• As part of our flexible working policy, you will be free to work remotely for the majority of your time if you prefer. However, you will need to be able to be in London when required for events and in person meetings with partners and trustees, team planning days and other duties as part of our senior management team. This will be approximately two or three days per month on average and you will need to cover the cost of your travel.

The role

This key leadership role is at the core of a very successful and ambitious directorate, one that has seen some wonderful achievements across all income streams. The Director of Development will continue our impressive growth trajectory and inspire a team of talented and ambitious fundraisers to success. You will work closely with the CEO and fellow members of the Senior Leadership Team, as well as being a key contact for delivery colleagues and programme leads.

About you

You will be an experienced and compelling leader, someone who can demonstrate a successful track record building and delivering fundraising strategies. You will need to show success in achieving income growth, and be experienced across several income streams, including managing strategic partnerships from the corporate world, working strategically with national bodies (e.g. Arts Council) and a deep understanding of fundraising campaigns. You will have exceptional communication skills across all audiences, including working at board level, and have an excellent understanding of financial planning and reporting. You will be a natural leader, who can engage, motivate and inspire the development department, and play a key part in building a strong and inclusive organisational culture, as part of our ED&I commitments.

Day One, the charity that helps people rebuild their lives after catastrophic injury, is seeking an inspiring leader to create a strong, sustainable plan for their fundraising and communications team and build on solid fundraising foundations to grow income.

Day One is a young, ambitious national charity dedicated to supporting people impacted by catastrophic injury. They currently deliver dedicated services in six regions and have a presence in seven NHS Major Trauma Centres. They also provide a national support service to people anywhere in the UK. Day One works extremely closely with NHS clinical services, delivering support at the bedside in the immediate aftermath of a major trauma, but also has a strong focus on the trauma networks and wider community where people are often alone and isolated trying to recover from their injuries.

Day One was registered as a charity in May 2021 and since that time has embarked on an incredible journey of development and expansion. With a growing, loyal and valued community of supporters and a powerful sphere of influence, the charity wants to do much more, aiming to have a presence across all NHS Major Trauma Centres and networks across the UK.

Key to that ambition will be a new Fundraising and Communications Director. This is a great role for an experienced senior fundraising leader to shape the charity’s future direction, building on an extremely successful start and a commitment from the Board and leadership team to invest in the right candidate who can deliver a compelling vision for fundraising and communications.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the role will provide leadership and guidance on fundraising and communications as well as sitting on the Senior Leadership Team. The Associate Director of Local Fundraising is a senior role within the Income, Innovation and Engagement directorate; a highly ambitious and professional team which is working to grow income and strengthen the organisation’s voice across the UK as the leading end of life care charity in the UK. Marie Curie has ambitious financial growth targets and needs to drive net contribution, engagement and awareness if they are to achieve their fundraising ambitions and subsequently their service growth goals.

The primary focus of the role is to maximise the net contribution from local fundraising but also to  drive community awareness and engagement with Marie Curie.  This is a key role for Marie Curie, responsible for managing a team of over 100 people and having responsibility for over £20 million Income, the recruitment of legacy prospects, the delivery of fundraising events and the strategic approach of supporter facing volunteers.

We are seeking a new CEO for FearFree - a dynamic and compassionate leader with a broad skill set to guide and support the charity through its next phase of growth and development.

FearFree is a South West-based charity dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and stalking. With over 30 years of experience, we provide a comprehensive range of services including personalised support for victims, voluntary programmes for perpetrators, and specialist support for children and young people affected by abuse. Our holistic approach aims to offer not just short-term relief but lasting change and hope for the future.

Our services are designed to meet the diverse needs of those affected, providing tailored support that empowers individuals to rebuild their lives and move beyond trauma. We are at a critical juncture, having recently launched an ambitious four-year strategy to expand our reach and strengthen our impact. The new CEO will play a crucial role in implementing this strategy, leading a committed team, and ensuring that our services continue to meet the highest standards of excellence while navigating the challenges of a changing funding landscape.

Pay: £90,000
Location: Trowbridge / hybrid (average 2 days per week on-site)

We’re really excited to be working with the Bletchley Park Trust on their Senior Corporate Engagement Manager role. The Bletchley Park Trust is responsible for maintaining the heritage attraction at Bletchley Park, educating guests of the remarkable historic significance of the site. This role, which sits within their well-established Development Team, will act as the first point of contact for companies looking to engage with Bletchley Park, as well as working with the Director of Development to proactively identify and cultivate relationships with new companies.
The Senior Corporate Engagement Manager will build strong, long-term relationships with companies and their key internal stakeholders whilst maximising income for the Bletchley Park Trust.

To be successful in the role of Senior Corporate Engagement Manager, you will need:

• Proven experience of relationship management and/or partnership development, ideally in a charity setting.
• Experience of planning, developing and delivering events and other benefits to a corporate audience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ideally with a focus on writing & pitching briefs or proposals to companies.

 
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000
Contract: 12 Months fixed term contract, full time (Maternity Cover)
Location: Hybrid – Bletchley Park
