We need an events manager who is adept at managing projects and events, working with our fundraisers and encouraging our supporters to get involved in our events such as our annual trek, the prestigious Care Sector Ball, and all the other events we’re involved in. The right person will have the confidence and persistence it takes to persuade, cajole, prod and encourage fundraisers to do as much as they can to raise funds for us. You need to be proficient at managing the admin that goes with events, including using fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse to engage with fundraisers and provide regular reports on the income raised. We will also need you to organize hotel, travel, conference arrangements for the team.
You must be based in England, to help us keep travel costs down as much as possible. The role is home based, with travel to fundraising events, conferences and network meetings, and with travel every 10 weeks or so to central London for team meetings.
You must be a determined self-reliant professional though also a team player, to effectively coordinate and execute events and other activities, and be passionate about events management and fundraising to enable us to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
Skills & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you must have:
- Experience in event management, preferably in the charity sector, and be able to demonstrate a strong track record in fundraising and achieving financial targets.
- Creativity and confidence with a strong sense of determination willing to persevere to engage and encourage potential fundraisers.

This role will help drive forward the delivery of the Trussell Trust’s policy research strategy, developing and contributing to critical pieces of research that help progress our vision of ending the need for food banks.
The Senior Policy Researcher will be responsible for developing and delivering insightful and timely qualitative, quantitative and participatory policy research. As well as producing and scrutinising high-quality mixed-methods research, they will work closely with colleagues to ensure that this is accessible for a range of audiences in order that it can best meet the organisation’s policy influencing goals.
Role responsibilities

Coordinate, design, and deliver research projects and ad hoc analysis on policy areas which contribute to our strategic goal of ending the need for food banks, including (but not limited to) Universal Credit, disability benefits, mental health, in-work poverty and debt

Manage commissioned research projects, including codesigning data collection tools, monitoring budgets, quality assurance and strong project management

Embed equality, diversity and inclusion principles in internal and commissioned research project design, prioritising participatory methods that support the voice of lived experience

Advise and support Policy Research Officers and Network Policy & Research Officers in supporting the food bank network to understand and use our research, but also to deliver their own, where appropriate

Help internal and external stakeholders make best use of the Trussell Trust’s data and policy research, including quality assurance of outputs, and compelling written and oral communication of our research findings

This is an exciting opportunity to help Horsham Matters realise our aim to provide practical support as well as complimentary holistic services to the most vulnerable across the District of Horsham. Our aim is to offer assistance at the earliest opportunity, addressing the root causes of poverty with a vision to end the need for foodbanks.
In order to realise this ambition, we need to establish a new programme of fundraising growth, that can increase our annual turnover from £650k to £1m.
Through this role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with corporate partners and large scale, multi-year grant giving Trusts and Foundations. You’ll grow our portfolio of flagship fundraising events, and you’ll lead the fundraising team, inspiring income growth across donor stewardship, community fundraising, individual giving and our wider relationships with grant giving Trusts and Foundations.
You'll be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships.
Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships and growing income with corporate partners and large scale Trusts and Foundations to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.
Key Responsibilities
· Through excellent, comprehensive, and considered research, you’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential large scale, multi-year Trusts and Foundations funders for Horsham Matters. Working with colleagues, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding bids that can successfully engage and grow these new Trusts and Foundations funders.
· You’ll proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors. You’ll develop funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage corporate partners and align with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.
· You’ll lead and grow our portfolio of flagship fundraising events, helping us engage a variety of prospective and existing donors.
· You’ll lead the fundraising team and line manage the two team members (our Trusts & Foundations Officer and our Community Fundraising Assistant). Working with the fundraising team to set fundraising priorities and to ensure that we maximise our opportunities for donor stewardship, relationship management and income growth across community fundraising, individual giving, and wider trusts fundraising.
· You’ll develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio establishing a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income. Skills

We are looking for a Devon Fundraising Manager to build relationships with key community groups, running third-party events and corporates for a small social welfare charity.
This is home based role with travel across the Devon region, you will need a car.

The Network Lead plays a central role in helping us achieve our vision to end the need for food banks in the UK. This is a varied, proactive and fast-paced role that involves representing the Trussell Trust on policy and public affairs and key stakeholder relationships in South West, the leadership of a dynamic team of area managers that supports the network of food banks in the South West to deliver emergency food, and the coordination of projects and partnerships to support the food banks in our network to reduce the need for their services locally.
