As the Trusts and Fundraising Officer, you will maximise income from trusts by the creation of high-quality applications and reports to funders, and by providing excellent account management and cross-team collaboration. You will proactively identify trusts and research them for suitability and communicate and build relationships with their funders through emails, letters, telephone calls, service visits and face to face engagements.
To be successful as the Trusts and Fundraising Officer, you will have demonstrable experience in writing successful applications and securing four or five figure grants from trusts and foundations. You will have excellent research skills, which can be applied to identification of suitable new prospects for their funding pipeline.
This role is a full-time permanent position will ideally have hybrid working in their Amersham office, but they could consider homebased with occasional travel to their offices. The salary for this role is £24,000 to £27,000 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in major gifts fundraising and a proven track record of securing large gifts. They will also have experience of managing a large annual income target and driving continued growth and ensuring targets are met. They will have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire multiple teams to coordinate projects and exceed fundraising targets. Strong presentation skills and budgetary skills will be combined with the ability to build positive and high-value relationships across a range of sectors, individuals, organisations and committees. We are looking for an interim Capital Campaign Officer - Individual Major Gifts, for a 12 month maternity cover contract with a highly respected Global Environmental Charity. The focus of the role will be to manage a portfolio of donors and new prospects, making asks and securing six and seven figure gifts.
This is hybrid role based in London offering flexible working.

The Role
Manage a portfolio of donors and new prospects, making asks and securing six and seven figure gifts.
Build robust and dynamic relationships with supporters, both personally and with the wider organisation
Develop and deliver bespoke cultivation strategies for donors and prospects to maximise their giving.
Make face-to-face, telephone and written asks for support according to what will maximise the gift for each donor.
Identify areas that are most likely to engage donors and prospects according to their particular areas of interest or motivations.
The Candidate
Experience of working within major gift fundraising, including closing significant gifts.
Experiencing of managing a mixed portfolio of donors and prospects.
An understanding of the principles of relationship fundraising/stewardship
Either experience of working on a major capital campaign, or of working within a complex global organisation.
