Harris Hill is seeking an Interim Corporate Fundraiser to help identify, research, and engage new corporate prospects.

The role is 3 months, 3-5dpw and are offering up to £200 per day. This can be worked as a freelancer billing directly OUTSIDE IR35 or PAYE through the agency. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Research and identify a pipeline of qualified prospective corporate donors who are headquartered in the UK/Europe and have the capacity and propensity to give at the six-figure level.  

Engage and cultivate new high value corporate/corporate foundation donors.

Create compelling propositions which reflect the organisations operational needs and aligns with donor interests.

Work with the Director of Fundraising to plan cultivation events across 2024.

Specific activities:

Identify a long list of UK/Europe headquartered corporate/corporate foundation prospects, with the propensity and capacity to support at the £100K+ level. Categorising those who can fund an specific project (£300k) and those who may be smaller in scale.

Shortlist and screen prospects to create a ‘priority pipeline’ of Corporate prospects whose interests align with organisational mission, and have the capacity to fund a specific project (£300k).

Identify contact details for all priority prospects, always aligning with GDPR.  

Support the Director of Fundraising with targeted outreach and making direct approaches, with the aim to secure an exploratory meeting.

Securing new meetings with 20+ new prospects.

As required, writing compelling proposals relevant to donor interests.

High level proposal submitted on possible cultivation / networking events that they should attend in 2024.

• Working with or managing external agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver successful campaigns or projects.
• Presenting to others, and/or creating and delivering training programmes to inspire and motivate others to achieve targets and deliver objectives.

Over the last 10 years the ICAS Foundation has awarded over £2m in funding to support university students studying accountancy and finance. Prospectus is excited to be supporting St Luke’s Hospice. The hospice’s mission is to provide the highest standards of individualised care for people with life-limiting conditions, palliative and end of life care needs, and their families, living in Basildon and Thurrock districts.

Reporting to the Head of Donor Acquisition and Retention (HODAR) and working within the Fundraising team, the Legacy and In Memory Lead is responsible for managing implementation of the Hospice’s legacy (gifts in Wills) and in memory strategies and developing annual delivery plans. The post holder will strategically plan and deliver promotional and stewardship activity, as well as ensuring provision of an excellent supporter experience, to achieve budget net income across these income streams and grow our active support base, including numbers of known supporters who would consider or have already pledged a gift in their Will to the Hospice.

The Legacy and In Memory Lead will work closely with the Individual Giving Lead to ensure appropriate coordination of planned activities involving existing and prospective individual giving, legacy and in memory audiences. The post holder will also work closely with the HODAR to help inform the development of departmental strategies.

The successful candidate will have significant demonstrable and relevant experience of in memory and/or legacy fundraising and developing in memory products. You will have experience in using a variety of on and offline channels to deliver successful marketing campaigns to both acquire and develop donors. You will have demonstrable experience of managing targets and income and expenditure budgets.

This is a permanent position with flexible hybrid working, based 4 days from their Essex offices. The salary is £28750.42 to £37,293.98 depending on experience.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to crucial initiatives aimed at securing funds for the replacement of two helicopters and the enhancement of helipad facilities, enabling continued service provision for complex trauma rescue cases across London.

As the Direct Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development, management, and optimization of the Lottery and Regular Giving programs through Face to Face fundraising. This position involves close collaboration with face to face fundraisers, external agency contacts, and internal stakeholders, including paramedics, doctors, and various departments within the charity.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Hybrid, flexible working, field-based role with travel around London
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week, with core working hours of 10:00 - 16:00
Benefit: 27 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays, employee assisted programmes, volunteer leave days

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Organizing: Collaborate with the Direct Marketing Manager to oversee campaign activities across Private Site, Door to Door, and Telemarketing. Contribute to the development of strategic plans and analyze campaign results to ensure ROI.
Fundraiser Training and Engagement: Update and refine Fundraiser Induction Training and conduct engaging training sessions on the charity's services. Implement a monitoring plan for external Face to Face agencies and build strong relationships with operational teams.
Fundraiser and Agency Monitoring: Monitor fundraisers' performance, ensure compliance with internal procedures, and maintain high standards for external suppliers. Facilitate the smooth running of Face to Face campaigns and cultivate relationships with agency partners.
Administration Duties: Manage invoices, stock, and website content related to Face to Face Fundraising. Support the Direct Marketing Coordinator in territory management and engagement schemes.
