RNID Near You Co-ordinator – Somerset

The post requires travel across the Somerset so living within the area is an essential requirement.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we set up our new RNID Near You service in Somerset working alongside our current RNID Near You in care homes service, Somerst Foundation Trusts Audiology team, and RNID’s Health Programme to develop and deliver a new self-referral pathway and wraparound service in the Somerset Foundation Trust area. As a Co-ordinator, you will focus on developing and delivering our volunteer lead community service across the Somerset area through sessions in community settings. The service will offer:

• practical hearing aid support
• information on hearing loss and tinnitus
• hearing checks

You will be responsible for setting up and co-ordinating sessions across the region and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across Somerset. You will work with NHS Somerset Foundation Trust audiology team and our local RNID Near You Somerset Care Home Co-ordinator to induct and train our volunteers to high standards. You will promote this service within the NHS Somerset Foundation Trust area to ensure maximum engagement and uptake. You will also be responsible ensuring all paperwork is processed correctly and reports to stakeholders are timely completed.

You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/weekends if required. You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.

You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.

Individual Giving Officer (Maternity Cover)

As the Senior Legacy Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for helping shape and deliver the legacy and in-memory giving fundraising programme that will maximise the lifetime value of supporters. This role will be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing budget of £600k and an income target of £240k. With a varied legacy marketing programme, this role will focus on both the acquisition and retention of legacy supporters and work across a range of channels including direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV, digital, events, and Free Will products.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within legacy marketing and have a strong understanding of direct marketing across a range of audiences. We are recruiting to the role of Head of Finance, following the retirement of a long-standing member of staff. Main Purpose of Job

• To be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of our advice services via telephone, email/web, in person and at outreach venues.

• To line manage team leads, debt caseworkers and the energy adviser and support them in achieving high standards of accessible advice services.

Role Overview:

Are you a trained counsellor with a passion about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community? Are you looking for a role that offers flexibility for between 2-4 session/hours per week?

We have an exciting new opportunity within the Rainbow Mind Therapy Service in Salford to deliver both face to face and online counselling and therapy services to members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Clients will be allocated by the Rainbow Mind Therapy Service Manager who will also provide additional support. Monthly group supervision is also provided.

We are looking for an experienced counsellor, with a background in humanistic modalities and have trained in, or have knowledge in, Compassion Focused Therapies and with experience working within the LGBTQIA+ community.

We are excited to announce that OTR are looking for new trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP) to expand our offer to children and young people across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. 

Mental Health Support Teams are part of a national strategy implemented by the government in 2018. In Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. MHSTs are delivered in partnership between OTR and NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (AWP CAMHS). This partnership makes our MHST unique, creative, and responsive to the needs of the diverse communities we work in. 

Trainee EMHPs will provide high quality, evidence-based support for children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and some behavioural needs. EMHPs are attached to both primary and secondary schools throughout the local area and work in collaboration with Mental Health Leads in educational settings, as well as the wider school community. Our practitioners offer a combination of one-to-one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) support for young people and whole school approach work which includes workshops for pupils, staff training, and parent workshops.

Successful applicants will undertake a twelve-month Graduate or Postgraduate Diploma level training course delivered by the University of Exeter with guaranteed permanent employment within OTR on successful completion of training. The training and service experience will equip the post holders with the necessary knowledge, behaviours and skills to ensure that children and young people will have access to high quality, evidence based mental health support.

We'll be recruiting to teams which will support schools in Bristol, South Glos, and North Somerset. The next EMHP Training intake is likely to be in January 2026. Exact start dates TBC.

Are you a strategic and passionate legacy marketing professional ready to lead transformational change? Barnardo's is looking for a Senior Legacy Marketing Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract to shape and deliver a sector-leading legacy and in-memory giving programme. This is a unique opportunity to help secure the long-term future of our vital work with children and young people across the UK. 

Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving and Legacy Marketing, you will lead the development and implementation of Barnardo's Legacy Marketing Strategy, with a focus on growing the number of legacy pledgers and intenders, delivering exceptional stewardship, and embedding legacy giving across the organisation. 

You'll also play a key role in developing a long-term growth strategy for In Memory Giving, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver inspiring and engaging supporter experiences. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Lead the development and delivery of a long-term Legacy Marketing Strategy to grow income from gifts in wills and in-memory giving. 

• Manage a team of legacy marketing professionals and oversee a budget of approximately £600k, with an income target of £240k. 

• Design and implement sector-leading stewardship journeys for legacy audiences. 

• Collaborate across fundraising, marketing, and supporter care teams to integrate legacy messaging and supporter journeys. 

• Work with internal teams and external agencies to deliver high-quality campaigns and supporter experiences. 

• Monitor trends in the legacy giving landscape and use insights to inform strategy and innovation. 

• Champion legacy giving across the organisation, building awareness and engagement internally. 

What We're Looking For 

• Proven experience in legacy marketing or a related fundraising discipline. 

• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with a track record of delivering growth. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

• Experience managing budgets and working with external agencies. 

• A collaborative and proactive approach to leadership and team development.
