The Central Service Coordinator will ensure Gaddum delivers its organisational objectives by coordinating efficient and effective Human Resources, People and Central workstreams.  

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Finance and working as part of a small but high performing team: They will be a key reference point for the organisation’s leaders to ensure those they manage have the best possible opportunities to thrive during the course of their employment at Gaddum. 

The postholder will be responsible for overseeing central systems and processes relating to organisation-wide People Services as required by the Senior Leadership Team and Trustee Board.  

This role is subject to a Standard DBS Check.

As the Trusts and Fundraising Officer, you will maximise income from trusts by the creation of high-quality applications and reports to funders, and by providing excellent account management and cross-team collaboration. You will proactively identify trusts and research them for suitability and communicate and build relationships with their funders through emails, letters, telephone calls, service visits and face to face engagements.

To be successful as the Trusts and Fundraising Officer, you will have demonstrable experience in writing successful applications and securing four or five figure grants from trusts and foundations. You will have excellent research skills, which can be applied to identification of suitable new prospects for their funding pipeline.

This role is a full-time permanent position will ideally have hybrid working in their Amersham office, but they could consider homebased with occasional travel to their offices. The salary for this role is £24,000 to £27,000 per annum.

You will be providing advice to clients supporting them through the debt advice process, including dealing with emergencies, income maximisation, budgeting advice and ultimately helping with a debt strategy.

2. Negotiate with third parties in writing and on the telephone
3. Act for clients where necessary by calculating, negotiating, drafting or writing letters and telephoning
4. Be numerate and able to analyse data and draw conclusions
5. Have good communication and IT skills

·Provide support to the Chair, CEO and NAVCA Board, by arranging meetings and all meeting logistics, drafting agendas, collating papers and taking minutes, as well as efficient record keeping, and managing a forward look of Board priorities.

Office and IT Support

·Organise regular face-to-face and online team meetings and team events.

·Provide administrative support to the CEO, including diary management.

·Manage and liaise with external IT support to ensure all staff have the hardware and software they need.

· Maintain a general mailbox and answer general telephone enquiries.

· Maintain records of equipment held by staff.

· Support the processing of staff expenses.

· Provide administrative support for the NAVCA starter and leaver process.

· Provide administrative support to other members of the NAVCA team as required.

The role is part time, 21 hours per week (equivalent to 3 days). The salary is £25,200 pro rata per annum plus 8% employer pension (no employee contribution required).  At NAVCA you will receive:

Main Purpose of Job

To ensure the smooth running of the sales floor and main office to offer a high-quality service to donators and customers.

Main Responsibilities

1. Serving customers, dealing with enquiries, arranging delivery when necessary
2. Processing cash, card and other customer payments 
3. Arranging for approved donations of furniture to be collected
4. Handling product returns and payment refund requests
5. Helping with movement, inventory and presentation of stock in the warehouse
6. To assist in the movement of stock by road transport, including van driving. 
7. To assist and support new volunteers as directed. Ensure that volunteers understand the customer service standards that we aspire to as an organisation
8. To follow all statutory Health and Safety requirements and those detailed in the organisation’s Health and Safety policy and risk assessments
9. Work flexibly and to be prepared to contribute to all areas of work in the organisation
10. Collect and share feedback from volunteers, work placement trainees, donors and customers with the CEO
11. To undertake any other reasonable tasks as deemed necessary by the CEO
