Local Motion Project Manager

The role

The post holder or this role will be responsible for the work of LocalMotion in Oldham and ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate to achieve their shared vision.

The shared purpose of LocalMotion is to learn how all elements of our societal structure, including funders, sectors, and citizens, can work together equitably within a geographical place to positively disrupt the normal patterns and vicious cycles that are holding communities back, to reimagine a more just future for everyone. And for the collective learning to influence change at a local and national level.

The main things you will be asked to do in this role

· To provide effective and visible leadership of the LocalMotion work in Oldham, both within Oldham itself and within the wider LocalMotion movement and network.

· To ensure that Oldham’s LocalMotion work is delivered in line with LocalMotion aims and values and strives for excellence in coproduction and collaborative practice.

· To actively connect with people, communities organisations and institutions in order to maximise the reach and impact of this opportunity.

· Work with the local coordination group to establish the ways of working and processes required to share power and devolve resources and leadership to drive forward the work to achieve our local vision.

· To ensure the local coordination group in Oldham is well supported, is reflective of the communities of Oldham and has the practical support it needs to carry out its functions and responsibilities.

· To ensure that the LocalMotion resources are spent in accordance with the grant agreement, the budget and that all reporting, due diligence and learning requirements are met.

· To ensure the LocalMotion work in Oldham is well documented, and we are able to share learning and impact with key stakeholders.

· To work with local partners, funders and other stakeholders to secure additional resources that will help achieve Oldham’s LocalMotion vision.

· To contribute to LocalMotion learning and governance events (approximately 4-6 per year) as part of the wider network and be a representative of the work in Oldham, including delivering presentations and sharing learning and insight.

Salary: £37,336-£40,220 per annum (pro rata)

About the Role

We're an organisation that's all about people, our customers are Members of the organisation and the Membership Manager is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and maximising sales for Kings Camps. Working with the Head of Sales, Service and Brand to deliver key Membership initiatives and line-manage the Membership team to drive sales and excellent service across the UK. The Membership Manager will also have training provided to contribute to our Safeguarding Team and Behavioural Support Team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare

• Understand all aspects of the Kings Camps booking and membership services
• Understand and deliver sales and service targets
• Ensure all child details are accurate, updated and provided to relevant staff
• Monitor performance of current activities and develop new initiatives to improve customer experience and membership sales.
• Work with Head of Sales, Service and Brand to develop new initiatives and strategies and implement within Membership accordingly.

Sell

• Provide excellent customer service to both new enquiries and existing members
• Maximise bookings from potential and existing members
• Proactive telephone calls to members to encourage bookings and gather feedback
• Build our reputation with members by communicating Kings Camps values and personality consistently in all interactions

Support

• Provide timely and appropriate response to enquiries, questions and complaints
• Provide requested information to members via phone, email, post or other means
• Process supporting families, group and business bookings in line with pre-agreed targets and with guidance from the Head of Sales, Service and Brand
• Provide regular reporting to the Head of Sales, Service and Brand
• Provide other support for marketing and membership activities as requested by the Head of Sales, Service and Brand.

Management

• Line manage membership team
• Regular reviews with team members to discuss workload, performance and progress
• Responsible for recruiting and training new members of the team.

Ideal Personal Specification

• 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service role
• Highly personable and a great team player
• High level of verbal and written communication with attention to detail

The Chief Officer will promote and represent Shepway Citizens Advice by working actively and constructively with external partners and local agencies. They will need to maintain and develop our existing relationships with funders and identify new sources of funding and resources.

We are currently recruiting for a Community Engagement Coordinator to be based at Sue Ryder Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Keighley.

About the role:

The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) will be responsible for increasing the reach of local palliative care and bereavement support services to all demographics of the local population.  The CEC will build connections and trust with the local population such as faith communities, communities of interest, communities of place as well as organisations and groups that support individuals who experience multiple disadvantages and/or inequality, for example, people who are homeless, refugees or from LGBTQIA communities.  The CEC will identify the needs of local people and barriers to them accessing palliative and end of life care and increase the diversity of community participation in Sue Ryder to help shape services that better meet individuals’ needs. The CEC will be embedded within the local community to bring the voice of those people into Sue Ryder and to help connect service users with people and organisations that can provide them with the right support in ways that meets their needs.

The Community Engagement Coordinator will work as part of the Wellbeing and Community Support Service, which is responsible for helping us to provide more of the support that people need, in more accessible ways, to more communities. The CEC will do this by:

• Engaging communities through a variety of community engagement, involvement, and empowerment techniques.
• Raising awareness of Sue Ryder and the services offered by Sue Ryder in the local population so they can make informed choices.
• Working collaboratively with local faith and community leaders, local organisations and other local groups and individuals to help shape palliative care and bereavement support services to better support the diverse needs of service users and those close to them.

About you:

To be successful in your application for the post of Community Engagement Coordinator, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to engage with diverse communities and have an understanding of health inequalities and barriers to people accessing health and social care.  You must also have the ability to proactively promote equity, diversity and inclusion.  Knowledge of the local area, including community and faith groups and local services and resources, would be advantageous.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, dedicated and enthusiastic team supporting people with mental health conditions such as stress, anxiety and depression to gain and retain employment.

Hillside Clubhouse operates an established Employment Advice (EA) service integrated into NHS Talking Therapies (iCope).  The programme aims to support Islington residents who are assessed within iCope and who require employment advice.

The EAs in iCope initiative was designed as an integrated employment and mental health service to improve both mental health and employment outcomes. EAs are part of the iCope team and work alongside therapists to provide employment support to help iCope clients remain in work, return to work, or find employment.  This takes the form of personalised support for the client backed up by an action plan detailing the client’s employment goals and the actions that the client, the therapist, and the EA agree to take to meet these goals.  

Overall aim 

iCope (Talking Therapies) is an NHS Programme that provides evidence based psychological therapies to treat people with mild to moderate and moderate to severe depression and anxiety disorders.  

The new Employment Advisor (EA) will work within the Islington NHS Talking Therapies provision. They will work one-to-one with a caseload of between 25-35 clients referred by NHS Talking Therapies therapists to find employment, remain in existing work if they are struggling, improve their working environment, return to work following sickness or positively leave or retire from work. 

You will primarily fulfil these duties by providing information, advice and guidance to clients who choose to receive employment support. The support aims to empower clients to make better decisions about their working lives, as well as communicate better with colleagues and managers in existing roles. You will also signpost clients to other relevant support agencies, as appropriate. 

This role would suit someone with a background in employment support, psychology, counselling, human resources, recruitment, or a desire to transfer their skills into the mental health support sector.  

Method of working 

EMPLOYMENT ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

1. Engage a mixed caseload of clients at any given time serving 100-125 per year, with common mental health problems, to establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them to find new employment or support them in, or to leave, existing employment. Support will be provided face-to-face in Talking Therapies settings, via secure online meeting platforms or over the telephone. 

2. Along with their NHS clinician, assess clients’ support needs with a view to creating, implementing, and adjusting a personalised action plan to help improve clients’ mental health and achieve their stated employment goals.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to support clients to find work, including career guidance, job searching skills, CV preparation, application form completion, interview skills, advice on local labour market opportunities and advice on education and training to further their career. 

4. Provide guidance to support clients to stay in existing work, including advice on mental health disclosure, negotiating reasonable adjustments to existing workplaces, creating wellness action plans, and improving productivity, support to return to work after sickness absence or to leave an existing role with dignity, and signpost clients to organisations that can represent them (EAs should only look to represent clients in exceptional circumstances). 

5. Facilitate access to other advice in areas such as financial benefits, debt management, food banks and community food outlets and social housing providers, as necessary. 

6. Work directly with partners like Jobcentre Plus, other employment providers, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to support clients to stay in employment and secure employment opportunities. 

7. Build a constant flow of referrals from the clinical team to ensure a dynamic and mixed caseload.

8. Meet referral and performance targets in line with the specific KPI / SLA requirements of the service. 

9. Regularly attend team and other meetings as reasonably expected. 

10. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring both the NHS and Hillside Clubhouse databases are kept up to date and paperwork compliant.

11. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organisation’s needs. 

12. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

13. Comply with and actively promote all Hillside policies and procedures including Equality and Diversity, safeguarding and data protection. 

14. Perform other tasks as required by your manager. 

The role holder must also: 

1. Pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an Enhanced level. 

2. Possess excellent IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office software, as well as experience updating and maintaining databases. 

3. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service performance requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.

This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. The service operates two sleep-ins per night (paid at £78.30 per 10-hour sleep-in) and an on-call rota (paid at £18.00) to cover a sleep-in/day shift in the event of absence – applicants should be flexible and available to cover sleep-ins and fill in on the on-call rota where needed.

This is a permanent full time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

About this exciting opportunity
The focus of this key role will be to manage the data team to support colleagues across one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Finance Benefit and Debt (FBD) in Wales. We will expect you to monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from Probation through the Customer Approved System (CAS) and the CAS itself to ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales, providing regular activity reports to the FBD Contract Manager.

We will also rely on you to be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, both external and internal, to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, while also liaising closely with external stakeholders, delivery partners, spot purchase providers and other agencies to arrange appointments, referrals, and generally ensure information exchanged is done in a clear, timely and effective manner.  Developing and maintaining processes for recording and monitoring resource allocation and positively representing the St Giles Wise partnership in all external meetings, including conferences, seminars, and other events are also vital elements of this role.

• A sound understanding of the barriers faced by people with complex and multiple needs

They will need to deliver services in line with funder requirements, maintain our high quality of advice and make sure clients get the best advice and outcomes available.

We are looking for an experienced benefits adviser with a commitment to tackling food poverty. The ideal candidate will also be trained to deliver full debt casework to FCA standards. We will provide training to fully equip the adviser to deliver high quality advice and casework, as well as an ongoing focus on continual professional development.
