational skills. Applicants should have relevant team or project management experience in social care, health, education or the voluntary and community sector. You will have experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or children and operational knowledge of multi-agency working. About you
As our Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager-Africa, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding relationships with Africa-based donors, including corporates, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. In this role, day -to- day, you will:

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the implementation of the Unloc London Strategy

Working in partnership with the Operations Manager to ensure the delivery of the Unloc London strategy. This includes;

Building new relationships with local schools and colleges.

Facilitating a free to access enterprise event for local schools in the borough of Westminster.

Delivery of workshops and presentations, attendance at events to to promote Unloc’s programmes and initiatives to schools, colleges and community groups.

Working in partnership and building new stakeholder relationships

Liaise and act as a primary point of contact for current key stakeholders to promote Unloc’s work. This will include Local Authorities, Education Trusts, Businesses and Community Interest Groups.

Implement engagement strategies to build new relationships with key stakeholders through needs assessments and stakeholder surveys to gather insights into the preferences, challenges and priorities.

Represent Unloc in external meetings, conferences and networking opportunities.
Organise, plan and facilitate entrepreneurial skills and career pathway projects and programmes

Organise, plan and facilitate bespoke enterprise and career pathways events (with support from the Operations Manager) for individual businesses, grant giving bodies, schools & colleges. This generally involves designing agendas, booking speakers, managing event resources, leading individual sessions, briefing event support staff, liaising with key points of contact and managing attendance from multiple schools, colleges and partners.

Managing staff

Emmaus Greenwich is a unique charity that offers a home, work and individual support to people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion. We don’t just give people a bed for the night; we offer a home, meaningful work and a sense of belonging.
At the heart of Emmaus Greenwich is our companions. Companion is the name given to those who live in an Emmaus community and contributes to the social enterprise, where they support themselves and one another. Job Summary
The Haringey Community Collaborative Manager is responsible for leading the development of the VCS Capacity Building strategy and the effective co-ordination of the Community Collaborative team which includes a Communications and Engagement Officer, a Workplace Development Manager, and a Capacity Building Manager.
We envisage the Haringey Community Collaborative Manager performing at either a primarily operational level or, for a more experienced candidate, at both operational and strategic levels.
