Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, this exciting new role offers the opportunity to support NHP's internal expertise on Housing; ensure we have strong partnerships with Housing Providers and grow the offers of housing from Housing Providers across the UK, to support our growth as a charity. Essentially with more housing we can establish more Local House Projects (LHPs) and expand those that already exist, and in turn support more young people.
Working closely with senior leadership team (CEO, Director of Practice and Director of Partnerships), this role will lead on developing our first Housing Strategy and ensure we have the internal knowledge, expertise and capacity to grow our housing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
General
Lead the development and implementation of NHP’s Housing Partnership Strategy in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team ensuring aligned with organisational priorities and growth of NHP.
Build, develop and sustain a strong pipeline of housing partners across all NHP locations- at both a local and national level. Maintain effective relationships with existing providers whilst identifying new business and strategic housing opportunities to grow supply.
Work closely with local authorities (and LHPs) to understand regional housing supply, demand and challenges- with a view to informing the Housing Partnership Strategy.
Develop and maintain a database of partnerships with Housing Providers, and opportunities for growth
Represent NHP at regional and national Housing Forums, conferences and events
Support Local House Projects to negotiate property offers and advocate for care-experienced young people and the NHP approach
Coordinate the Housing Community of Practice with one of the Practice Leads
Work with the Director of Partnerships to secure tangible opportunities to deliver Social Value opportunities- including collaborations and strategic opportunities.
Support LAs to maximise the accommodation offer to care leavers through Section 106 agreements and their responsibility to Public Value in all commissioned services
Deliver ‘horizon scanning’ briefings to the NHP team so they are up to date with housing policy, progress and challenges to inform their work and practice
Communications and Collaboration
Develop case studies and share best practice/our approach across the Housing Sector
Work closely with the Business Support Administrator and Admin Team to create and share communications about housing
Support the preparation of housing partnership updates, impact stories, and social media content.
Contribute to internal communications about partnership successes and learning.
Support the rest of the NHP team from time to time, as required.
You will be based at the NHP office in Crewe for a minimum of 2 days per week, but you will be expected to travel and attend meetings across the country on a regular basis.

The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) is recruiting to two full time paid internship positions to start in September 2026.
Interns work as part of a small ecumenical team on a diverse range of tasks and initiatives including communications, policy, campaigning and supporter engagement, contributing to the public advocacy and political engagement work of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.
JPIT is a partnership between the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church, and the Church of Scotland is an associate partner. Its purpose is to help the Churches to work together for peace and justice through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues. It is a team which brings together around ten staff working across the denominations. In recent years it has focused on issues around poverty, the economy, refugees and migration, the environment, peace and conflict, and politics.
These internships provide opportunities to develop skills in campaigning, communications, research, and policy within a dynamic team environment. There will be opportunities for professional and personal learning and development to equip the intern for further employment after their time on the internship. Position Overview

Individual Giving Strategy & Income Growth
· Lead the development and delivery of a long-term Individual Giving strategy, covering regular giving, donations, legacies and celebration giving.
· Drive donor acquisition, retention, upgrade and reactivation activity.
· Develop and implement robust, donor-centric stewardship pathways to maximise engagement and lifetime value.
· Deliver targeted, multi-channel internal fundraising campaigns across SJP digital platforms.

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded fundraising professional who combines strong commercial awareness with a passion for charitable impact. You will be confident influencing stakeholders across SJP, highly data literate, and motivated by delivering sustainable income growth.

Essential Criteria:
· Extensive experience developing and delivering strategic Individual Giving programmes within a medium to large charity.

Job description
Purpose:

Duties:
1. To work directly with young people as required by the First Start Manager.
2. To support First Start service members from a person-centered approach, recognising, valuing and seeking to reinforce individual identity by way of responses and informed choices.
3. To assist in the maintenance of monitoring systems, e.g. registers, need to know forms.
4. To assist in identifying additional individual needs and support.
5. To attend and contribute to team meetings and to assist in the exchange of information and show cooperation when working with other staff and partner organisations.
6. To attend training events according to expressed needs and demands.
7. To be responsible for the Health & Safety, the security and the use of the First Start premises, in conjunction with the Service manager.
8. In conjunction with the First Start Manager, prepare timetables, activity plans, programme reports, monitoring data and other appropriate work according to the needs of the post.

10. To liaise with and involve service members, parents/ carers and other partner agencies in the planning and delivery of the service.

Knowledge:
Knowledge and understanding of the development of young people with Autism, challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and / or physical disabilities. To demonstrate an understanding of the causes of social exclusion.
Education/ Qualifications:
An NVQ 2 in Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards such a qualification.
Essential:
Experience of working with young people with disabilities and specific learning disabilities and or Autism in a similar setting. Experience of working in an inner city multi-racial/ cultural environment.
Experience of liaising with Parents/ Carers.
Good communication skills with parents/ carers, young people and staff. Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work with young people who can sometimes present challenging behaviour.

Job Summary
To provide, manage and co-ordinate support for people that is based on their individual needs, desires and aspirations. To be responsible for the day to day organisation and effective running of services in compliance with the wishes of the individuals the Tower Project supports to live independently, the contractual obligations to the purchasing agencies, and legislative, statutory and organisation requirements.
To provide support to people in a way that is respectful, promotes independence and enables the individuals you support to realise their own potential. Effective delegation of duties to deputy service manager, team leaders, registered nurses, senior support workers and support workers as applicable. To promote good practice at all times, act as an effective and positive role model.
To support individuals in accessing the community, in their own homes or in any setting their needs and choices may require. Service managers may work alone with the people they support or as part of a team. Service managers may provide support to individuals with a variety of different specialist needs and conditions which may include learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, nursing needs, mental health conditions, neurological impairments, psychiatric and clinical needs, complex behaviours and other needs.

Main Duties
1. Assessing, planning and implementing, in partnership with the individuals you support, programmes of support and/or care that meet their general needs and maximise their independence, presence and participation within the community and to ensure the quality of service delivery.
2. Working with individuals (current and prospective people the Tower Project may support), families, advocates and other professional colleagues as required in order to facilitate good communication and decision making so that the service provided is coordinated and applicable.
3. Working closely with Operations Managers and Referral and Assessment Managers, in addition to external professionals, to assess new individuals and deliver and assist in presentations etc for service development and expansion.
4. Working with individuals (current and prospective), families, advocates and other professional colleagues as required in order to support individuals to maintain their personal finances, benefit entitlements, and tenancy agreements and to therefore gain financial security and long term housing.
5. Ensuring the continued financial viability of each service, closely monitoring budgets, contracts, care hours, auditing as necessary, and addressing any shortfalls at the earliest opportunity.
6. Being responsible for the recruitment, supervision, training and day to day management of staff so that the service can consistently provide the proper staffing levels, attitudes, and skills to support the individuals.
7. Ensuring the allocation of staff duties is clearly and adequately defined and communicated to all staff through the appropriate channels, to ensure that all staff members understand their own and others’ roles and responsibilities.
