An exciting opportunity to join the team at Basis Yorkshire as a Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Specialist with a special focus on supporting young people from the LGBTQP+ community . You will be providing bespoke trauma informed 1-1 work with young people aged 10+ who are at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation.

The Young People’s team work across Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield providing specialist support to young people experiencing CSE.  The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a harm reduction approach to enable and empower young people to make positive choices, whilst working to reduce risk.  The team have an established reputation for providing high quality, effective safety advice, information and support, enabling young people to navigate exploitative and abusive relationships.  Services are provided within the community, at venues as young people determine. 

We are looking for a Volunteer Co-Ordinator to support the continuous improvement of care and services within our hospice.This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about making a difference, our service and ensuring the highest standards of care for patients, families, and staff.

About the Role

Hours per week – 22.5 hours per week

Salary - £12.27 per hour

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring volunteers feel valued, well-trained and supported, enabling them to make a meaningful contribution to our hospice and services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Recruiting, inducting and training of volunteers.  
• Main point of contact for volunteers to provide support and guidance
• Matching volunteers to roles that suit their skills, availability and interests
• Maintain accurate records
• Positive relationships with the wider team and stakeholders to promote effective volunteer involvement
• Recognise and celebrate volunteer contributions to encourage engagement and retention
• Gather valuable volunteer feedback and use insights to improve the volunteer programme

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about volunteering and community engagement
• Highly organised with strong communication skills

• Able to motivate, support and build positive relationships
• Experience of working with volunteers or co-ordinating people (desirable)
• Committed to the values of hospice and palliative care

This is an exciting and pivotal leadership role at the heart of Kinship’s digital transformation. You’ll lead a talented and ambitious team to deliver and develop live digital services, accessible content and user-centred products that kinship carers rely on to access support.

This role does not own all services delivered through digital channels. It owns selected shared digital products while also enabling teams across Kinship to deliver their work effectively through digital platforms, content and journeys, while teams retain ownership of their services and outcomes. You’ll provide leadership on standards, user experience, accessibility and innovation.

Context:
Kinship is expanding its reach and digital capabilities, and our digital platforms are central to how we deliver services at scale. In 2024, we launched a new website bringing together all content and services under one home, and introduced Kinship Compass, a postcode search tool that helps kinship carers find relevant local and national support.

Alongside this, we have been developing a new AI-powered tool to help kinship carers access trusted information quickly and accurately, 24/7. You will lead the evolution of these digital services ensuring they are safe, ethical, resilient and data-informed, and that innovation is always grounded in reliability, safeguarding and user trust.

You’ll play a key role in the Department for Education funded national Training and Support Service, ensuring kinship carers can easily access and book high-quality training through our digital platforms.

You’ll oversee content design in collaboration with internal and external subject experts and kinship carers themselves and lead the digital and content streams for Kinship Minds, including the development and delivery of our e-learning platform and curriculum.

This role sits at the intersection of digital service delivery, product development and content design. At Kinship, content design is distinct from communications or marketing. It focuses on designing clear, accessible and trauma-informed information, learning content and user journeys that enable kinship carers to understand their options, make decisions and access support. Content is treated as part of the service itself and is central to the quality, safety and effectiveness of our digital platforms.

This is a role for a digital leader who is both strategic and operationally grounded. You’ll balance innovation with delivery, experimentation with governance, and ambition with accountability. You’ll champion inclusive, accessible and co-produced design, ensuring digital products support real-world service delivery and improve outcomes for kinship families.

You will work closely with colleagues in the Communications and Policy team (who sit in a separate department and lead external communications, campaigns and social media) and who own the external communications strategy. You will ensure clear alignment while retaining a distinct focus on digital service innovation, product development and content design.

What you'll be doing:

Digital leadership and strategy

• Lead the Digital and Content Design team, setting clear priorities and building a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own and deliver Kinship’s digital strategy and product roadmap, covering the website, Kinship Compass, Kinship Minds, the AI tool and other digital services, excluding marketing and social media.
• Provide digital leadership across Kinship, strengthening capability and effective cross-organisational working.
• Lead responsible digital innovation, ensuring AI and emerging technology are used where they clearly improve service delivery, accessibility and user experience.
• Take accountability for digital budgets, agency relationships and delivery against agreed outcomes, timescales and quality standards.
• Horizon scan and translate external digital developments into practical, service-led improvements for Kinship.
• Contribute to organisational planning, reporting and income generation linked to digital innovation.

Website, content and digital product development

• Lead the ongoing development and innovation of Kinship’s digital platforms to ensure they are user-centred, accessible and continuously improved.
• Oversee the content strategy and governance for Kinship’s website, Kinship Compass and new e-learning platform.
• Work with internal colleagues to improve our workshop booking system.
• Ensure a consistent content design approach across all digital platforms, grounded in user need, plain English, trauma-informed practice and continuous testing and improvement.
• Lead the content design team to develop content for strategic projects working collaboratively with subject experts and kinship carers.
• Work closely with Advice and Training teams to ensure digital platforms and content design support service delivery, quality standards and DfE contract requirements.
• Develop an excellent understanding of end-to-end audience experience and how the website, online content and digital products can drive effective online services and enhance the kinship ecosystem. Map the user journeys across our website and digital products leaving no dead ends.
• Ensure integration across all platforms (e.g. website, telephony, Salesforce, Kinship Minds) to create seamless user journeys for kinship carers and internal teams.
• Embed meaningful participation and co-production with kinship carers in digital service and content development.
• Drive accessibility and inclusion, ensuring our digital services reach and work for all kinship carers, including those with lower digital literacy.
• Ensure strong digital governance, accessibility, documentation and use of insight to continuously improve performance and impact.
• Oversee SEO, analytics and data-driven optimisation to improve engagement, performance and impact.

Primary Teacher with Therapeutic Experience - Oasis Nurture – Oasis St Martin’s Village

Oasis St Martin’s Village

Oasis St Martins Village is part of Oasis which is a group of organisations, committed to building stronger communities. The vision of the Village is to transform the life-chances of children, who are struggling in or not coping with mainstream education, by offering them and their families support and opportunity.

Our work is based around the principle that “it takes a village to raise a child”.

Oasis Nurture

Oasis Nurture is a project that is carried out on the Village. It is a therapeutic intervention designed specifically for those children who might be described as the missing middle – those who do not meet the threshold for an ECHP but who nevertheless struggle to engage with the curriculum for a variety of reasons.

Oasis Nurture is in its pilot phase, working with four local schools, offering a two day a week intervention to a small group of children.

As a Teacher, you will be working with a maximum of six children supported by a key worker and a therapeutic practitioner. You will work alongside a therapeutic lead and a clinical lead.

In this role you will be:

· Working with the home school and parents/carers to understand the children’s needs and developing agreed goals for learning and emotional and social development

· Developing a basic curriculum for Key Stage 2 children for numeracy and literacy, related to their stage learning at their home school, so that they don’t fall behind.

· Providing a personalised, bespoke and restorative approach for each individual child to help address their challenges and fulfil their potential. 

· Maintaining clear and accurate records for individual children on the designated online systems and reporting back to the home school and parents/carers on the agreed goals

· You will also be working with the Therapeutic Lead to provide opportunities for mindful therapeutic care to remove barriers to learning and provide emotional support to access the curriculum. While this role requires primary teaching experience it also requires someone who has experience of working in trauma responsive ways and understands the therapeutic needs of children who struggle to engage.

Oasis Nurture is not an Alternative Provision; it is a part time intervention designed to support local schools and children and their families. Oasis Nurture is not a statutory provision and does not therefore follow teachers’ pay and conditions. Oasis offers all the usual employment benefits including sick pay and pension.

Job Profile

The post holder will contribute to ensuring the Supporter Donations Team (SDT) manage and administer supporter donation activity on behalf of CAFOD, providing a high level of supporter care while delivering within agreed service levels and Key Performance Indicators. SDT has the overall responsibility for managing and thanking all supporter donations to CAFOD made through a variety of channels and schemes. SDT works within the Finance and infrastructure group, liaises across all teams in CAFOD, and external service providers to ensure donations are processed within agreed service levels and quality standards. Due to the nature of SDT’s role, SDT has particularly close ties to CAFOD Fundraising activities and actively engages in our fundraising programmes and schemes.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Care:

• Handle telephone, email and postal enquiries from supporters; identifying and resolving queries in a prompt, warm and sensitive way.
• Provide phone cover to the Supporter Care team as required.
• Provide reception cover to the Supporter Care team as required.

Donations:

• Accurately code donations received, ensuring agreed departmental procedures are followed.
• Process, set up and administer instructions and payments through a variety of donations channels and schemes such as Online, Direct Debit, standing orders, BACs, Payroll giving schemes and online giving platforms.
• Input and maintain data on CAFOD’s supporter database, ensuring high degrees of accuracy on our donor records.
• File and archive financial data, while adhering to strict audit controls.

Gift Aid:

• Understand Gift Aid and its application within CAFOD.
• Assist with all aspects of tax effective giving, in accordance with agreed procedures and priorities, including preparation of regular tax claims for submission to HMRC.

Thanking:

• Produce and dispatch letters to thank and acknowledge donations received.
• Write bespoke letters of thanks to supporters to respond to exceptional donations and provide a personal touch.
• Contribute to ongoing enhancement and improvement of supporter thanking

Post/banking:

• Assist with all incoming and outgoing postal duties held by SDT to maximise effectiveness of processes and delivery of key service levels.
• Preparation of daily banking, cash handling and initial reconciliation of all monies received daily.

 All SDT staff are expected to:

• Attend and contribute to regular team, section, divisional and CAFOD-wide meetings and briefings.
• Work as a supportive member of the team, providing cover for and training of the section staff and volunteers as required.
• Participate in training and other activities as requested by the line manager
• Assist with the rapid set up of projects and work packages in response to major emergency and disaster appeals.
• Rotate through all key tasks within the team / section.

This role will be responsible for delivering support to individuals experiencing complex ill mental health and substance misuse issues, targeting achievable outcomes that promote and deliver positive outcomes for tenants in our services.The post holder will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions with a holistic assessment to support personalised recovery and promotion of independent living skills. Multi-disciplinary team working will be a part of the role, utilising and offering additional support and advice from partners and wider network services.

Key Responsibilities

Support Assessment & Delivery

• Implement and deliver dual-diagnosis support through 1.1 and group sessions to tenants experiencing issues with poor mental health and substance misuse.
• Undertake joint holistic assessments and risk assessments with tenants participating in the service to determine service and support needs and identity where these can be met.
• Provide outcome-based support measured against goals, personal aspirations of the tenant, and their achievements.
• Working with tenants, encourage them to identify their own goals and work towards independence and resilience. The key aims are to reduce the need for acute clinical interventions and hospitalisations.
• Put in place with the tenant, agreed SMART targets with a range of evidence-based interventions that addresses areas of need, such as harm minimisation, prevention of relapse for those in addiction recovery, and improved self-awareness and motivation.
• Through collaborative working with other teams in the organisation, enhance the personalised and choice-led support plan of tenants to integrate with their tenancy support needs and reducing the risk of tenancy loss due to dual-diagnosis issues.
• Help reduce episodes of crisis though support initiatives such as peer-led support groups.
• Be proactive in observing and responding to changing characteristics of tenants receiving support, recognising deterioration in mental wellbeing and putting in place interventions that reduce the likelihood of more acute support needs.
• Be a point of contact for tenants who are on the verge of experiencing a crisis episode, providing appropriate support and interventions to help avoid the need to access acute services.
• Foster positive working relationships with external stakeholders, breaking down barriers and improving access to appropriate support services such as specialised mental healthcare and addiction recovery programmes.
• Develop effective community links that expands support resources that to be offered to tenants.
• Develop all support plans and coaching sessions to embrace the key elements and principles of Trauma Informed Practice and Psychologically Informed Environments.
• Keep up to date with strategies and methodologies used in the support sector to ensure dual-diagnosis support in the organisation remains at a high level for all tenants accessing it.
• Promote the achievements of tenants receiving support through KPI reporting and case studies.
• Recognise goals and aspirations achieved by individuals and using the evidence obtained, formulate and develop future support plans and strategies that enhance the service.
• Work with team leaders and managers to develop our lived experience support in a structured and safe way.
• Deliver practical harm reduction, relapse prevention, and coping strategy workshops.

Risk Management

• Ensure accurate and up to date risk assessments are undertaken, putting in place effective risk management plans to mitigate risk of harm, neglect, and any other areas of risk to the tenant, staff, and wider community.
•  Ensure all records and support plans are managed in compliance with organisational policies governing confidentiality, privacy, data sharing consent, and keeping to the requirements and principles of the UK GDPR.

General Responsibilities

• Support colleagues through the sharing of support strategies and techniques that will benefit tenants outside of dual-diagnosis sessions.
• Foster positive and effective working relationships with colleagues in the Housing and Support teams.
• Ensure adhere to Stay’s policies & procedures
• Represent the charity at relevant external meetings or forums as required.
• Always maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality, upholding the charity’s values and ethos.
• Participate in team meetings, training, supervision and appraisals as required.

Background to the role

The Choir with No Name (CWNN) run choirs involving people affected by homelessness across England and Wales. We were founded on the premise that singing with others makes you feel good; it distracts you from all the nonsense in life and helps you to build confidence, skills and genuine, long-lasting friendships. Each choir gets together to rehearse every week and share a meal together at the end of rehearsal, welcoming everyone, regardless of background, characteristics or idiosyncrasies. We want everyone involved in the Choir with No Name to feel they belong in our community.

The Sheffield Choir has been running in Sheffield for one year, in partnership with the Archer Project and Sheffield Cathedral, who support homeless and vulnerable people. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 6.30pm at Sheffield Cathedral. Our rehearsals follow the usual Choir with No Name format of tea, biscuits and a chat before rehearsal, then ninety minutes of joyful singing (mostly pop and rock, arranged for mixed ability in 3- and 4-part harmony) followed by a free hot meal for members.

We are committed to co-production. Co-production means that people with lived experience of homelessness work alongside others to deliver all aspects of our work. Our Sheffield Choir Manager will be vital in helping us achieve this aim, working alongside choir members to develop the skills needed to steer their own choir projects and fully share the control and direction of the organisation.

We're looking for someone with strong project management skills, able to organise the project so that our members can safely access weekly rehearsals and perform two gigs during the pilot. The Choir Manager works in close partnership with the choir director who will lead the choir musically, as well as with the Archer Project and Sheffield Cathedral teams. The Choir Manager is also responsible for looking after a small group of dedicated volunteers who will help with preparing a hot meal after rehearsals and offering pastoral support to members. We're looking for someone with some experience in working alongside vulnerable people, offering support and signposting members to specialist services on occasions. Job Description

1. Member recruitment and liaison

a) Support choir members and develop lasting positive relationships.

b) Arrange workshops to spread the love and recruit choir members, ensuring that the opportunity to attend choir is available to as many potential members as possible.

c) During work hours and at rehearsal, be the first point of contact for potential and existing choir members.

d) Where appropriate, aid members in crisis by signposting or referring them to specialist services and act as Safeguarding lead for the Sheffield choir.

e) Enable and support choir members to take an active role in their choir e.g. taking-up informal roles at choir, joining steering groups and just involving them as much as possible

2. Rehearsal and Volunteer Management

a) Be the person responsible for all aspects of running a smooth rehearsal (except the musical bits!)

b) Recruit and manage all Sheffield volunteers, including supporting them in their support of choir members.

c) Arrange induction and training for volunteers.

d) Be responsible for the health and safety and food hygiene at choir.

3. Gigs and workshops

a) Arrange and promote regular gigs for the Sheffield choir, in partnership with the Choir Director.

b) Arrange regular outreach workshops (and occasionally larger-scale community projects) within the homeless, mental health and other relevant communities.

4. Administration

a) Set and deliver an appropriate work plan for the Sheffield choir, ensuring that it follows the agreed priorities of CWNN and that the choir reaches people with experience of homelessness in Sheffield.

b) Follow operational policies and procedures consistently and help to keep them relevant and up-to-date.

c) Contribute to measuring the social impact of the choir through conducting member surveys/focus groups and compiling results.

d) Complete quarterly reports and impact data.

e) Be responsible for the Sheffield choir budget, ensuring spending is reasonable and in line with predicted costs.

f) Shared information with the organisation to be included in national communications, communicate the achievements of your choir to your local community (via social media and other channels).

The role of Clerk to Governors presents an ideal opportunity for a highly organised professional, with previous experience of clerking, to play a key role at the heart of the School. The Clerk to Governors is responsible to the Chair of Governors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance and Board Administration

• Develop, maintain, and manage a comprehensive annual Board and Committee calendar across all Board, and Finance and Remuneration Committee meetings.
• Ensure timely and efficient production and distribution of papers, including agendas, reports, and minutes.

5. Risk Management & Compliance

• Coordinate annual reviews of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

6. Strategy and Business Planning Support
