Job Descritption

Content generation to be distributed across multiple platforms and networks.

Develop content to promote the mission in conjunction with the wider team.

Preparing presentations, and proofreading manuscripts.

Act as the internal communications and marketing champion looking for opportunities for promotion, knowledge sharing and embedding our mission across our community and succeed in increasing participation by creating growth opportunities through our partners, funders and our community.

Contribute to the multi platform transformation of communications to reach their goals.

Ensure your work aligns with strategic goals working collaboratively with the senior managers for all activity and reporting. A key element in this role is adhering to procedures, principles and protocols

Implement a framework for collecting, storing, updating and reporting data and insights.

Assist in the research process by collecting and storing analytical data.

Ensure the views of underrepresented people with experience guide your work and actively seek opportunities to involve our community in content and product development

Provide flexibility and undertake other duties that may from time to time be necessary, and that are compatible with the nature and grade of this post

The role
Leading on the planning and delivery of our healthcare professional education offer, you will work closely with our nursing, healthcare professional engagement, health information team, services team and policy, evidence and influencing team. You will lead on the development of our online healthcare professional hub content, focussing on sharing best practice, clinical updates and transferable skill development.
You will also proactively identify gaps in education, information and support for different healthcare professionals with the aim of improving the skills, knowledge and capabilities of healthcare professionals who care for people diagnosed with breast cancer.
About you
We are looking for an experienced project manager who has experience in the planning and delivery of educational activities targeted at professionals. As an excellent communicator, you will be confident in developing and managing effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role can be based in any of our offices located in Cardiff, Glasgow, London or Sheffield. However, our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.

This exciting Senior Policy & Public Affairs Officer (Scotland) role will manage a portfolio of policy and influencing activities and play a significant role developing the Foundation’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading charities and deliver social change by addressing the root causes of mental health problems and improving the mental health of people in Scotland.
What does the role involve?
- Developing and sustaining relationships with valuable decision-makers, influencers and allies
- Developing and implementing impactful influencing plans
- Providing policy intelligence and analysis and writing evidence-based submissions, policy reports, position papers, briefings and blogs
- Engaging with people with lived experience
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Ability to shape and lead policy programmes professionally and strategically, working with others
- Skill in building strong relationships with relevant external stakeholders including senior officials, elected representatives, people with experience of mental health problems and people who experience inequity
- Experience of working in a public policy role, with experience of a range of policy and public affairs approaches and work
- Knowledge of public health and/or mental health policy or a related field
