We are looking for new sessional workers to join our Young Carers team. Our sessional workers play a key role in supporting the delivery of a programme of activities designed for our young carers aged 5 to 15 and the delivery of monthly peer support groups and activities for young adult carers aged 16 to 21.

Carers’ Hub plays a vital role in Lambeth, supporting unpaid carers across the borough with 1-1 and peer support, signposting, monthly forums, training, workshops and social activities. Our young carers team works with children from the age of 5 upwards, offering support and information to young carers and their families. Adventure, friendship and support are super-important for young carers, so we split our work into four areas:

1. We organise a mixture of exciting activities throughout the year

2. We run monthly young carers groups – a space to relax and have fun

3. We provide a listening ear and relevant help to young carers and  their families

4. We run dedicated projects working with schools to support young carers with their education

Mindful Mums is an award-winning perinatal mental health and wellbeing peer support project that builds resilience and confidence in women and birthing people in the first year of motherhood.

We are seeking a sessional Project Worker to facilitate our structured, psychoeducational groups alongside our peer support volunteers. Within these groups, you will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for women and birthing people to share their experiences, meet others and discuss the challenges that come during early parenthood. You will also assist volunteers to deliver effective groups, providing appropriate support and guidance.

Our formats include; antenatal, postnatal, specialist groups for women from the global majority (Diversity Matters), Young Mums and weekly walking groups.

You will be a highly skilled facilitator with good knowledge of perinatal mental health and experience supporting people with mental health problems. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

• appreciate the pressures and stresses facing women and birthing people during pregnancy and as new parents.
• are reliable, consistent and dependable.

We are seeking a Sessional Project Worker to join our Perinatal Outreach service, to co-facilitate group support for perinatal clients (pregnant women and birthing people of children less than 2 years old) within the London Boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich.

You will help to support women under the care of the Oxleas Perinatal Mental Health Team with moderate to severe mental health challenges who have been identified as requiring additional practical and social support.

You will attend a regular programme of perinatal support groups and activities that encourage women to access outreach support within the local community, develop social networks and reduce isolation as part of their recovery plan. Current activities include weekly play sessions, walking group, soft play, picnics and monthly outings.

Applicants should have a good understanding of mental health challenges in the perinatal period alongside experience of responding to emotional crisis and managing risk. An ability to adapt to multiple and diverse needs, to be proactive and work independently but collaboratively is essential for this role.

The Family Support Worker is an exciting position within a growing, dynamic team where you can make a real difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Lambeth.

Following a highly successful launch to address a gap in support for young and adult carers looking after someone with substance misuse issues, this vital project has now been running for more than two years. The Role

Working across both our Young Carers and Adult Carers Services, you will provide holistic support to families affected by substance misuse through whole-family assessments and reviews. You will ensure that adult and young carers, as well as their wider families, have access to a range of emotional and practical support tailored to their specific needs.

• Sector Knowledge: An understanding of working within the substance misuse field and the associated health and social issues.

• Experience: Preferably, experience working with both adults and children/young people.

The Outrunners are a running charity based in Hackney, on a mission to empower young people through movement. Backed by an incredible crew of volunteers and partner brands like Nike and Moju, we help young people in East London to build confidence, wellbeing, health and leadership skills.

We deliver free, fun, sociable, youth‑led running and movement sessions for 8–18 year olds every week - during term time and holidays. But we’re about more than just running. We also create spaces for young people to explore creativity and culture, go on exciting trips, access wraparound wellbeing support, and develop the skills and opportunities they need to shape the futures they want.

Last year we launched an exciting partnership with Nike’s Social and Community Impact team. As a Youth Practitioner, you’ll deliver our programmes across schools in East London, aiming to engage more young people in movement and running. 

What do we want?

We are looking for a new sessional Youth Practitioner to work alongside the Youth Programme team to develop and deliver our Nike-funded schools programme across East London. 

You need to be passionate about getting young people moving, in particular girls and young women, and believe in the power of excellent youth work. You'll have a good understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by young people living in East London.

What you’ll be working on: 

Supporting our movement programmes 

• You’ll deliver fun and engaging sessions in schools to young people aged 11-18, alongside teachers and other coaches.

• You’ll work with the Youth Programme Lead and other Youth Practitioners to design movement  programmes, with a focus on running and movement whilst also bringing other sports, games and wellness activities.

• You’ll support the development of our programmes targeted at 8-18 year olds outside of schools.

• You’ll undertake administration tasks such as planning sessions, ensuring evaluation forms are completed and uploading data to our database.

• You’ll complete any other business required by management and pitch in to help with other tasks at busy times during the year. 

Working with young people and their families 

• You’ll develop and maintain relationships with young people and parents.

• You’ll support young people's attendance at approximately 5 races per year (weekends)

• You’ll work with the Youth Programme Team to plan and deliver activities over half-term and summer holidays. 

• You’ll ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld for all young people.

This is a community based role requiring independence, professional judgement and the ability to build positive relationships across a range of settings including schools, community venues and family environments.

We are looking for a Weekenders Journey Guide to support prospective Weekend Foster Carers from their first conversations with Now Foster through to the next stages of the recruitment and assessment journey.

This is a highly relational, candidate-facing role. You will be one of the main people helping applicants understand what Weekenders is, explore whether it is right for them, stay motivated through the process, and feel supported to take the next step.

Introductory conversations (our ‘intro chats’) will be a core part of the role. You will speak with people who are curious about fostering, but who may also feel unsure, nervous or are still working out whether they can foster. Your role will be to bring warmth, clarity and momentum: helping people feel welcomed, informed and confident, while also making sure the right people progress at the right pace.

You will use Now Foster’s digital platform (a bespoke CRM system) to manage the candidate journey, track progress, record key information and help the team understand where applicants are getting stuck or moving forward. You will play an important role in making sure we are attracting the right leads, supporting them well, and learning how to improve the journey as we grow.

This role would particularly suit someone with experience of fostering or working in fostering. It could also suit someone from a related background who is deeply motivated by innovation in this area and excited by what fostering could look like if it were designed around children, carers and relationships.

You do not need to be a qualified social worker, but you do need to be emotionally mature, reflective, organised and comfortable working closely with a social work-led team. You will need to understand safeguarding, and be confident holding thoughtful conversations with prospective carers.

Supporting candidates through the journey

• Acting as a consistent, warm and encouraging point of contact for prospective Weekend Foster Carers.

• Carrying out intro chats with people who have expressed interest in the Weekenders programme.

• Keeping candidates engaged, informed and motivated as they move through the process.

Helping the right people progress

• Helping identify candidates who are ready to move forward, as well as those who may need more time, more information or a different route.

• Support candidates to progress, pause or close, as advised by our fostering service colleagues.

• Using strengths-based and motivational approaches to help candidates reflect on their motivations, support networks and capacity.

• Working closely with social work colleagues to escalate questions, concerns or safeguarding issues appropriately.

• Supporting candidates to prepare for training, home visits and assessment stages.

Supporting groups, events and community activity

• Supporting information events, training sessions and candidate-facing events.

• Gathering feedback from candidates to help improve the journey and bringing this insight from candidate conversations into team discussions.

• Helping the team understand what motivates people to become Weekend Foster Carers, what worries them, and what helps them move forward.

• Supporting testing and iteration of new candidate journey approaches.

About Weekenders

Weekenders is Now Foster’s flagship programme. It pairs children and young people in foster care with inspiring adults who can offer guidance, stability and encouragement on a regular basis. It is about showing up, making a difference, and being that person a young person can count on.

The programme is growing quickly. We are scaling Weekenders across London and beyond, testing new ways to support applicants, local authorities and independent social workers, and building the operational foundations needed for long-term growth.

A core part of this growth is making sure that people who are interested in becoming Weekend Foster Carers receive the right balance of warmth, encouragement, information and challenge as they move through the journey. That is where the Journey Guide comes in.

Working Pattern and Location

This role is offered at 4 to 5 days per week, with a salary of £34,000 pro rata.

The role can be based anywhere in England, with occasional travel to our Weekender delivery areas. Our Weekenders team is currently based across London and Manchester, and our wider organisational team is based in Oxford. Most work will be home-based, but there will be some in-person meetings, events, training sessions or bi-monthly co-working days.

The role will involve some work outside standard office hours. This is likely to include:

• Around one weekend day per month, which you would take back as time off during the previous or following week.

• Some evening work, for example around one information event per month.

• Some evening intro chats with prospective foster carers, where this helps people engage with the process.

We work flexibly and will support the successful candidate to manage their time in a sustainable way.

Safeguarding

Now Foster is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This role will involve contact with prospective carers, rather than direct work with children and young people. However, you will need to understand safeguarding, work within Now Foster’s safeguarding processes, and escalate any concerns appropriately.

This role will require an enhanced DBS check.

You’ll take responsibility for a caseload of young people, offering one-to-one support, coaching, and encouragement, while helping them navigate everything from travel costs to balancing other commitments.

As a key advocate, you’ll work closely with employers to champion each young person’s support and learning needs, ensuring they are set up for success in their roles. You’ll also collaborate with partners such as Jobcentre Plus and other stakeholders to create seamless pathways into employment, making sure nothing stands in the way of sustained job outcomes.

You’ll be a guiding light for our delivery partners and service providers, supporting them to deliver high-quality experiences that lead to real jobs for young people. You'll also deliver engaging employability sessions, both directly and by supporting partners and volunteers, using a mix of face-to-face delivery and virtual sessions via MS Teams. When needed, you’ll be out and about, visiting placements or employers to ensure everything runs smoothly and that everything is delivered to the highest standard.

Alongside this, you’ll maintain accurate and detailed records of young people’s progress, employer engagement, and outcomes, ensuring everything aligns with our funding requirements and clearly demonstrates the impact of the programme.

We are excited to be recruiting a part-time Finance Coordinator to support the Finance team to 
fulfil day-to-day objectives and help the wider organisation to deliver its goals. This is a great 
opportunity to join The Brilliant Club Team at a time when we are moving into the delivery of our 
new Backing Brilliance strategy. 
The Finance Coordinator position will report to the Finance Manager. The role will manage a 
varied workload that includes checking and approving expenses, bank reconciliations, purchase 
invoices, maintaining purchase orders, support credit control, managing the Finance inbox and 
phone, responding to staff and supplier queries and supporting the Finance team with the 
departmental targets. The role requires an enthusiastic individual with an eye for detail and good 
interpersonal skills. 
The successful candidate will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with 
colleagues and external stakeholders. To ensure excellent working relationships are maintained, 
they will be effective communicators with staff and external stakeholders. They will continually 
improve in their areas of responsibility, looking at how the Finance department can be more

While this role can be based in our London or Leeds offices, some travel will be required to London

About the role:

Housing can be the thing that helps a young person breathe again — but only when it feels safe, understood and possible to manage. At Camden Young Person’s High Support Accommodation, this role will help turn the practical side of housing into something young people can learn from, build confidence in and use as a stepping stone towards independence.

As Young Person’s Worker — Housing Focus, you’ll support the smooth running of the accommodation while working directly with young people around the housing responsibilities linked to their stay. This will include move-ins, licence agreements, rent and service charge prompts, repairs, voids, occupancy records, building standards and housing-related actions. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager, colleagues, landlords, contractors and internal teams to help keep the service safe, organised and responsive.

This is still a relationship-based role at its heart. You’ll use trauma informed, psychologically informed and strengths-based approaches to help young people understand expectations, build routines, solve problems and prepare for move-on. At Single Homeless Project (SHP), you’ll also be part of a learning culture that values training, development and career growth — with opportunities to build your housing knowledge, deepen your practice and grow your confidence in young people’s services.

About you:

• You understand that housing work is people work — and can help young people build confidence with rent, repairs, licence agreements, routines and shared living expectations.
• You are organised, proactive and good at keeping practical tasks moving, from records and voids to repairs, building checks and follow-up actions.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To gather the views of adoptive families from within the Yorkshire and Humber region on adoption practice and feed them into the Regional Adoption Agencies in the South Yorkshire area and use these to influence the development of services within Adoption UK.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 To develop and implement a procedure which ensures all adoptive families in the region are aware of and have an opportunity to consider and express views on current and future adoption services.

 To obtain opinions, ideas and input from adoptive families using social media, feedback forms, forums, meetings as well as other mediums available.

 To represent Adoptive families on relevant Boards and Groups.

 To provide feedback to stakeholders, including Local Authorities, Voluntary Adoption Agencies and Adoptive families, by attending meetings, forums and events and producing reports.

 To support the facilitation of targeted forum meetings and discussions.

 To produce reports and presentations on adoption practice across the region.

 Support the manager with projects on occasion.

Calibre Audio is a national charity providing accessible audiobooks to people who are unable to read print due to visual impairment, dyslexia, or other conditions. Through a digital-first service and diverse library, the charity enables children and adults to experience the joy and lifelong benefits of reading, while increasingly delivering impact across literacy, education, wellbeing and social inclusion.

Fundraising at Calibre Audio is entering an exciting new phase of development. The charity has recently appointed its first Director of Fundraising & Communications, bringing fundraising, communications and brand together under a newly created leadership role. With a refreshed organisational narrative, ambitious plans for growth and a renewed focus on increasing income and profile, fundraising is becoming an increasingly important driver of Calibre Audio’s future impact.

Trusts and foundations are a key part of this growth strategy. Historically, income has been generated through a combination of loyal funders and a high volume of smaller grants. The organisation is now seeking to build a more strategic trusts programme focused on stronger stewardship, deeper funder relationships, larger grants and long-term partnerships. There is significant untapped potential, including opportunities to re-engage previous funders, develop new relationships and secure support for a range of compelling programmes spanning literacy, education, disability, wellbeing and community impact.

The Senior Trusts Fundraiser will lead this work, partnering closely with the Director to shape and deliver the next phase of trusts fundraising at Calibre Audio. This is a role with genuine scope to influence strategy, develop new opportunities and make a visible contribution to organisational growth. It would suit an ambitious trusts fundraiser who enjoys relationship building as much as writing applications and is motivated by the opportunity to help build something.

As Senior Trusts Fundraiser, you will:

• Develop and implement a strategic trusts and foundations fundraising programme aligned with organisational priorities
• Identify, research and cultivate new funding opportunities, with a focus on larger and multi-year grants
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective trusts and foundations
• Develop compelling, high-quality funding applications, proposals and report
• Secure significant income from a portfolio of trusts and foundations
• Build and strengthen long-term relationships with funders through excellent stewardship and engagement
• Reactivate and develop relationships with previous funders and supporters
• Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to gather impact data and develop compelling cases for support
