Interim Housing Advisor

Location: Central London (hybrid after induction) 

Contract: Temporary, 3 months 

Hours: 35 per week 

Rate: £17.84 per hour + £2.15 holiday pay 

Start: ASAP 

Prospectus is pleased to be supporting a long-established organisation that provides safe, suitable housing for retired professionals across the UK. The organisation manages a national portfolio of homes and is committed to delivering compassionate, customer-focused support to its residents. 

We are assisting them in the search for an Interim Housing Advisor to deliver high-quality housing services and ensure residents receive excellent support, safeguarding, and tenancy management. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Contacting residents to update next-of-kin details, health or vulnerability information, and repair needs. 
• Providing sensitive and effective customer service to elderly residents. 
• Managing tenancy processes including sustainment, queries, and end-of-tenancy tasks. 
• Recording and updating resident information accurately in Homemaster. 
• Monitoring rent accounts, proactively addressing arrears, and supporting direct debit setup. 
• Liaising with surveyors on repairs, property inspections, and voids. 
• Ensuring all actions comply with safeguarding, GDPR, and RMHS policies. 

About You 

You will bring strong housing sector experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. 

You will have: 

• Experience in housing roles such as Housing Officer or Housing Advisor.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage sensitively with older residents. 
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and confidence managing your workload independently. 
• Good IT capability, including MS365 and database systems. 
• Experience handling tenancy management, casework, or customer-facing housing queries. 
• Understanding of data protection and safeguarding practices. 
• (Desirable) Experience with Homemaster, Allpay, or housing legislation knowledge.
