Care Leaver Mentor

Salary: £16,308 

Location: Manchester - Agile

0.5FTE role on an 18-month fixed term contract

They have an exciting position available for a Care Leaver Mentor Leader to join them!

You’ll work alongside the designated Stay Close Coordinator in supporting their care leavers. Ensuring that care leavers are connected with the Employment & Skills support, advice and guidance. You will establish a peer support network with care leavers enabling them to engage with a long lasting and impactful network of support which will champion them to build their strengths to achieve good outcomes and to have successful lives.

What they’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience of working with young people and adults in a supportive and engaging role to help them on their journey

  • Knowledge of person centred and task centred approaches to case work

  • Experience in delivering group activities which engage young people and adults.

  • Proven record of ability to effectively engage with customers who have barriers and help them to achieve meaningful outcomes

  • Experience of managing a caseload whilst delivering a high-quality service

  • Level 3 qualification in IAG and/or youth engagement equivalent desirable
