The Trusts and Foundations Manager will further develop and review their current trusts and foundations strategy, with a focus on growing and renewing five- and six-figure income from Trusts, Foundations and grant making bodies. The organisation Working with a very well-established charitable foundation, the organisation comprises of three independent schools and two state-funded academies.
They are the holding company which owns the school land and buildings and manages the endowments valued at c.£50m. The Foundation Office delivers a "head office" type finance function for the Group and a range of other services to the schools, including governance and HR.
Your role The Group Finance Manager will work within a small team and an extended team of around 15-20 finance staff in the schools. The post reports to the Group Finance Director and the finance function are assisted by a part-time Finance Officer. The core part of the role is the production of the
annual report. You will also manage the group cash treasury system, managing 20+ bank accounts.
You will manage significant investments and investment property. You will also maintain an accurate cash flow forecast for the group. The annual audit is also a major part of the work, and you will be expected to play a key part in the management of the audit and preparation of the financial information for both the Foundation, and its trading subsidiaries and charitable trusts. There are significant capital projects in the pipeline which will also require support.
What you will need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIPFA)
Experience and Skills:
- Recent experience of group consolidation and reconciliation of intercompany balances
- Knowledge of Restricted, Designated and Unrestricted funds
- Some knowledge of education or charity sector trends.

Key Responsibilities:
· Implement and own our celebrity strategy and individual stewardship plans to support this, resulting in highly committed and engaged high profile supporters.
· Lead on outreach and negotiation with new, potential supporters for charity activities.
· Manage and prioritise requests for VIP support from across the charity ensuring that they are aligned with our strategic aims.
· Be the first point of contact for celebrities looking for support, signposting them within the charity or acting as intermediary for confidential requests.
· Take responsibility for the management and development of the Celebrity Officer.
· Work with colleagues across the charity to maximise our celebrity supporters across all communications channels, highlighting new opportunities as they arise.
· Make sure that our celebrity supporters are well briefed and up to date with key messages.
· Ensure that our celebrity activity is tracked, reported and evaluated to show the value they bring to the charity.
Person Specification:
· Extensive experience of working strategically with celebrities and their management teams.
· Creative and proactive approach to celebrity engagement and ongoing stewardship.
· Negotiation and persuasion skills to ensure that high profile supporters understand why we’re the Parkinson’s charity to support.
· The ability to build and maintain relationships with discretion and sensitivity.
· Understanding and awareness of the GDPR when handling personal data and information.
· Working understanding of PR and social media to amplify opportunities.
· Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills.
· Ability to prioritise your workload and support your team members to do the same in line with organisational priorities.
· Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools (and what is needed from the role) to work collaboratively and productively.

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a leading homelessness charity to recruit a Corporate Partnerships Manager. This role will be on a 3-year FTC to lead on a multi-year strategic partnership worth c.£3M per year, the largest in the Charity’s portfolio.
What’s on offer:
- Salary - £44,500-£47,000 (London) or £40,500-£43,000 (outside London)

As the lead on a truly strategic and project-driven partnership, this role will operate at the heart of the charity and its partner organisation and lead on the successful delivery in all aspects of the partnership. Key duties include:
- Lead on the successful delivery of this partnership in line with the agreed objectives by providing first class account management and strategic planning.
- Produce annual plans, budgets and KPIs to effectively manage the partnership, including leading on all reporting and budgeting for the partnership.
- Create and maintain effective communication channels and processes that keep everyone informed, involved and engaged in the partnership both internally and externally;
- Develop effective working relationships with a range of cross functional teams and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Work from the partner office (1 hour by train from London) twice a month.
We’re looking for the following skills and experience for this role:
- Experience managing complex, high-value corporate partnerships, ideally with a marketing or consumer-facing element.
- Experience managing or supporting on £1M+ partnerships is highly beneficial.
- Outstanding project, stakeholder and budget management skills.
- Line management experience is a plus.
