The Hill End Charitable Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to be our new project coordinator – working with our Centre Director on a wide variety of tasks to create and deliver the projects we need to transform our site and buildings.
The Hill End Outdoor Education Centre has been providing unique outdoor learning experiences to children and adults since the 1920s. Our mission is to provide exciting and meaningful day and residential learning experiences that inspire children, and every visitor, to enjoy and value nature and the outdoors. Managed for decades by local authorities, Hill End is now an independent charitable trust seeking to create a more sustainable future.
The Role
We are seeking a Project Coordinator on a part-time basis to help us create and deliver our vision to develop our site and buildings for the future. This includes modernising our existing facilities, improving access and becoming more environmentally sustainable.
These are ambitious plans and we are not expecting to achieve everything at once. We are looking to create a series of distinct, prioritised projects so we can move forward and need more people capacity in our small team to do so.
The Project Coordinator is a new role, and will undertake the essential administrative, communication, planning and reporting needed to help make our plans a reality. In the first instance, this will be to assist with key building renovations and improvements such as creation of disabled facilities.
The Project Coordinator will not necessarily have formal project management experience, but must be able to pull together a wide-ranging set of requirements, create and improve processes and practices that will allow us to better manage our site development in future.
This role might suit someone wishing to work either three full days or part of each working day. We are happy to discuss flexible working hours.
Principal Duties
These will include:
Gathering and analysing management data
- Using customer bookings and finance systems to extract key information.
- Defining and reporting on key metrics to evaluate the progress and success of projects.
- Collating and using data as required to help with other key strategic tasks such as cost-benefit analysis and business cases.
- Providing data as required to support business planning, funding bids, marketing and communication.
Project communication
- Identifying and engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders, such as partners, customers, contractors, consultants and planners.
- Putting in place systems for better project communication, internally and externally.
- Assisting with scheduling of tasks and meetings.
- Reporting as necessary to the Centre Director and Trustees.
Project coordination
- Helping to define project aims, needs and budgets in line with our strategic priorities.
- Obtaining quotations, costings and development options for Hill End to review and approve.
- Assisting with legal and contractual considerations.
- Putting in place new and robust systems to record project progress and next steps.
- Defining and improving existing management systems.
- Helping to create a new project management model for future development.
Knowledge, experience, skills and personal attributes required
The Centre has a small, dedicated staff who are all committed to the aims of the charity. The successful applicant will share the values and enthusiasm of the team. The successful applicant must have:

It would be an advantage to an applicant to have:
· A good overall standard of education.

· Previous experience with the construction industry or planning.
· Enthusiasm for education and outdoor learning.

About the role
Our Workplace Wellbeing Team has grown considerably in the past few years, and we take pride in delivering great training and raising awareness about mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. This role will play an important part in supporting that growth by maintaining and building on existing customer relationships and forming new ones, and working towards targets to generate an income for our services. As a Customer Experience and Sales Coordinator (Training), you would be key to the smooth running of our training team, ensuring customer needs are more than met. You’ll be well organised and able to prioritise tasks to ensure your training customers get a great training experience. A natural problem solver and good communicator, you’ll be in regular contact with customers, trainers, finance and the wider Solent Mind team. This role will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. Line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.
Since 2016, through collaborating extensively with over 250 local volunteers, who take a central leadership role in the development of the network, we have supported 50 communities in creating and running community-led and owned education spaces named ‘Spots’, with a strategy to support them in moving towards our ‘Dream Spot Model’. Together, we are developing a model for a community-led education space with accompanying network engagement that could have relevance in settings across the world.

About this role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. The post holder will be creative, passionate and self-motivated, with strong marketing and communications skills, able to design and implement strategic fundraising approaches.
In this role, you will take on responsibility for identifying, creating and delivering impactful fundraising strategies that enable us to generate further relationships and income in support of our programmes.
You will oversee the development of our individual giving and monthly giving strategies and further develop relationships with schools, corporate organisations and NGOs, with a focus on resource acquisition (e.g. books, electronic devices) alongside fundraising. You will also play a supportive role in events and campaigns, and work closely with our Head of Communications to ensure our marketing and communications strategy is integrated with our fundraising aims. Currently, we already have a trusts and foundations manager, but would welcome applicants with experience of trust fundraising.

We have a permanent opportunity for a conveyancing legal professional to join a Law School on a permanent basis, for 2-3 days a week (across Mon - Thurs). This role is fully remote as learners are online, but there would be a requirement to attend in-person meetings in Bedford, up to 6 times per year.
Key duties:
- Manage caseload of learners: onboard, assess skills, and create development plans.
- Deliver group and 1:1 teaching sessions at all levels in designated areas of specialism via webinar, checking and supporting learning and the practical application of skills
- Assessing learners' formative work according to mark schemes, providing detailed feedback on all areas of strength and identifying areas for development
- Supporting learners by conference call, email or online forum
- Ensure learner safety and well-being, report any concerns.
- Monitor learner engagement and progress, raise concerns as needed.
