Joe’s Buddy Line is seeking a new organisational leader; a hands-on Chief Officer who can build on the great work already undertaken by our Trustees to deliver high impact mental health support services to schools and Universities; currently in London and the South East, but with ambitions to grow across England and Wales.
Joe Lyons was a caring son, brother, a wonderful friend and a talented, award-winning Radio Producer. Known as “Producer Joe”, he became Senior Producer of the Roman Kemp Breakfast Show at Capital Radio. Very sadly in August 2020 Joe passed away in totally unexpected circumstances at just 31 years of age.
During Joe’s life he brought a cheeky spirit and constant laughter to all those that met him. His selflessness and commitment to helping others touched so many, and in loving memory and as a legacy to Joe, his friends and family set up Joe's Buddy Line in January 2021.
We are now looking for a resilient, driven and inspirational individual to provide energy, strategic vision and operational management for our small and growing charity.
The successful candidate will bring a track record of effectively overseeing the day to day service delivery for a small charity, prudent financial management and an innovative approach to source and secure new opportunities for the Charity.
It is essential that the post holder must also be able to help us transition from a predominantly volunteer led charity to a vibrant fully sustainable organisation with salaried staff.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead Learning on Screen’s digital development team. The CTO will drive technological innovation and execute a comprehensive product and technology roadmap, ensuring our digital products and services align with our strategic goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CTO will collaborate with key executives to advance our mission in post 16 educational media innovation. Responsibilities include managing a diverse digital team, overseeing high-quality digital platforms, ensuring system reliability and security, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The CTO will play a crucial role in our long-term growth, leveraging emerging technologies and strategic initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Be Hands-On: Significant experience in writing code and actively contributing directly to digital development projects.
- Lead by Example: Expertise in agile development practices, driving team adoption and improving delivery.
- Relate to People: Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and align the team with strategic goals.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to lead our Finance team to ensure the ongoing effective management of financial resources within the Hospice and its trading subsidiary.
As part of the senior management team, you will build strong internal relationships, provide management information to enable sound financial decisions, manage the budgeting and forecasting process and oversee a complex payroll.
Working with the Director of Finance and IT you will prepare the monthly management accounts, VAT returns, Gift Aid reclaims and the statutory accounts and will ensure that appropriate financial controls are in place and all legislative and statutory requirements are met.
You will be a qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience; charity experience would be desirable. In addition, you will have strong demonstrable management skills gained in a similar complex environment.
An excellent working knowledge of payroll and VAT is essential, along with strong Microsoft Office skills.

You’ll be leading and broadening our commercial offer, helping us drive even greater impact in water efficiency, and the income to support it, across the UK. You’ll refine our proposition and pricing of existing services, seeking opportunities to cross-sell additional services to existing audiences, as well as broadening our reach, engaging with completely new audiences and developing and shaping new commercial services aligned to new customer needs. You will have strong experience at senior level in driving commercial impact for good, and everything this involves in terms of income, growth, commercial strategy and delivery, and risk management. You’ll be working closely with our Board, and reporting to the CEO and the Board on finance and risk.

As a Centre Leader, you will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. Their portfolio includes the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) - the premier lifeguard training programme.
RLSS UK is seeking to appoint a new CEO, who will be responsible for the leadership and smooth and effective running of RLSS UK. The CEO will have oversight of all departments, with overarching accountability for strategic financial management, income development and diversification, ensuring annual organisational targets are met, and will be responsible for high level relationship management, working as an effective ambassador for RLSS UK.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- An inspirational, decisive, and entrepreneurial leader, ideally with experience gained in the charity/non-profit sector and/or in membership or volunteer focused organisations.
- Track record of leading cohesive and high-performing teams, including experience of engaging a volunteer network as well as managing a staff team.
- Experience of working with a Board with an elected membership element and respectful of the different dynamic this creates.
- Proven financial management and governance experience.
- Experience of building high level organisational partnerships, optimising existing income streams, and developing additional revenue sources.

Embracing Age is a Christian charity working towards a world where older people are valued, connected and full of hope. We do this by befriending care home residents, supporting informal carers and equipping churches in their work amongst older people. Care home residents are twice as likely to feel severely lonely than older people living at home and we want to embrace them with God's love.
About the Role
The CEO will provide leadership to Embracing Age and to be responsible for the management and administration of the charity, in partnership with and reporting to the trustees. You'll lead, inspire and motivate staff and volunteers, whilst upholding and developing the Christian ethos, vision, mission and values of Embracing Age, along with the strategic objectives and priorities.

You’ll be a strategic, passionate person with a big heart for the older generations and a desire to mobilise churches and communities in coming alongside them. You’ll be a friendly, confident individual with good communication and organisational skills who is looking for a part time flexible role.

About the Role
As a critical member of the strategic leadership team (SLT) for Emmaus UK, the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development will take lead responsibility for ensuring the provision of high-quality support, advice, capacity building and grant-making for federation members in the UK.
The postholder will play a key role in the development of national strategic partnerships and will collaborate with federation members to ensure that federation strategic priorities are delivered and that our colleagues across the federation are able to do their very best work supporting people to overcome homelessness and poverty.
The role will also ensure effective programme and project management of directorate projects and work to embed cross-directorate working and co-operation.

The Role
As our Head of Finance, you will actively lead on the management of all aspects of the finance function to include;
· The production of interim and annual financial statements that comply with the requirements of the Charities SORP (FRS 102).
· Preparing all information and supporting documentation for the annual audit, and liaising with the National Audit Office, and the NFC’s external auditors.
· Supporting the internal audit process.
· Fulfilling the accounting and reporting requirements to Defra.
· Working closely with the Director of Corporate Services and Senior Leadership Team to develop strategic financial initiatives that support financial forecasting, goal setting and financial planning.
You will directly line manage the Finance Manager, ensuring the smooth operations of the finance function.
Your role will also involve:
· Preparing the annual budget
· Overseeing and signing off monthly payroll
· Contributing to the development and management of financial systems and procedures
About You
To be considered as our Head of Finance, you will need:
· To be a qualified accountant with at least five years’ relevant experience
· Senior experience in the charity sector, including producing charity SORP compliant group accounts and monthly management accounts.
· Experience of the financial management of complex restricted funded projects
· Knowledge of charity trading and gift aid arrangements
· Good written and oral communication skills
