Windsor Road service offers 11 beds to people experiencing mental ill health. We are a CQC registered residential care home. We offer individual one to one interventions and sessions such as social anxiety, anxiety, finance and budgeting, positive self-image, building self-esteem, support with diet and nutrition, healthy eating, sleep hygiene, DBT skills, building resilience, life skills, solution-based therapy, stress management etc. We offer a range of activities in our service planner including a daily coffee morning, a ‘here and now’ group, community gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, social inclusion and family and friends’ days. We support our residents with daily living skills where this is needed, such as support with shopping and cleaning tasks, this could include prompting or supporting alongside them. We also work closely with other agencies and our residents wider care teams, so good communication skills are required. And of course, all of this is recorded on our information management systems, so good record keeping and documentation is also essential. Our service consists of 8 24/7 Recovery Workers, a Service Manager and Registered Manager.

Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to achieve independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a person-centred support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations, as part of your key worker role. Care home, mental health support or social care experience is preferred. You will be required to administer medication and complete a medication qualification and the care certificate. Candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties as well as completing sleep in shifts.

Derwent Square is a mental health project, that offers supported housing to 5 Residents. We are currently working to a recovery model and our aim is to provide stability and environment to learn skills that will promote independence in the customer. Lowther Street Crisis House is the only community crisis house in Cumbria. The service was established to provide a unique alternative to psychiatric admission. The project delivers a holistic package of support in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment without the stigmatizing effects and restrictions of hospital environment.

No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. In this role you will provide immediate and short term intervention via the telephone to children and young people impacted by crime and manage a small Triage team.
Position: 5511 Senior Helpline Advisor (internal title Senior Triage and Early Interventions Officer- Children and Young People)
Location: London/hybrid
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours. Monday- Friday, working on a shift pattern of 9am-5pm / 10am-6pm / 11am-7pm (Flexible working available)
Contract: Fixed term until 16th January 2025
Salary: Up to £28,300 per annum (includes FTE £24,500 per annum plus £2,800 per annum London Weighting Allowance and up to £1,000 per annum Line Manager Allowance).

The Role
As a Senior Triage Officer - Children and Young people’s Service, you will be:
- Managing a team delivering initial telephone-based support and an effective triage service to those affected by crime
- Responsible for line managing a team including recruitment, performance management and monitoring, support and guidance
- Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client’s needs is provided.
- Accountable for the performance of the team including maintaining performance information, using outcomes to identify effective practice and ensuring compliance with national standards, codes of practice and all legislative requirements
- Be the point of escalation for complex and sensitive cases and queries, whilst providing support, advice and guidance to the team
- Managing and monitoring workloads across the team, promoting effective communication channels to ensure best practice
About You
You will need to have the following essential skills:
- The ability to undertake impact and risks assessments and identify appropriate support
- Excellent telephone and IT skills required to use a database and undertake all administrative and reporting requirements
- Experience of safeguarding issues and legislation relating to both child protection and vulnerable adults
- Knowledge and understanding of the impact of crime on those who experience it, a working knowledge of the criminal justice system
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing, coaching others.
- Good communication skills, both verbally & written and ability to demonstrate empathy

About this key role
As our Financial Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.
We will also count on you to deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards the achievement of prescribed outcomes, and to work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of locations across a wide geographical area. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards are also vital aspects of the role.
The contract requires clearance through HMPPS vetting.
What we are looking for
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, e.g. those with complex and multiple needs.
• Proven record of working with partner agencies.
• Evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice.
• Higher level certificate in money and/or welfare benefit advice from accreditation.
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support.
• Able to work sensitively with clients applying trauma informed strategies.
• A full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Welsh language desirable but not a necessity.
