They have more than 250 older peoples in alms house accommodation in Blackheath and Beckenham and have a small 28-bed care home on their Blackheath site. Morden College are committed to providing services that support their residents to live independent and healthy lives.
The organisation is embarking on a finance process review, in order to improve their ways of working. With plans in place to upgrade their finance and CRM systems the role would suit a change-focussed individual.
Reporting into the Finance Director, the role is a key member of the team with responsibility of three staff, and the involvement in the strategic vision of the finance team. With their main base in Blackheath, the role is hybrid and strives to offer as much flexibility as possible, including a wide-ranging benefits package.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Ensure the completion of all month end processes and the timely delivery of the monthly management accounts.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to provide a responsive and compliant finance management operation.
- Support the improvement of processes and systems, ensuring robust policies are in place so the organisation can be fully digitised.
- Lead and manage a team of four, quality assuring their work, and guiding their careers and ensuring their continued development and nurturing great team culture.
- Support the Finance Director with the production of the annual financial statements, project managing the team to facilitate a smooth audit delivery across the main organisation as well as subsidiary accounts.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant, likely with experience from within the not-for-profit sector.
- Have experience driving change and improving processes and broader cultural change in a finance team.
- Be able to flex up and down from a hands-on perspective to also offer strategic insight to the Finance Director.
- Have significant experience working in a finance function with the knowledge of ‘what good looks like’.

The role of our Support Worker play's a crucial role in fulfilling our customers expectations, making a positive difference and where appropriate supporting customers to step down to a lower level of support. Our Support Worker's are guided and mentored by 2 team leaders alongside a Contract Manager and as part of the team you will be developing and sustaining a good quality service to all our customers. Summary of role:
As a Water Efficiency Advisor, you will be visiting residents who have requested a free water-saving visit, to help them better understand their water use in their home and how this can be reduced through simple behaviour change measures. What’s needed:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak and relate to a wide customer base, tailoring messages to the audience.

Location: North Yorkshire (There are two positions available, one post based in Harrogate, and one based in Scarborough)
Salary: £24,020 - £30,790 per annum (The salary advertised demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band alongside the excellent benefits)

The Role
The role works with those furthest away from the labour market as well as unemployed helping identify barriers whether confidence, skills, health etc, and either signposting or working together with the participant to overcome these. The role is very community based but will also be hybrid working for admin time.
Skills & Experience
- Experience or an understanding of working with people with complex needs/barriers, or similar groups.
- Experience of working with people on a one-to-one basis, offering motivation and support.
- Empathy with those with complex needs/barriers.
- The ability to build good relationships with a range of different people, from employers to clients.

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham.
We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide.
You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance misuse work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed supporting clients to make positive changes in order to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider drug strategy.
Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance misuse, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of our service users to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.
Experience of working with drug and alcohol misuse and individuals is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with clients on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.
