The Older People's Clinical Fellow (Occupational Therapist) will be part of the Centre of Clinical Expertise and a member of the Cancer and Other Long Term Conditions Core Strategic group. The role will bring insight, expertise and the opportunity to collaborate to seek solutions, best practice and innovation. As part of this work there will be opportunity to deliver learning and development, conference presentations and media and communications activities such as academic publications, newsletters and web content development.

This role will be both beneficial to Macmillan in helping to improve the lives of people living with cancer, as well as provide the successful candidate with a potentially career changing opportunity.

The fellow will work across the organisation and form influential external relationships to support Macmillan to work with Health Care Systems across the UK to improve MDT ways of working.

Mind in Enfield and Barnet provides much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems.

The Advocacy, Advice and Information department works to empower people and communities, and challenge stigma and disadvantage caused by Mental Health problems. They champion individual's voices, uphold their rights, and promote personal autonomy through the provision of high-quality information, advice, and advocacy support.

The Forensic Advocate will provide professional advocacy to all eligible patients. The role will ensure that patients voices are heard and respected, rights upheld, and facilitate positive engagement with ward staff, professionals involved in their care, treatment planning processes, and relevant meetings. This may be facilitated through attendance at patient's forums, ward meetings, working with patients on a one-to-one basis providing information, representation and support to develop self-advocacy skills; and developing new forums and forms of support.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver High-Quality Patient Advocacy: Provide professional, inclusive advocacy to inpatients and community-based clients, ensuring their rights are upheld and concerns are addressed through direct support, representation at clinical meetings, and regular engagement.
• Maintain Casework and Service Standards: Manage an active caseload, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping, compliance with legal frameworks (e.g. Mental Health Act), and adherence to organisational standards and procedures.
• Develop Collaborative Partnerships and Outreach: Build effective relationships with ward staff, carers, peer advocates, and external agencies, coordinate monthly outreach clinics, and contribute to forums and community meetings to promote service integration.
• Support Training, Development, and Service Improvement: Co-develop training for peer advocates, staff, and carers, promote self-advocacy, participate in service development, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.

The successful candidate will have some experience of working in a Forensic Advocacy role, as well as working in an Inpatient setting, and in an Advocacy role. You will have good knowledge of Mental Health Act 2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other relevant legislation.

We are currently recruiting a team of two Peer Support Workers to provide recovery-focused, peer support to older adults living in North Lincolnshire. You must have lived experience of mental health-related challenges and understand the difficulties clients face and be able to work respectfully with empathy and sensitivity. As a Digital Media and Communications Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how their story is told to the public, policymakers, corporate partners and third-sector organisations.  You’ll lead the development of a digital media and communications strategy, strengthen brand identity, and build a narrative that centres lived experience, research, and impact.

This role is pivotal to the organisation’s next chapter of influence, as it pushes health inequality further up the national agenda.

We are the Wandsworth representative of the national City of Sanctuary (CoS) charity. This project will support the committee and expand our activities in the voluntary and community sector and elsewhere to build commitment to Sanctuaries in the Borough. Wandsworth has a small but active network supporting refugees. The existing sanctuaries include a theatre, cafe and shop. Our Wandsworth libraries are en route to become sanctuaries and there is active interest from schools and faith groups. The contract is initially for 62 days over one year. Background to the project

The Project is supported by Wandsworth Council as a Borough of Sanctuary and by Lewisham Refugee and Migrant Network (LRMN). Note that for the year 2025 Wandsworth is the London Borough of Culture.

Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees is a charity and operates primarily on a voluntary basis. We aim to make Wandsworth a welcoming place for those seeking sanctuary to feel safe, supported and part of our community.  WWR is part of the City of Sanctuary movement and is the accredited organization in Wandsworth. We work with voluntary and community sector (VCS) and other organisations to encourage and support those wishing to reach out to refugees. We liaise with those interested in finding out more, offering general support, offering general support, or seeking to become accredited with City of Sanctuary. 

Objectives of the project
The project will support the WWR committee activities and objectives. It will expand WWR reach and contacts in the VCS and other appropriate places and organisations. It will raise the profile of the sanctuary movement and encourage active participation by various organisations to create welcoming communities for people seeking sanctuary. Participation can range from an interest and small steps through to becoming accredited with City of Sanctuary.

Wandsworth and Sanctuaries
Sanctuaries include community groups, private organizations, public sector services, and individuals, united in their commitment to supporting those fleeing violence and persecution. Wandsworth is a Borough of Sanctuary, and the accredited organisations at present include a theatre, café and shop. Wandsworth libraries and some faith groups and schools are in the process of applying to become accredited. There is interest from other theatres, shops, sporting facilities and many others. 

Role of the Community Engagement Officer

• Assist the committee to increase its outreach and communication with interested organisations across the Borough

• Join monthly committee meeting to report and plan

• Meet and liaise with the key refugee support organisations in Wandsworth and a small number in other London boroughs 

• Organise an on-line Meet-Up for sharing and support ‘clinics’ (every 4-6 weeks); develop a launch for this event

• Liaise with the committee Events Group fundraising and events activities 

• Liaise with and include lived experience into outreach and activities (WWR has a small advisory group

• Liaise with committee members represented on the Council’s ‘Migration Forum’ 

• Liaise with the organisations accredited with CoS in Wandsworth: CoS asks accredited organisations share activities and learning

• Assist in planning and implementing activities during Refugee Week (June)

• Participate in the annual City of Sanctuary Annual Conference 

• Assist organisation of Annual General Meeting (in 2026 date to be decided)

WWR is applying for additional funds and if successful will increase the contracted time of the CEO and allow more time for this role and to widen the brief.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Project Co-ordinator to join the Practice and Development team at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

You will be working with us to provide project management support to a range of priority projects across the Practice and Development directorate and support project teams using project management methodologies and structures including reporting of the risk register for the projects, working with the project managers and sponsors to mitigate any identified risks/issues. As part of the team, you will play an active role in supporting and progressing a range of projects which will enable members to develop and innovate within practice.

The role requires engagement with a wide range of stakeholders including CSP members, other Allied Health Professional colleagues, educators and key health decision makers. You will be comfortable delivering member facing services, communicating key messages, promoting resources and activities developed by the team, as well as contributing to the planning and development of priority areas.

The role requires someone who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues across the CSP but is also able to take ownership of designated areas of responsibilities to support established programmes of work. Furthermore, it also requires the ability to demonstrate leadership behaviours in one’s own role and to manage upwards where appropriate.

To succeed in the role, you will need excellent organisational, information management and technology skills to deliver and develop projects and resources, as well as excellent skills in capturing, synthesising and analysing data. You will also need strong communication and organisational skills to manage a varied workload working to defined deadlines.

Role Purpose

The Role will be responsible for the entry and review of financial transactions from various sources including purchase invoices, payment cards and bank transactions. 

The organisation has grown from managing 8 entities three years ago to 22 at present. We have 41 accounts across 5 different banking institutions (in both USD and GBP) and multiple credit/debit cards. You will need to be adaptable with an open mindset and able to work with uncertainty and change.

We have recently implemented new accounting software (Iplicit) to better manage the multiple entities in our portfolio.  This role will act as a key part of the finance function now the new system is live.

Responsibilities

Initial Duties: 

• Processing urgent same day rent payments 

• Processing of purchase ledger transactions (including VAT entries) for 22 legal entities, in multi-currency, ensuring accurate re-allocation to other entities where appropriate

• Preparation of supplier payment runs for approval

• Completing bank statement imports and reconciliations

• Responding to internal and external queries regarding purchase transactions and payments 

• Other administration & support as required by our Central team (including People, Digital, Business Development & Impact) 

• Review and processing of employee expense transactions 

• Creating regular Inter-company recharge invoices for batches of transactions

Skills & Experience

Essential Skills & Experience 

• Practical experience in a similar role processing a range of financial entries 

• AAT Level 3 Certificate in Accounting or similar

• An understanding of the fundamentals of VAT

• Attention to detail and with ability to question existing processes

• Confident and financially literate, with clear communication and good organisation skills
