About MenWalkTalk
MenWalkTalk is a free, non-judgemental space for men aged 18+ to walk, talk (or not talk), and feel part of something. We run walk-and-talk groups across the UK, led by trained volunteers, focused on connection, belonging, and peer support.
The role (what you’ll do)
You’ll help us keep our social channels active, clear, and welcoming — turning real moments from our walks and community into simple, human content.
Typical tasks include:
- Drafting and scheduling posts for Facebook (main channel), plus Instagram and LinkedIn
- Turning photos, short quotes, and updates from walk leaders into posts (with guidance/templates)
- Light graphic creation using Canva (basic edits, resizing, adding text/branding)
- Replying to comments/messages in a friendly, on-brand way (or flagging anything sensitive)
- Helping keep a simple content calendar up to date
- Supporting small campaigns (e.g., volunteer recruitment, awareness weeks, fundraising pushes)
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to be a pro — just reliable, thoughtful, and happy to learn.
Ideal if you:
- Write clearly in plain English (warm, human tone)
- Have good attention to detail and can follow brand guidelines

The Events Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of Hidayah’s events and activities. Working closely with the Events Officer and wider team, this role ensures that all events run smoothly, are well-promoted, inclusive, and aligned with Hidayah’s mission. What are the key responsibilities of this role?
This role will have the following duties, but are not limited to:
1. Event Planning & Delivery
· Support the Events Officer in planning, organising, and delivering a range of events, both online and in person

What will I be doing?
- Working as part of a team to manually sort and store large deliveries of surplus food
- Helping to assemble the daily deliveries of food for local charities and community groups
- Making sure the food is within use by dates and handled safely

Open Country is a Charity that helps people with disabilities to access and enjoy the countryside. We are always looking for volunteers to support our conservation and gardening groups, walking group and our weekend outings.
- Conservation group meet on a Tuesday and is made up of adults with learning disabilities who carry out practical conservation tasks each week at various locations. We work with organisations like Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and RSPB. Tasks can include meadow creation, tree planting, pond maintenance and invasive species removal to name but a few.
- Walking group meet on a Thursday and is made up of adults with learning disabilities or sensory impairments. We walk between 5-7miles each week at different locations around Yorkshire and normally finish the walk with a pub or cafe stop.
- Gardening and arts group meet on a Friday, and is made up of adults with learning disabilities, where we learn about gardening and various natural craft like willow weaving. We also regulary work with organisations like the National Trust and the National Coal Mining Museum.
We also run weekend outings for people with all kinds of disabilities providing experiences and a chance to socialise and explore new places. Our activities range from a gentle amble round a country house and gardens, wildlife watching at a nature reserve to axe throwing and abseiling.
As a volunteer you would be helping our members stick together as a group, or carry out the conservation tasks, making sure they are happy and safe.
No experience is required, just a willingness to get stuck in! We will provide all relevant training for the role.
We meet at Thornes Park Nursery, Wakefield at 10am and head out in our accessible minibus to site.

ROLE OF THE VOLUNTEER
· Greet and thank customers in a polite and friendly manner
· Assist customers in choosing items and actively promote sales
· Replenish and display stock in the shop throughout the day
· Receive donations and complete Gift Aid paperwork
· Handle cash and operate the till following correct procedure
· Take credit card payments using the Streamline system
· Assist in keeping the shop clean and tidy following the cleaning rota
· Undertake other tasks as required by the Shop Manager

· Great communication and interpersonal skills
· A pleasant and friendly manner
· Basic numeracy skills
· An eye for detail

AS A VOLUNTEER WE WOULD ASK YOU TO
· Support the Mission and Vision of Age UK East Sussex by helping us to ensure that our county is a place where people in later life flourish
· Be available to volunteer for at least one regular shift each week. This could be a morning, afternoon or whole day. Depending on the store we open Monday – Sunday.
· Adhere to Age UK East Sussex confidentiality and equal opportunities policies maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times
· Be reliable and conscientious
· Attend all training and information days, group meetings and supervision
· Exercise patience and understanding when dealing with customers

NICOLA Arts is an artist-led charity and community space based in London, supporting young creatives, artists and local communities through art, culture and social projects. Join us at Shaw Trust as a Volunteer Sales Assistant and help us raise vital funds to support communities across the UK. As a not-for-profit charity, all our proceeds go to helping people around the UK.
As a Volunteer Sales Assistant, you will be the friendly face of our shop, making donors, customers and supporters feel welcome.
You’ll be serving on the till, handling cash and card payments, answering queries and creating a welcoming atmosphere in the shop.
Our friendly shop team will give you all the training and support you need to make you feel comfortable and confident here. We believe that everyone has something to offer, even if you have no experience in retail.
