The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.
Helping to coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives and implement new ideas, you’ll support your people, stations, and offices to raise awareness of the Charity and achieve and exceed income targets, as well as working with local businesses and people to maximise our fundraising potential.

The successful candidate will have significant demonstrable and relevant experience of in memory and/or legacy fundraising and developing in memory products. As the Major Donor Manager, you will join a collaborative fundraising team and focus on building upon existing and new relationships with high-net-worth-individuals to secure income and support. Working within a sub-team of three including a Prospect Research Manager and the Senior Major Donor Manager, this role will have great support and work with the team to grow the major donor portfolio and achieve a team target. To be successful as the Major Donor Manager you will have proven experience in building and securing relationships with high-net-worth-individuals. This person will have secured relationships of either a four, five or six figure level. You will ideally have done this previously within a fundraising environment and understand how to engage potential donors. This person will be passionate about ending food insecurity and be excited to work with a collaborative team.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices. The salary for this role is £41,000 to £45,000.

Elders Voice is an established and trusted charity in the heart of Kensal Green. We believe ageing should be a wonderful and worthwhile journey, but for that to happen older people need to feel safe and happy in their homes and have access to affordable activities in an environment that embraces their differences.
The pillars of our work are a well-respected handyperson service and a day centre offering a range of activities focusing on health and well-being, socialising, art, gardening and intergenerational work with and for older people.
The CEO will need to embrace our aims and lead the EV team to provide services based on holistic, long-term, high-quality relationships and to ensure that older people shape development of our services. In this difficult economic environment, we need to explore new funding opportunities and transition away from a reliance on local authority funding.
You will report directly to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and be supported by the board and a small, dedicated staff team.
Your role:
- To lead the staff team to deliver excellent services for older people in Brent.
- To ensure the financial stability of Elders Voice.
- To work with the board of trustees to develop and deliver the strategic plan.
- To act as an ambassador for Elders Voice and the older people we represent.

The Role
Cultivate and apply to grant givers with the propensity to give gifts of up to 10k per annum.
Deliver excellent stewardship and customer care to our trust donors.
Identify and research new trust supporters.
Be responsible for own personal cohort of trust supporters, ensuring they are applied to, updated and thanked in line with service standards.
The Candidate
Experience of working in a fundraising environment with some experience of fundraising from grant-giving trusts.
IT literate, including the ability to use Microsoft office.
Experience of working with customer databases and inputting data accurately.

Attention to detail and the diligent stewardship of the RPO’s existing relationships are of paramount importance. The role requires excellent writing skills, experience of structuring persuasive cases for support, and securing significant grants from a broad range of trusts, foundations and grant making bodies. This is a permanent position with hybrid working, based 3 days from their London offices and flexible working. The salary is £38,000 - £42,000.
