Job description

Since YGAM was founded five years ago, we have quickly established ourselves as a leading
educational charity which builds digital resilience in young and vulnerable people, by training
professionals to raise awareness of the potential of gaming and gambling-related harm specifically.

Last year alone, we have reached just over 164,000 young people & students and collaborated with
almost 1,180 educational organisations (schools, colleges, universities and charities) to deliver
our programme. YGAM are incredibly proud to be working with all stakeholders in this space, from
the gambling & gaming operators who make products available to the public; education professionals
who support young people & students learning; the criminal justice sector; partner universities;
public health; leading third sector organisations; leading sports clubs; Local Authorities and
young people, students and parents themselves.

It is a very busy time in YGAM currently and we have a unique opportunity for a strategic leader to
join the YGAM team to (i) lead and be accountable for all aspects of our programme delivery and
(ii) develop purposeful, relevant and impactful national partnerships to further accelerate our
relevance in the education sector. The post is full-time and offers a starting salary of £41,000 -
£45,000 pa based on experience.

The principal purpose of the post is to support a programme leadership team to maximise and
evidence impact across all our education programmes and position that impact and learning with
principle stakeholders on a national stage to further develop the relevance of YGAM.  You’ll be
supported in your role by a first-class Senior Leadership Team of which this post is part off and a
c-suite board of trustees.  The role will be demanding and we anticipate the split will be 20%
internal and 80% external facing. Being highly organised, having an absolute eye for detail and the
drive and ambition to make this opportunity a success within a start-up organisation are critical
qualities.

To apply please email a copy of your CV and a supporting statement of no more
than two pages, outlining how you meet the Person Specification for the role.  A full job description is attached.  The closing date for completed applications is Friday 18th October 2019 at 1700.

Successful applicants who make the shortlist will be asked to attend an interview, which is planned
to take place on Thursday 24th October 2019 in London. Please make sure you can attend this
selection day before applying. YGAM are proud to be recognised as an Investors in People
organisation, guaranteeing you a purposeful job with plenty of training and career opportunities
for the right person.
Good luck with your application and thank you so much for your interest in our work.
