This post is advertised as an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advice Session Supervisor to consolidate their skills and experience or as a development opportunity for an advisor to train to become an Advice Session Supervisor within six months of starting in post. If applying as a trainee the starting salary will be on NJC Scale 6 - £33,194 for the first six months whilst undertaking the training.

The post holder will be required to work across all of our offices and outreaches in Southwark according to operational needs.

The role includes:

• Providing advice to the public and undertaking casework on social welfare law issues
• Supervising advice and gateway assessment sessions
• Supporting and supervising staff and volunteers

To be successful you will need:

• Recent experience of giving advice to the public. This should include having undertaken advice casework.
• Experience of undertaking the role of Advice Session Supervisor or to demonstrate the ability to undertake this role with training provided within 6 months of starting

Fundraising Events and Challenges Lead

Purpose of job:

The Fundraising Event and Challenges Lead is responsible for overseeing the fundraising events portfolio, developing and driving the strategy, and leading the delivery of a wide-ranging events and challenges portfolio to deliver ambitious organisational objectives and fundraising growth targets. This includes high-profile celebrity sporting and non-sporting challenge events alongside special events and mass-engagement events.

Key responsibilities:

· Leads the strategy setting and annual planning and budget setting for Comic Relief’s events, including building financial models, developing business cases and strategic plans.

· Lead the operational planning and implementation of fundraising events from ideation, through development and delivery, ensuring an agile approach to changing circumstances and to manage risk and maximise income opportunities.

· Manage and coach the events co-ordinator to support and deliver operational and fundraising activity across the portfolio to deliver against agreed plans and objectives.

· As appropriate, lead or work as part of cross-organisational matrix project teams to deliver all event fundraising elements including developing coherent narrative, fundraising marketing activity, supporter journeys and income/performance tracking and management.

· Lead and manage project teams of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to ensure all aspects of fundraising events are delivered effectively and successfully to deliver income targets.

· Procure and manage the day-to-day relationship with external delivery partners to ensure safe and successful development and delivery of events; this could include events logistic delivery partners, integration of external media broadcast outlets or television production companies.

· Working with the FR Events co-ordinator, supporting all operational elements of events including event plans, logistics, risk assessments, live content requirements, content delivery, health & safety, risk management and crisis management plans. 

· Actively manage the fundraising event budgets, ensuring spend is monitored, reported, and reforecast, with cost saving opportunities leveraged to maximise net income.

· Operate as a champion of fundraising events within the wider organisation proactively identifying, sourcing and helping to embed new ways of working, tools and approaches that drive and optimise income from fundraising events across an array of target audiences.

· Foster a culture of high performance and build organisational event fundraising expertise. Work across the organisation to ensure each challenge/event is audience focused and all opportunities to maximise income are explored through a test, learn and iterate approach where data, learning and insight is used to make informed decisions and actioned swiftly. Ensure knowledge is systematised and shared across the organisation for maximum impact.

· Working as a lead within the Fundraising Directorate, work with colleagues to ensure all activity is appropriately integrated within the wider fundraising plans and portfolio, targeted to agreed audiences appropriately and designed and delivered in a way that maximises engagement and lifetime value.

People Management

· Provide balanced, constructive feedback, undertake effective performance management to embed accountability and proactively support the professional development and growth of staff.

· Proactively undertake business planning, prioritise activities and set clear and realistic objectives for the team and individuals based on capacity, expertise, and aspirations.

Essential criteria

· Experience in developing strategies, plans and managing and delivering events with a focus of income generation.

· Experience of delivering high profile events with multiple external partners

· Demonstratable experience of complex project and stakeholder management in high impact and proven ability to deliver on time and on budget. 

· Evidence of working in high-pressure, high-risk environments with high personal resilience and the ability to effectively manage and mitigate risk, adapt and respond to fast-paced change.

· Experience of budget management including setting detailed, annual and campaign planning budgets and strategies, reforecasting, and ongoing tracking against these.

At The Compassionate Friends (TCF) we are passionate about providing peer support to grieving parents and their families whose son or daughter has died at any age (from one month old to an adult) and from any cause. We offer this support through our network of over 300 dedicated volunteers who are themselves bereaved parents or siblings. We are now seeking an Events & Community Fundraiser to join our small, but dedicated and hardworking, staff team to help us to develop our funding to continue our vital work. In this exciting and diverse role, you will be leading on the recruitment and stewardship of individual fundraisers and fundraising groups undertaking challenge events, digital fundraising and other community fundraising initiatives. 

Just some of the activities you will be working on include:

o   Taking ownership of community and events fundraising at The Compassionate Friends, including preparing an annual plan, and incorporating digital fundraising alongside traditional methods.

o   Managing existing and introducing new challenge and fundraising events to grow the events programme, This will include attending some key fundraising events.

o   Managing a programme of community fundraising, including relationships with various community groups.

o Building and maintaining effective relationships, delivering excellent support care and stewardship to donors, fundraisers, community groups, and partner organisations. Researching and designing new fundraising events, initiatives and products .

o Writing inspiring content for supporter communications, social media and website content

This role is for you if you have experience or transferable skills around planning, organising and delivering fundraising campaigns and activities, proven experience or skills in delivering income growth in an events and/or community fundraising setting and knowledge of online fundraising tools, digital marketing and social media.. This is a demanding, yet hugely fulfilling new post in which the post holder will have overall responsibilty for the management and day to day operations of our new mobile support van. A large proportion of the post holder's time will be spent taking the van along with a team of volunteers on outreach to where there are survivors of sex trafficking. Our immediate priority area is Bedford. This will involve driving to sites of sexual exploitation and trafficking, such as the streets, properties used as brothels, airports and other places, as necessary. The post holder will lead outreach sessions supported by trained volunteers, in partnership with Bedfordshire Police and UK Border Force. The post holder will be a part of Azalea's frontline team (we call this Encompass) and will work with them to offer survivors of sex trafficking crisis intervention and ongoing support. The nature of this form of outreach will require the post holder to work flexible and unsociable hours (37.5 hours per week), however Azalea offers a generous annual leave allowance. Since this is a new role, the post holder will be required to use their initiative and draw on the knowledge and experience of the team to develop a full-time operational plan for the support van.

Their Event Rooms are hired to generate revenue for the charity. The Club operates a number of schemes to provide free breaks for serving members of the Armed Forces. We are currently recruiting a Marketing Coordinator.

The Role
Working across all areas of marketing in the business including Front of House, Membership, Events and Food & Beverage. You will be responsible for all aspects of Marketing including updating the website with new content and imagery using CMS, producing and sending out the monthly e-newsletter, producing and replenishing marketing material and supporting on all marketing projects including print and digital campaigns.

The Person
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail ordinated individual who enjoys being creative. You must have strong experience in Marketing and Communications and be familiar with CMS including WordPress. A strong knowledge of social media management is essential. You must possess a good knowledge of Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Publisher/Excel, along with knowledge of email marketing programmes.

CST Client Advisor

Role:

As a CST Client Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients transitioning from military to civilian life by providing tracking, referral, and job matching services. Working closely with the CST team, you will offer advice and guidance to both clients and employers, utilising ADAPT and the CTP jobs board (RightJob). This role requires a dedicated individual with exceptional communication skills and a passion for supporting others.

Reporting to the CST Team Leader and Support Centre Manager, you will contribute to the efficient operation of our office through your dedication and customer service skills.

This role offers flexible working hours, including options for full-time or part-time (minimum of 3 days or 21 hours) employment, and is open to job share arrangements with a salary of £22,000 pro rata.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the progress of clients through telephone and email tracking, adhering to CTP CCMP and relevant working instructions.
• Refer clients to appropriate resources such as Employment Advisors, Specialist Employment Consultants, or Career Consultants, in alignment with CTP CCMPs.
• Provide responsive helpdesk support to employers and service leavers requiring assistance with CTP online services.
• Accurately record all interactions with clients and employers on the CTP ADAPT BMS.
• Track client outcomes post-discharge and record successful "Settled" outcomes as per CST CCMP.
• Encourage employers to utilize the Right Job registration and vacancy posting process.
• Assist in promoting CTP services to service leavers and employers.
• Provide cover for other team members during absences or holidays.
• Undertake additional tasks and requests as directed by the CST Team Leader / Support Centre Manager.

Essential Competencies:

• NVQ Advice and Guidance (Level 3) or equivalent.
• Experience in guiding, advising, and supporting individuals.
• Self-motivated team player dedicated to achieving successful outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a personable manner and strong telephone technique.
• Proficient in IT and keyboard skills.
• Experience in business administration, including database and customer relation management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to achieving goals.

• Successful candidates must undergo Ministry of Defence security clearance, requiring residency in the UK for over 5 years.

We are looking for a Regional Fundraiser to join our Poppyscotland team to work across the East of Scotland.

You will work with the team of Regional Fundraisers with your main responsibility being to develop, implement and grow supporter-led fundraising across the East of Scotland. You will deliver regional fundraising activities, and recruit and support fundraising volunteers ensuring they have a great experience whilst fundraising for Poppyscotland.  A critical part of this role is also to support our volunteer Scottish Poppy Appeal Area Organisers to maximise their local Poppy Appeal incomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Develop, implement and monitor effective operational plans for supporter-led fundraising activities throughout the East of Scotland

· Management and production of Regional fundraising events working with the local businesses and volunteers

· Mentor Poppy Appeal Area Organisers to maximise collections

· Assist with the recruitment, development and training of volunteers

· Undertake fundraising administration duties including maintaining records of all activities, filing, correspondence post, financial reporting and banking

· Developing existing relationships and gaining new relationships with businesses and volunteers in their area through business development management

As Strategic Lead (Cancer & Inequalities) you’ll continue our work with GM Cancer to achieve a permanent reduction in inequalities and inequity within Greater Manchester, addressing the social, environmental, and economic determinants of health and wellbeing, with the aim of ensuring active VCSE participation.

This role will suit someone with a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of people, for tackling health inequalities, and who enjoys working in fastmoving and complex systems. To be successful you’ll need experience of supporting a strategic partnership; developing proposals and funding models; and influencing at a senior level.
