We are seeking a highly experienced Trusts and Foundations fundraising consultant to spearhead the Trusts programme at Dreams Come True. As an excellent communicator, influencer, and relationship builder, you will have a proven track record of successful fundraising in this area: ideally securing between 6 and 7-figure gifts.
The successful individual must clearly understand what is meant by a strong brand / charity proposition and have clear evidence of creating and delivering compelling cases for support, with strong examples of this resulting in successful grants to the value of £50-£100k.
Building upon the current small programme, you will lead on initiating conversations with new funders; quickly building rapport and submitting compelling funding proposals and writing timely reports as necessary. - Prepare and administer correspondence and relevant paperwork and ensure maintenance for full and accurate database (D365/First Class) records, analysing financial and non-financial data to monitor and improve engagement and customer service performance.
- Proactively keep abreast of competitor activities, new initiatives and sector trends.
- Effectively plan and execute legacy events around the country, with the aim of motivating supporters to consider leaving a gift in their Will.

What you'll be doing -
You'll be a key part of the Statutory and Lottery Partnerships team who have a diverse portfolio of funders and an annual target of £5 million. Trusts & Foundations is our largest income stream and we are looking to increase capacity in the team during a growth period for the charity.You will support our experienced Trusts & Foundations team to help meet, and exceed, our income targets and to provide fantastic support to our donors.You will also have the opportunity to spend half a day a week in our Salisbury garden assisting the Head Gardener and spending time with beneficiaries.
Main duties:
- Identify and research grant giving trusts and foundations to whom Horatio’s Garden is eligible to submit applications for funding.
- Proactively approach relevant trusts and foundations, where possible, to discuss potential applications before submission.
- Prepare and submit high quality applications for funding for a range of Horatio’s Garden projects.
- Prepare and submit high quality, timely progress reports to grant givers, contributing to longer term relationship development with funders.
- Maintain the Trusts and Foundations pipeline to maximise supporter retention and income generation.
- Identify and deliver opportunities to engage grant givers with Horatio’s Garden, through events and garden tours, to increase supporter engagement.

Experience

This role is part of the team that supports Age UK and its network of local and national partners to provide consistent, high-quality services to the public. The team is responsible for ensuring that training and guidance is available on how to run high quality services and supports individual network members with quality challenges and non-compliance.
The provision of Information and Advice (I&A) and our quality standards for these services, are a key element of this role. The successful post holder will have demonstrable experience of managing or supervising an I&A service and ideally, a broader understanding or experience of quality assurance and delivering services to older people.
This is a part-time, home-based opportunity, working 21 hours per week. Salary advertised is FTE. (Actual salary range for 21 hours per week - Actual £20,406 - £22,554)

Must haves:

This role is the first point of contact for journalists getting in touch with the Trussell Trust. The role is accountable for handling media enquiries; checking and responding to the press inbox; media monitoring and securing press coverage. The Press Officer will assist with media work through print, online and broadcast news to help build understanding, awareness and consideration of the organisation’s mission and goal. The Press Officer will support and advise colleagues, food banks in the network and external stakeholders to ensure they receive media coverage of strategically important projects.
Role responsibilities
· Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with the Trussell Trust’s key messages and priorities.
· Build relationships across the organisation, within the food bank network, with external stakeholders such as corporate partners, and with journalists to assist with securing coverage across national, regional and local media to reach new audiences and build cause awareness
· Horizon scan for media opportunities and develop innovative integrated communication plans, overseeing advice, statements, timelines, and key messaging to engage specific audience segments.

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating FearFree’ Volunteers, including supervision and coaching of volunteers.
Volunteers are essential to FearFree services both support service roles and non-support service roles such as admin and fundraising. Volunteers will be within the following roles:
· Helpline Support: Responsible for logging referrals and triaging cases, ensuring initial safety advice is given and the service user is directed to the most appropriate service, as well as responding to professional enquiries.
· Facilitating and Co-facilitating Group Work Programmes: This will include facilitating peer support groups and being second facilitator for group work programmes providing support to victims/survivors of domestic abuse, those who have experienced sexual violence and group programmes for perpetrator groups supporting those who wish to change their behaviour.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks
Recruitment and training of volunteers

Harris Hill is looking for an interim Fundraising Assistant to support a national charity for 2 to 3 months on remote of hybrid basis, starting May 2024.
