Our client has an exciting new opportunity to join their diverse and values led organisation as a Night Porter at their Young People’s housing service.
It is a busy and dynamic supported housing service for young people aged 16 – 21 years. Commissioned by Nottinghamshire County Council, they offer a high quality, strengths based support service which aims to build the skills, confidence and independence of the young people who come through their doors.
The Role
As their Night Porter, you will undertake a varied range of tasks on the night shift and not one shift is the same as you will be involved in directly responding and helping young people with any issues or concerns they may have, whilst also managing the site, conducting safety checks and operating surveillance of the building. Other duties may include but are not limited to:
- Booking residents and visitors in and out of the building and log all relevant information.
- Logging all complaints, accidents, potential risks, and incidents of anti-social behaviour in accordance with policies and procedures
- Keeping a day-to-day log of events and happenings when on duty and ensure effective handover of information to relevant staff.
- Conducting regular security checks including fire alarm, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers and report any concerns.
About you:
You will be compassionate, resilient and have the skills to de-escalate potential incidents through your fantastic communication skills. You will need to be able to confidently diffuse difficult situations which may arise as a result of tension or disagreements between young people, and be understanding of the needs of people from diverse social, cultural and racial backgrounds.
Although training will be provided, you must be comfortable with lone working and using your own initiative. It is beneficial if you have an understanding of professional boundaries working with a vulnerable client group and/or experience of working with a vulnerable client group. A basic level of literacy and numeracy is essential as well as caring for the safety and wellbeing of young people.
Working times:
The service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year including bank holidays and weekends. Staff will be required to work 37 hours including weekends across 4 shifts. 8:45pm -7am

The Customer Services and Administration team is a dedicated and specialist team who provide all supporters, volunteers, groups, members of the public and internal customers a high level of customer service and support when contacting the charity. The team also play an important role in taking and processing credit and debit card donations made via the telephone or online and respond to Gift Aid questions and queries.
As the Customer Services and Administration Manager, managing a team of Customer Service Officers, you will ensure that on a day-to-day basis the team functions efficiently, effectively and delivers excellent customer care service to all supporters, staff and members of the general public. You will ensure all staff within the team are managed and developed so they provide a high level of support to those using the team and the services provided.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of customer service ensuring the supporters, members and members of the public have a great experience when contacting the organisation.
- Organise a rota that ensures all the elements of the Customer Services function are comprehensively covered.
- Put processes and procedures in place to ensure agreed SLA’s and KPI’s are being met, in line with strategic goals.

- With the Data Governance team ensure data protection laws are adhered to, storage of data, review and update policies.
To be successful in the role of Customer Services and Administration Manager, you will have previous experience, skills and knowledge in the following areas;
- Experience of managing a team within a Customer Services, Supporter Services, Supporter Care, Membership department. Delivering a progressive programme of customer service delivery to internal and external customers.
- Experience of managing and responding to complaints and feedback
- Experience of processing Direct Debits payments or similar and ideally thanking of supporter donations via a database
- Experience of the BACS direct debit claiming process and following regulations

The Director of Development and External Affairs will determine a strategic plan for business development, fundraising and commercial opportunities within the remit of the role. Your Daily Tasks Will Include:
- Maintaining and developing finance & procurement software systems.
- Configuring and setting up ERP systems.
- Managing user access and financial controls.
- Collaborating within the finance team to improve processes and improve systems.
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring data integrity.
- Designing reports and dashboards for decision-making.
- Providing end-user training on finance systems.
- Assisting with monthly reconciliations, resolution of control accounts, budgeting and forecasting and providing audit support
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in an accounting environment integrating systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and database understanding.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This role has a duel focus, split between supporting the Senior Management Team and supporting their sub-committees.
Based in the heart of the city, The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) is the leading professional body for Enterprise Risk Management. They provide globally recognised qualifications and training, publish Thought Leadership and run insightful events open to both their members and the wider public.
This is a permanent, full time role, with hybrid working and an expectation to be office-based just one day per week.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide support to board sub-committees, including producing concise and accurate minutes.
Oher duties include:
- Maintain and keep up-to-date action logs for the sub-committees.
- Assist the relevant executive directors responsibly for the workings of the sub-committees in meeting arrangements.
- Support the Company Secretary in administration of main and, if necessary, subsidiary company board meetings.
- Maintain the portal system of sharing information amongst executive staff and non-executive directors.
- Arrange and minute the SMT weekly meetings, and the monthly meetings of the Chair, the CEO, the two deputy Chairs, and others where appropriate.
- Provide diary support for the CEO and executive directors.
- Liaise and support the Chair and non-executive directors as required.

Homeless Advice and Support Worker
Our client, a leading homelessness charity based in east London are looking for an Advice and Support Worker to work in a busy homeless day centre. Due to a company restructure a position has become available to work in a team of Assessment and Advice Workers in the assessment and signposting of clients experiencing homeless clients with high support needs to relevant support services in the borough.
Candidates for this role will need:
- Extensive housing knowledge and knowledge of the entitlement homeless clients have under different housing laws/ acts
- Experience of working with the homeless
- Experience of working in a homeless assessment capacity
- Resettlement experience and knowledge of housing options
+++ DBS within 12 months of issue or on the online update service +++
Candidate duties:
- Offering advice and guidance on housing and resettlement related issues to clients accessing the service
- Overseeing casework delivery to clients
- Presenting clients with housing options
- Assisting clients to obtain their welfare, housing and related rights
- Referring clients on to relevant specialist support agencies for their needs
- Accurate recording of data into CHAIN
- Liaising with external agencies on behalf of clients
