We have a newly created opportunity for a Senior Branch Accountant to join our fantastic Financial Accounts team for a two year fixed period.
RBL is made up of around 2,000 branches and 50 counties. This role is responsible for ensuring that all branch and county transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently.
This is a real frontline role where you will be regularly liaising with stakeholders and building strong relationships organisation wide. You will lead and deliver UK-wide engagement and support visits, providing training, guidance, practical assistance, and expert advice to Branches, Counties, and Independent Examiners, ensuring effective query resolution, compliance, and the consistent application of financial governance and best practice.
You will also oversee all financial aspects of the Year End Branch Accounts process, including managing the Interim team and collaborating with the Membership directorate to ensure that appropriate procedures are being followed and that each return is submitted accurately.

You will be a qualified CCAB Accountant with significant experience in a financial accounting role in a large, complex organisation. You will have experience of supporting year end accounting, annual returns, reconciliations or similar financial reporting processes and be highly proficient in Advanced Excel and accounting software. You will have exceptional communication skills, able to confidently work collaboratively with stakeholders with an ability to explain financial requirements clearly to non finance users.
You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.
