As the Business Development Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for developing a business development strategy and maintaining the business development pipeline, as well as producing high quality proposal, tender and pitch documents to grow the profitability of the business and diversify the client base. You will work with the senior leadership team and the Marketing Manager to identify new leads and effectively manage a number of inbound projects and enquiries. As the organisation works with all types of social movements and community groups, you’ll be an adaptable, versatile business development professional with significant interest in helping powerful institutions to become more responsive and accountable to wider society.

You will need previous experience of proposal writing and you will have good analytic skills and strategic awareness and be able to analyse business development related insights and data to make recommendations.

Prospectus are delighted to be helping London’s Air Ambulance, the charity that provides advanced trauma care across the capital in their search for a Direct Marketing Officer. They operate a helicopter and rapid response vehicle service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, carrying out critical care procedures at the scene. A global leader of rapid response and critical care, they bring the hospital to the roadside to ensure that seriously injured people receive urgent treatment immediately.
The Direct Marketing Officer will support the development, management, and optimisation of London’s Air Ambulance Lottery and Regular Giving programs which has phenomenal success via face-to-face fundraising. An exciting opportunity which will see the successful candidate working closely with the Operations Team, paramedics, doctors, and pilots to develop and deliver training to face-to-face fundraisers that brings the work of London’s Air Ambulance to life. The post holder will also work closely with external agency partners, as well as internal stakeholders and various teams within the charity.
The successful candidate will thrive on collaborative work, excel in presenting compelling narratives which inspire other fundraisers to do the same. An analytical mindset is essential, along with the ability to grasp facts and data to manage projects effectively. This role is the vital link between key internal charity stakeholders and external fundraisers, trainers, and account managers and therefore a thorough understanding of the sector and or campaign management via a similar role within the charity or private sector will be key.

A global leader of rapid response and critical care, they bring the hospital to the roadside to ensure that seriously injured people receive urgent treatment immediately.
The Major Donor team is playing a pivotal role in the raising of funds for an ambitious ‘Up Against Time Appeal’ which will replace the charity’s two helicopters. Having already raised £9.9 million of the £15million required they are now looking at opportunities presented by the new 15-year organisational strategy. The Senior Major Donor Manager (maternity cover) will lead on and monitor the strategy during this time, develop the Major Donor team, steward key relationships, respond to fundraising opportunities that arise and help develop internal processes to support programme delivery.
The successful candidate will be an experienced major donor fundraiser, looking to develop their leadership skills. You will need to be confident, ambitious, and results-focussed, working closely with a dynamic team to make the most out of every opportunity offered. You will possess outstanding oral and written communication and influencing skills, and will have the presence, gravitas, and sensitivity to operate effectively at all levels.

Charity Nest is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that helps small charities work with big brands. The UK is experiencing a significant decline in the small charity sector, with more small charities closing each year than opening. This is concerning because 78% of small charities work on a local level, compared to only 5% of super-major charities. Charity Nest specialises in helping local charities work with big brands, ensuring the charities generate true social impact and the brands deliver on their CSR objectives.
As a Fundraiser, you will be based onsite at various venues and build relationships with the public to raise vital funds through bucket collections to support your assigned charity. You will be supported with full training and equipment for the role and be raising funds through cash and card donations whilst also raising awareness for your assigned charity. With venues across the North West, there are various locations where this role can be based including, Manchester, Preston, Liverpool, Leeds and others.
To be successful as a Fundraiser, you will have strong relationship building skills and be motivated to raise funds for meaningful causes. Ideally this person will have either some sales experience or fundraising experience. This could be from personal fundraisers such as gaining sponsorship for a challenge event, bake sales, or any other type of group or self-led fundraiser. This role will need to be available to work some Saturdays and there is daily travel of 30-90 minutes.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will be based in the North West region, dependent on your location. There is a base pay rate of £70 per day, as well as 35% commission on any funds you have raised each day.

The post holder will build and oversee a number of strategic income-generating partnerships for BEO and lead on the programmes of work across BEO’s policy priorities. This a rare and exciting opportunity to join Hubbub’s leadership team. Our new Director of Finance will take a proactive role in ensuring the continued financial strength of the organisation, following a period of significant growth.
You’ll be responsible for leading the finance team and providing expert financial and business advice to the team and boards. You’ll be the one making sure that financial implications are fully considered in all strategic decision-making.
You’ll always be seeking to improve the usefulness of the information you provide and the impact of your insights. Taking pride in the accuracy and effectiveness of the systems you maintain to accurately measure financial performance and minimise risk will be critical to the success of this role.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, strategic, and responsive to a fast-paced environment, you will enjoy working organisation-wide and having input to high level decisions, a great collaborator with a sense of purpose and fun.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant and will also bring:
- Outstanding track record of leading highly effective teams – at Director or Head of level with a passion for leading and enabling teams to thrive and develop.
- Significant experience of strategic financial planning and resource management.
- Knowledge of charity specific finance, including the charities SORP and managing restricted and unrestricted funds.

Our client, a prestigious London University, is currently seeking a dynamic and innovative Alumni Communications Officer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis (35 hours per week). This role presents a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for engaging communities and driving impactful communications strategies. The position offers a hybrid working model, with 2 days per week based on-site in Central London and the remainder remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an effective alumni communications strategy to foster engagement among the university’s community of over 80,000 alumni and supporters.
- Manage the delivery of monthly e-newsletters to a diverse alumni audience exceeding 60,000 individuals.
- Curate a cohesive digital user journey to enhance alumni interaction and participation.
- Oversee the management of the Campaign microsite to ensure alignment with organisational goals and branding standards.
- Generate compelling stories and content, employing innovative strategies to effectively communicate with the audience.
- Utilise data analysis, segmentation, and personalization techniques to optimize engagement and drive desired actions among alumni.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar communications role within the higher education or the wider not for profit sector is preferred.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in digital and print design to create visually appealing content.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring campaign data and adapting strategies to enhance results.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, experience with online publishing software such as Photoshop, Canva or InDesign, would be advantageous.
