CENTRE ADMINISTRATOR

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time (25 hours per week), ideally 8:00am – 1:00pm every weekday. Additional hours may sometime be required and can be taken as Time Off In Lieu.

The Centre Administrator role at the Vassall Centre in our Oldbury Court Hub is a pivotal role in the provision of warm welcome and effective administration for our tenants, customers and community users. The postholder will be the face of the charity at the site and will lead on the provision of a safe, secure and welcoming environment for all users of the Vassall Centre site.

The Women’s Centre Cornwall has grown from its early roots as a Rape Crisis Centre into an innovative, award-winning feminist organisation which provides a wide range of services for women and girls in our communities. Our work with survivors of sexual and domestic violence is our core specialism as we believe that there can be no real gender equality without a complete cessation of violence against women. In addition, we provide community-based activities across Cornwall and support women ex-offenders across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and HMP Eastwood Park in Gloucestershire.

 PURPOSE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Training Manager to oversee the planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of our annual training initiatives. Collaborating across teams, she will identify needs, develop programs, and ensure staff and volunteer development across the organisation. The role involves creating engaging materials, using innovative methods, and monitoring program effectiveness. Aligned with organisational goals, the Training Manager will foster a culture of learning and inclusion, contributing to a skilled and motivated team dedicated to advancing the Women’s Centre Cornwall’s mission of empowering and supporting women in the community. The successful candidate will also lead on developing a fully sustainable external training arm for the charity.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• To review all existing training, update material and improve the organisation-wide training provision.
• Designing, organising and promoting a range of high-quality courses for staff and volunteers across the organisation.
• To deliver and facilitate TWCC training programmes, both internally and externally.
• Line management and supervision of 2 Training Coordinators, motivating and supporting them to meet their objectives.
• Coordination of annual training schedule across the staff team.
• Work closely with Managers, staff and volunteers to develop and deliver training courses
• To deliver train-the-trainer training both internally and externally
• Develop a suite of external courses with income-generation potential

Salford Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Food is donated, sorted and packed at our warehouse, then delivered to our 7 centres across Salford, where teams of volunteers greet people as they pick up their food parcels. People can also access support and advice at our centres to help them maximise their income and ensure they are less likely to need to use the foodbank again.

You’ll be joining a friendly team of 6 part-time staff, 6 Trustees and approx. 80 volunteers, all dedicated to supporting people facing hardship. We are part of The Trussell Trust, a nationwide network of foodbanks.

Rate of pay: £21,000 per annum for 22.5 hours per week (£35,000 FTE pro-rata)

Full-time / part-time: Part time role 22.5 hours per week (flexible, home based within the North West with some contact hours at Salford Foodbank warehouse/office)

Temporary / permanent: Fixed term contract role for 18 months, with opportunity to extend based on funding

•  This is an exciting opportunity to join Salford Foodbank in a new role, accountable to the Foodbank Manager and the board of trustees. As the need for Foodbank services continues to grow Salford Foodbank has developed and expanded. The staff and volunteer team have increased, and we have embarked on new projects to support those that use the Foodbank.
• In order to maintain our current services and further develop, we need to grow our annual fundraised income.
• Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income, reach, and support from grant giving trusts and foundations as well as corporate organisations across Salford and Greater Manchester.  
• Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of growing income and building relationships with trusts and foundations as well as corporate partners to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. Key Responsibilities:

• You’ll research potential funding opportunities from the local council and local authorities.

This is an exciting opportunity to help Cambridge City Food Bank realise it’s vision of ending the need for foodbanks, through an ambitious strategy creating a network of affordable food clubs, financial inclusion projects, and campaigning to change current systems which contribute to food insecurity – and working alongside it’s eight existing foodbank welcome centres.

To ensure the smooth running of the sales floor and main office to offer a high-quality service to donators and customers.

Our Carer Liaison Workers work within both local NHS Trusts (BRI and Southmead Hospitals), where they make a real difference, supporting adult carers – those who care for others who can’t manage without their help, when the person they care for goes into hospital.

You would provide information, advice and support, enabling carers to navigate their way through the intricacies of the hospital journey, whilst liaising with health and social care professionals to ensure the carers voice is heard and their needs are supported, including during discharge planning.

You would also work with hospital staff to improve their knowledge and experience of supporting carers, through development work and training.

You’ll be joining the team at a pivotal time for our charity. Having recently secured our core statutory income for the next 3 to 5 years we’re now looking to use that as a launchpad to grow and develop new and existing services.

Elders Voice is a local charity serving older people in Brent. We are recruiting a CEO to lead our talented and experienced staff team through a period of change to ensure our financial security.

Elders Voice is an established and trusted charity in the heart of Kensal Green. We believe ageing should be a wonderful and worthwhile journey, but for that to happen older people need to feel safe and happy in their homes and have access to affordable activities in an environment that embraces their differences. 

The pillars of our work are a well-respected handyperson service and a day centre offering a range of activities focusing on health and well-being, socialising, art, gardening and intergenerational work with and for older people.

The CEO will need to embrace our aims and lead the EV team to provide services based on holistic, long-term, high-quality relationships and to ensure that older people shape development of our services. In this difficult economic environment, we need to explore new funding opportunities and transition away from a reliance on local authority funding.

At The Compassionate Friends (TCF) we are passionate about providing peer support to grieving parents and their families whose son or daughter has died at any age (from one month old to an adult) and from any cause. We offer this support through our network of over 300 dedicated volunteers who are themselves bereaved parents or siblings. We are now seeking an Events & Community Fundraiser to join our small, but dedicated and hardworking, staff team to help us to develop our funding to continue our vital work. o   Taking ownership of community and events fundraising at The Compassionate Friends, including preparing an annual plan, and incorporating digital fundraising alongside traditional methods.

o   Managing existing and introducing new challenge and fundraising events to grow the events programme, This will include attending some key fundraising events.

o   Managing a programme of community fundraising, including relationships with various community groups.

You will contribute to the design and delivery of an effective and solution-focused accommodation plan and advise and support service users to achieve successful outcomes utilising your specialist housing knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of accommodation and local service provision. You will also be expected to maintain and build new relationships with social and private housing providers and within the criminal justice sector, voluntary and statutory agencies. Monitoring progress and recording on digital systems is also a key duty.

• Experience of using digital technology and of providing evidence for external audit purposes
• Knowledge of the main issues affecting homelessness and rehabilitation of offenders

• Outstanding interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written

I am delighted to be working with a fantastic support charity in search of a Recruitment Coordinator. This is a 6-month FTC with amazing benefits, the role is a part-time (21 – 28hrs per week), London based hybrid role. As Recruitment Coordinator you will pay a key role in the People Team, providing a professional, comprehensive, and proactive recruitment service. You will be the first point of contact for recruitment related queries for managers and candidates, be responsible for the full recruitment cycle, and support the HR Officer with the onboarding process.

Key accountabilities:

Successful management of the recruitment process and actively support recruiting managers at all stages of the recruitment process

Accurate record keeping of all recruitment and related activity

Work with recruiting managers to create recruitment packs and agree timelines, panels and routes to attraction.

Ensure all approved vacancies are shared onto appropriate advertising platforms

Coordinate dates and times of interviews with panel members and candidates

Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g. recruitment agencies and other digital or online platforms)

Manage the recruitment inbox

Provide ad hoc administrative support to the People Team.
