Location:London based with travel in London, East Grinstead & Shotesham

Hours: 27.5 hours over Monday- Friday. 9am -3.30pm
As the Scheme Manager you will be working in one of the residential housing schemes based in East London, managing repairs, designing social activities and engaging with residents. You will also be assisting in regulatory and compliance work, reviewing processes and suggesting improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- All areas of resident management including welcoming new residents, completing inductions to ensure they understand the facilities available and understand the scheme processes, completing daily welfare checks and reporting concerns relating to safeguarding.
- Delivering a holistic sheltered housing service to every resident, helping them maintain their tenancy, access housing services, and sign posting to other service providers.
- Monitoring and reporting any breaches of tenancy agreements, managing complaints and escalating where necessary.
- Management of delegated scheme budgets in partnership with the Finance team ensuring compliance to policy and procedures.
- The management of site contractors for the services requested e.g. gardening, window cleaning, cleaning and maintenance.
- Overseeing the management of regular building inspections, identifying elements of maintenance required, report repairs and implement works, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety and security.
- Overall responsibility for the health and safety of the Scheme, ensuring fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing and complete all fire testing logs. Ensuring health and safety procedures and policies are adhered to across the scheme and paperwork and training are compliant.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in managing a residential scheme, working with older people and knowledge of related services and benefits, with a strong understanding of housing legislation and the regulatory framework within housing. Experience of managing health and safety and any safeguarding issues and concerns within a residential scheme, is also key.

The Role:

This role will need to be available to work some Saturdays and there is daily travel of 30-90 minutes.

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) to secure their new Digital Fundraising and Donor Acquistion Manager.
MAF is an inspiring Christian charity, utilising the power of light aircraft to bring help, hope, and healing to over 25 countries worldwide. For over 75 vibrant years, MAF aircraft have soared through challenging skies, conquering inaccessible terrains to serve as lifelines, transporting mission and development personnel, and delivering urgent aid and medical supplies to remote and isolated communities. As they continue to navigate these dynamic landscapes, they are on the lookout for a passionate and driven individual to join their supportive team as their Digital Fundraising & Donor Acquisition Manager.
As the new Digital Fundraising & Donor Acquisition Manager, you'll hold a vital role driving MAF’s digital fundraising endeavors and broadening its donor network. You will lead in crafting and executing digital campaign strategies, you'll deploy your expert skills in digital marketing, copywriting, and analytics. We are looking for someone who can captivate audiences, spur engagement, and foster meaningful connections. Through innovative approaches and data-driven insights, you'll strategically navigate the digital landscape, maximising MAF’s outreach and impact. This role offers a thrilling opportunity to shape the future of MAF’s fundraising efforts and propel its mission forward.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Development and management experience in digital marketing and donor acquisition
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, SEO marketing, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to analyse campaign performance metrics

Special Events Officer
Temporary - 2 months +
Pay: £16.48 plus £1.99 holiday pay per hour
Location: London - 2 days in the office, the rest remote
Charity People are seeking a Special Events Officer to join a humanitarian charity to help assist with some upcoming events, as well as other general event administration. The role will start as soon as possible and require two days per week in their London office, whilst you can work the rest remotely if preferred. This is a 35-hour week role, which can be worked flexibly if required. There is a chance this role could become permanent for the successful temporary post holder. At this time, they really require someone with charity events experience to come in and keep things ticking over nicely. Working in a small Special Events Team of three people, including the successful postholder, you will be assisting with various tasks to ensure the upcoming events are well planned for, and executed.
The temporary role is paying £16.48 plus £1.99 holiday pay.
The key tasks the role will include:
* Gift In Kind requests & management of suppliers
* Sponsorship requests & management of companies
* Prize asks & administration connected to the requests
* Design of Event Programme - collation of content and working with their Designer
* Writing volunteer briefings
* Venue liaison and management
* Invoicing and keeping budgets records up to date
