The Diocese of Rochester is committed to equipping its churches and leaders for growth and transformation. As part of this, we are seeking a Missional Development Parishes (MDP) Project Manager to join our Programme Team based at the Diocesan Office in Rochester.

The MDP Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of 15 strategically funded parish projects supported by the National Church. Working with the Head of Programmes, Diocesan colleagues, and parish representatives, the Project Manager will oversee planning, budgeting, governance, and reporting processes across the MDP project. This role will be vital in supporting parish leaders and PCCs to lead and deliver their local MDP initiatives effectively.

The successful applicant will be an experienced and highly organised project manager, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You’ll need to demonstrate the ability to manage risk, track project outcomes, and support change across a variety of contexts. A background in monitoring and evaluation is important, and a desire to serve the mission of the Church will be key to thriving in this role. Experience of working with Church of England structures is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

· Build strong working relationships with the 15 MDPs, acting as a governance and communications link with the Diocesan MDP Project Board

· Oversee and report on progress, risks, outcomes, and finances across all MDP projects

· Track progress against milestones and budgets, escalating risks and managing changes as needed

· Support the sharing of learning and success stories in collaboration with the Communications Officer and Mission and Ministry Development team

· Manage the MDP budget, including drawing down and allocating funds and reporting to stakeholders

· Act as secretary to the MDP Project Board and report to senior diocesan bodies including the Bishops Leadership Team and Diocesan Synod

Merton Winter Night Shelter provides a much-needed emergency shelter for the homeless during the coldest winter months. We are seeking a part time Project Assistant to work with the Project Coordinator, who leads the project on a permanent basis. Min 6hrs over 3 evenings per week and occasional management meetings outside of the shelter. This would be initially shadowing the Project Coordinator at the different shelter venues and then independently and unsupervised attending venues supporting venue convenors and their volunteers. The hours will include weekends and bank holidays.

Purpose of Job:

· Supporting the Project Coordinator in managing and coordinating the Night Shelter to ensure that all venues give a consistent service to all homeless persons accepted into the shelter, i.e., its guests.

· Standing in for the Project Coordinator in supporting shelter convenors and their volunteers on two evenings per week after initial induction.

· Assisting the Project Coordinator in providing advice and support to help each guest work through the challenges they are facing, recognising that homelessness is often a result of complex and multiple problems.

Responsibilities:

In close consultation with the Project Coordinator to:

· Liaise with the Host Venue Co-ordinators to ensure timely communication and information, particularly in maintaining the Shelter Log Book, to enable the smooth running of the shelter.

· Support guests who are using services for welfare, legal, debt, housing and other specialist issues, where necessary.

· Engage with vulnerable people in a sensitive, empathetic and professional manner.

· To assist in maintaining detailed case records ensuring all sensitive data is adequately protected and handled.

Key Responsibilities

The legal team work on solving the major environmental problems of our time and building the movement for positive change. We need a capable and committed person to join our team and help us do this. 

Job purpose:

Working closely with our lawyers you will have a hands-on role in supporting Friends of the Earth’s campaigns. You will join meetings, conduct research, help to prepare legal documents, participate in our campaigning in action, and get to know what makes a campaigning environmental NGO tick. 

Possessing a degree in Law or equivalent qualification (i.e. law conversion course or joint law degree) with a 2:1 grade or above, you will have good knowledge of public, assimilated EU law, human rights, environmental and/or planning law and will have experience of undertaking detailed legal research and analysis.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain entry-level legal experience and skills in a campaigning context.

We are looking to recruit an exceptional CRM administrator to maintain and manage our Donorfy CRM, ensuring it works seamlessly to protect our strong supporter relationships with the Centre. This is a new and exciting role sitting centrally in our HR and Operations team and you will have a flair for data analysis, an aptitude for accurate reporting and thrive in maintaining system efficiency and data integrity. The role will be pivotal in supporting our friendly fundraising team in the effective use of Donorfy. 

The Centre has to raise circa £2.5m every year to support our work with young people, children and families facing homelessness.  Our CRM and its effective use is critical to building our knowledge and insight to grow this income.  It’s a critical role that will have real impact.

Bringing your hands-on CRM experience and strong communications skills, you will have a curious mindset, proactively seeking to continually improve yourself and the role, championing a culture of data excellence, as well as taking ownership and accountability of your workload.

A deep understanding of cybersecurity, GDPR, data governance, and risk management is essential, as is a forward-thinking approach to emerging technologies, including AI and automation.
