About the role:  

Rebuild East Midlands exists to support individuals who have experienced human trafficking and modern slavery to overcome the barriers that they might face in starting a new life, free from exploitation and slavery. As a Project Worker, you will be supporting them to connect with community resources, building resilience and improving wellbeing. You will take a holistic view to support people’s recovery to live fulfilling lives. 

We are expanding our Support Delivery Team and are looking for a Project Worker who will help us to deliver Trauma Informed support to the individuals we work with as they move forward with their lives, ensuring that support is tailored to each individual’s cultural and social needs.

Main duties and Responsibilities: 

• Key working and managing a caseload of individuals and their families, ensuring those we work with receive support appropriate to their individual needs. Supporting and signposting with regards housing, welfare rights, legal support, health, education/employment, and other aspects of life.

• Direct work with individuals, including home visits, 1-1 activities, or support to attend other agencies as required.

• To establish and maintain effective relationships with other agencies, including Social Services, other statutory and voluntary agencies, mental health services, Children Centres, GP's, and other health services, education, Court Witness Service, to ensure a multi-agency approach to support planning. 

• Promote Rebuild’s group activities to individuals and encourage to attend to enable social connection and belonging. 

• Support the planning and facilitation of group activity sessions and events. 

• Work in a needs-led, strength-based approach to partner with individuals to develop support plans to build resilience and support them to connect into the community. 

• Networking and building partnerships with local organisations and professionals to enhance the work of Rebuild in the local community. 

• To provide mental health first aid to mitigate the aftereffects of trauma caused by trafficking, sexual abuse, rape, domestic slavery or forced labour. 

• Keep accurate records for monitoring and evaluation purposes. 

• Some very occasional weekend and evening work may be required. 

• Make an active contribution to the overall work of Rebuild through team meetings, staff training, awareness and fundraising events, and any other appropriate activities. 

• Keep up to date with all organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct and work towards best practice.

In the right candidate we are looking for someone who can evidence the following: 

• At least 1 year’s previous experience in a support setting. Preferred experience of working with people who have been affected by abuse, trafficking, homelessness, mental health, complex needs, offenders and/or refugees. 

• Awareness of Trauma Informed Practice. 

• Proven knowledge of working with community organisations and signposting to different services. 

• Ability to advocate for the needs of those we work with. 

• Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process. 

• An empathetic and compassionate outlook, whilst being able to maintain professional boundaries with those you work with. 

• The ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships.  

• Able to react effectively to highly pressured situations. 

• Strong communication skills with proven writing ability. 

• Discretion and work in accordance with the Data Protection Act. 

• Good people skills especially with those whom English is not the first language. 

• Proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relating to adults and children and young people. 

• Valid employment rights to work in the UK. 

• The post holder will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. 

• The candidate will need to have a vehicle and valid driving licence. Mileage costs to be reimbursed.

Commercial acumen with a proven track record in the development of existing income streams and the identification and maximisation of new ones is crucial, as is a detailed understanding of best practice associated with visitor attractions and the ability to analyse data to make informed decisions and develop innovative solutions. Exceptional management and team working skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels and build towards a shared vision is also a must.

Job Title: Family Support Worker

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families affected by domestic/sexual abuse. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing holistic support to mothers, children, and young people (CYP) during their time in refuge and as they transition into the community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Developing and Delivering Services:

   • Provide personalised 1:1 family support services to families residing in the refuge, addressing the impact of domestic/sexual abuse on the family unit.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent Multimedia Content Producer to join the Marketing Communications team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. This role will support the Senior Creative Lead & Design Manager and Head of Marketing & Brand to create, commission and produce a wide variety of creative marketing materials, focusing on photography and video assets. 

You will work across all areas of SSAFA, so your creative talents will help raise awareness of crucial services, recruit volunteers, support fundraising initiatives and promote understanding of SSAFA’s work, this will allow you the ability to flex your content production skills to different audience types and a wide range of outputs. You will work from creative concept to asset completion and be able to lead on the development of our video strategy and planning. This is a new role within the organisation so you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the future direction of multimedia content, in particular focusing on video content strategy. 

You will have access to the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software, and actively encouraged to develop your skills and proficiency in areas you may not have experienced, some skill in using other Adobe products such as InDesign is desirable, but not essential.

About the team

• A portfolio of video or photographic projects demonstrating; creative concept development, collaboration others/colleagues to produce creative assets. 
• Demonstratable experience of planning and managing a pipeline of photo, video or audio assets, and working collaboratively and effectively to achieve engaging content that supports SSAFA achieving its KPIs.
• Demonstrable experience of organising a photo/video shoot, including briefing photographers, videographers or others. 
• Demonstrable experience of creating compelling multimedia content that drives an emotional connection with the audience. You may have undertaken parts of this process such as crafting a storyboard and briefing the delivery, or you may have taken video footage to edit varying assets. 
• Experience working with a marketing or communications team to support the creation and delivery of digital assets for active TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter social media accounts, including knowledge of different digital and social media advertising format would be advantageous. 
• Excellent skills in Premiere Pro (or similar) 
• Some skill in other creative tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. would be advantageous.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines as needed. 
• Experience of working in a commercial, public or not-for-profit organisation would be beneficial.

The Role: 

As the Partnerships Officer, you will support the Partnerships Team on business development, managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors, as well as researching new opportunities. 

Our places and volunteers are crucial to us. They know their communities best. This role will support our local Delivery teams to build new partnerships and grow our places. The role will also platform the voices of our volunteers to lead the development of our services.  This post will play a key role in the Partnerships Team. 

Your core responsibilities will consist of supporting the Partnerships team & wider organisation in growing Volunteering Matters and its family of brands. Managing a portfolio of small trusts, foundations, and donors; supporting the Partnerships team & wider organisation with relationship management of major donors as well as developing and researching opportunities for business development with regional partners and stakeholders.

• Support the Partnerships team and wider organisation to grow Volunteering Matters locally.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is looking for an experienced, proactive and customer focused adviser to support the work of the wider Advice and Support team

The right candidate will enjoy and excel at managing their own diary and workload and would have significant experience of working in an educational, health or social care environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for this role along with the ability to show empathy.

The post holder will be responsible for Kent and Sussex plus other areas as required and therefore must have their own vehicle and access to reliable broadband. A car allowance and mileage will be paid on top of the salary.

About the Masonic Charitable Foundation

The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is one of the UK’s leading charities, providing a range of benevolent support to individuals and awarding grants to local and national charities.

Our work helps to encourage opportunity, promote independence and improve wellbeing for thousands of people each year.  Last year, the MCF awarded support totalling around £20 million.  Our support is funded from the donations of freemasons, their families and friends.

The MCF was founded in 2016 following the merger of four charities that had operated separately since the eighteenth century. 

Our Regional Advisers are home-based workers who are compassionate and dedicated to responding to the needs of Freemasons and their dependents in their area, providing essential support. They are professional and accountable, working independently but collaborating with volunteers, colleagues, and local agencies to provide an exceptional service on behalf of the charity.

Their main purpose is to visit and contact members of the Masonic community to determine their needs and to help them to access support from the MCF and other relevant agencies. Support is provided through a combination of home visits, telephone calls, or video calling. 

The role also provides guidance, support and recommendations to office based staff processing applications for our extensive range of grants to support those in need. They form close and effective working relationships with local volunteers, providing support and guidance to extend our reach.

Main responsibilities

• Responding to/visiting freemasons and their dependents to:
  • provide support and advice; and
  • determine relevant support from the MCF or other agencies to meet their needs
• Face-to-face visits, video conferencing and in-depth telephone calls are required to provide extensive and detailed support.
• Production of accurate and comprehensive reports detailing agreed plans and all relevant supporting documents
• Liaising with colleagues within the department to provide guidance and support in processing applications for our extensive range of grants to assist those in need
• Ambassadorial role for MCF, liaising with other stakeholders, delivering occasional presentations and workshops to raise awareness of the role of the Advice, Support and Enquiries Team and support available from the MCF

• Driver with a clean licence and full-time access to a car, as regular travel across the North and Scotland area will be required
• Flexible attitude, as the Volunteers Officer will be expected to support campaigns by attending activities and events that may take place in unsociable hours, such as evenings and weekends. Please note that any over-time will be compensated via Human Appeal’s TOIL Policy
• Computer literate and database proficient; experience using Salesforce is desirable
