The Hepatitis C Trust runs national projects where peers draw on their lived experience of drug use, criminal justice systems and hepatitis C to support others . We are now recruiting for a new and exciting role to join our Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan team. 

As part of an experienced team, this role will promote hepatitis C awareness, blood borne virus testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C. The role will support volunteer peers and increase the project’s reach to underserved communities. You’ll be providing vital harm reduction interventions including needle, syringe and naloxone provision across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

JOB PURPOSE

We’re looking for a Due Diligence Assiatant to join our team! Working with internal and external stakeholders, the Assurance team ensures Start Network is compliant as a charity and company. In this role, you will support the Assurance team as they implement Start Network's strategic vision towards localisation and systems change. The Due Diligence Assistant is primarily responsible for supporting the Assurance team to complete the due diligence processes for Start Network’s members.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Business Planning Analyst working within our Corporate Services team. This is a key role that will work across the organisation and be responsible for facilitating organisational planning and resourcing as well as supporting on the refinement and maintenance of Project Management processes and procedures.

You will coordinate and update the charity’s business plan, undertaking regular reviews with business plan owners to ensure assumptions are reviewed and updated through a robust change control process. Working closely with the finance team, you will ensure that the business plans are fully budgeted and appropriately resourced.  Additionally, you will support the organisation’s project management resources with planning templates and guidance to enable efficient project delivery.

We are looking for an extremely organised individual with a strong eye for detail,  excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation. Advanced experience in MS Office products and project management tools will also be key – experience with Power Automate would be advantageous. You will be have a strong understanding of project management disciplines and financial management in order to support both project leads and project managers to assess and develop their plans.

As a CRM Engineer at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) you will play an essential role in our migration from Sieble to Salesforce by helping to deliver specific packages of development for our Salesforce platform within one of our Technology product teams while running our CRM platform in production, in collaboration with the CRM support team.

Collaborating with other Engineers, Sieble Application Administrators, Product Managers, Testers, Agile Coaches, Architects, support engineers, end users, and Business Analysts you will adopt and ensure best practices while looking for new and improved approaches to technical challenges. You must be able to communicate with less technical colleagues from the wider charity in a language they can understand to help them convert business challenges into technical solutions.

A key part of the role is to keep the Salesforce system operational by managing administrative changes from both the development teams and support functions. This will involve maintaining and onboarding user profiles as the platform grows (we currently have 70 users, are onboarding 100 this quarter, and up to 500 in the first half of next year). What will I be doing?

• Working independently or in collaboration with Solution Architects to support solutions in line with the CRM Engineering strategy

Role overview

An exciting opportunity for a creative and highly motivated candidate with strong technical expertise to help increase Global Canopy's impact by making world-leading environmental and financial data more accessible to our key audiences in the finance sector, business and civil society. 

The role will focus on the DEFT Pathway and related products. DEFT is a transparent, easy-to-use framework that maps out practical steps for companies to transition to deforestation-free supply chains. Hosted by best-in-class data platform Forest IQ, DEFT Pathway helps financial institutions to engage effectively with companies on deforestation. 

A key objective is to make the DEFT Pathway data accessible by building user-friendly frontend components. The data is complex and multi-dimensional and will require considerable creativity to communicate in an understandable and compelling way in order to maximise its impact. You will collaborate with designers, researchers and product managers to fulfill these aims.

As a full stack developer, you will also design and implement the backend to allow the data powering the visualisations to be accessed in a secure way. You will work with data engineers and researchers to ensure the database is well-structured and that queries are performant.

The tech team is small, so you will need to operate with a high degree of independence, and will have the opportunity to influence key technical decisions. We are looking for someone who finds this prospect exciting rather than daunting! 

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, these are the things that will matter the most: 

• Excellent full stack web development skills, ideally using python and typescript
• Knowledge of python frameworks for the backend, such as FastAPI, Flask and/or Django
• Knowledge of javascript frameworks for the frontend (preferably React/Next.js), and common data visualisation libraries such as d3
• Experience querying PostgreSQL databases, potentially using SQLAlchemy as an ORM
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS

Essential behavioural competencies:
