Who are we looking for? 

We are seeking a proactive, dynamic IT professional to support in the development and maintenance of our information and digital systems. Excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem solving are essential. The ideal candidate will be confident to act as a first point of contact for IT support, maintain our digital systems including CRM, and be able to work both independently and as part of a small team. 

Main Role & Responsibilities 

The post holder will support the Information Systems Manager to ensure the IT systems/platforms are developed and are fit for purpose for the technical requirements. This role will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of Ygam Connect (Sharepoint intranet), including migrating files and business processes, liasing with the external developer and working with Connect Champions across Ygam. 

This role is based in the UK on a remote homeworking contract or based in our London office. If the role is based in the London office, you will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week with the option to work remotely for the remaining 3 days.

The Head of Scotland and Northern Ireland is responsible for leading our vision to end the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Scotland currently leads the way in having a rights-based, progressive agenda to ending the need for food banks, but there is much to do to ensure political intentions become a reality. This role directs Trussell Trust’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland and Northern Ireland, leads our Scotland and Northern Ireland department as they support our network of food banks and works strategically with key partners to tackle the underlying reasons why people need to come to food banks.

Role responsibilities 

• Lead the delivery of the Trussell Trust strategy for ending the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland, working to embed the Changing Communities, Changing Minds and Changing Policy programmes across the network, including through providing strategic support for the effective delivery of the Pathfinder, FI and organising programmes in Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

• Work with key partners to direct Trussell Trust’s policy and public affairs and work with the Scottish government and local authorities across Scotland. 

• Facilitate the sharing of learning from Scotland to help shape our long-term policy and public affairs work in Northern Ireland. 

• Lead the Scotland and Northern Ireland department to ensure the safe and effective operations of the food bank network. 

• Work with our Head of Strategic Church Engagement to deliver a church engagement strategy that will mobilise the church in Scotland and Northern Ireland to work to end the need for food banks.

Summary of duties: 

Our Communications and Engagement Officer will lead on the work of our new Community Hub project and promote all the great things that CfD does e.g. the events and activities as part of our Deaf People Together project.  The post holder will be based at The Vassall Centre, Gill Avenue, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 2QQ. 

This is an exciting opportunity to help CfD improve our communications, and to support the Deaf Community and hard of hearing people throughout Bristol with managing and sharing their information.  You will work with Deaf and hard of hearing people by providing the training, tools, and resources to enable them to create their own information materials that can be shared with the community. 

You will be responsible for developing and uploading website content, creating marketing material, use of social media and other communications platforms to help deliver the aims of our Community Hub project and to increase our community engagement and profile.  You will also lead on commissioning a redesign of our website. 

You will also have a role in supporting our Community Development Officer to arrange and publicise events. 

You will use your time in this way: 

• Half of your time on the Community Hub Project; 

• About a day a week supporting our Community Development Officer; 

• The rest of your time on promoting other projects and developing the CfD website.

The main responsibilities are to: 

Community Hub 

1. Provide training for and support deaf volunteers to improve CfD’s capacity to produce and share relevant community information from across Bristol. You will organise workshops for deaf people to develop their skills in video and media technology to produce accessible content. 

1. Develop a virtual information hub, where information on CfD events and other activities in Bristol will be fully accessible to all deaf people, using CfD’s website, social media, apps, and newsletters. 

1. Support deaf people with producing their own newsletters using BSL and subtitles. Our aim is to have a regular newsletter that is produced and managed by deaf people. 

1. Develop a CfD “newsround” – a regular video round-up of events, news, and information of interest to deaf people. 

1. Work with 4 Community Hubs in Bristol to increase their accessibility for and engagement with deaf people in their neighbourhoods, and to increase their understanding of how to include deaf people in activities. This work will include collaborating to deliver deaf-focused events. 

Communications 

1. Support other projects at CfD with information dissemination, and media and communications, such as creating posters, video production, posting on social media, and basic updates on our website.

1. Improve the quality and reach of information that CfD sends out e.g. using other social media platforms. 

1. Support the CFD Community Development Officer by arranging and promoting events. 

1. Ensure compliance across all media with CfD’s brand guidelines. 

1. Lead on reviewing the CfD website and commissioning a new design. 

1. Coordinate any media enquiries. 

1. Collect data to analyse and evaluate the impact of the role. 

General 

1. Attend conferences, training, and other staff development opportunities.  

1. Develop an agreed personal training plan and carry this out using internal and external training as required.

The successful candidate will have had at least two years in a relevant communications role.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in communicating with Deaf British Sign Language (BSL) users and hard of hearing people. This may be direct communication or through a BSL interpreter or speech-to-text operator.

• Ability to create high-quality communications material and to engage with a variety of audiences. 

• Experience of social media management and familiarity with evolving and new digital media platforms.

• Ability to produce video material, including filming and editing and adding including subtitles.

About the Role:

Victim Support (VS) is the leading independent charity in England and Wales for people who have been affected by crime and traumatic incidents. Understanding the experience and needs of victims and witnesses of crime is central to the charities' aims and vision.

As a Research & Lived Experience Officer you will have the opportunity to capture the voice of victims and promote evidence based recommendations to improve the experience of victims in the criminal justice system. You will be a part of a small but enthusiastic research team, while also having the opportunity to lead your own project.

You will have the opportunity to recruit participants and manage a Lived Experience Engagement Forum, and to regularly engage, build and maintain close relationships with the forum's participants. You will also need to conduct workshops/focus groups to collect feedback and insights from the participants on various products and procedures, and produce summaries of this feedback.

To be successful in the role you will need to have proven experience in recruiting vulnerable people to take part in research activities and conducting workshops or focus groups and interviews. Experience in writing and analysing surveys is an advantage. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently, as well as experience of working in partnership with various stakeholders. Having knowledge of victims of crime is desirable, but not essential.

We’re a small charity that brings communities together to create cleaner, connected and safer urban and rural neighbourhoods by tackling the litter problems where they live. Litter-picking brings people closer together, enables neighbours to meet one another other and helps create a greater sense of pride and community in local areas.

Historically, we have delivered litter-picking focussed community engagement projects in London and Birmingham. Our current focus is developing partnerships with community organisations across England to expand our reach and increase impact.

Main duties of the role 

• To provide a pro-active, high-quality administration and support service to the Operational Team, Chief Executive and the Corporate Partnerships team. 

Operational Team: Deals with logistics, processes and day to day functions of our work on the ground with community partners and volunteers.

ShelterBox is searching for an experienced supply chain professional to join our agile and ambitious International Programmes Department to work on our programmes which cover East and Southern Africa, Asia and MENA, West and Central Africa, and Emergencies.

This is a dynamic and impactful role. The Supply Chain Specialist will oversee the delivery of humanitarian shelter aid through importation, local/regional procurement and CVA. A strong knowledge of international logistics and Supplier Relationship Management is essential. Prior experience of establishing emergency supply chains for humanitarian projects is highly desirable. 

The Supply Chain Specialist will be involved in a variety of tasks and projects right across the supply chain from international and local scoping, tactical planning and strategic inventory management to negotiation, procurement and preparedness.

The Supply Chain Specialist is an enthusiastic team member and a creative problem-solver with a keen eye for detail. They see opportunities in challenges, have outstanding interpersonal skills and will always work within the charity’s aims, objectives and values and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.

• Deploy to areas affected by disaster in a supply chain capacity to set up and oversee the timely delivery of aid items and assistance
• On a roster, provide an out-of-hours first point of contact for deployed teams and emergencies
• Establish, develop and lead on good supply chain relationships with freight forwarders, stock suppliers, other humanitarian actors, relevant government departments and logistics coordination mechanisms at both global and field levels
• Plan and deliver procurement and inventory audits as required 
• Be involved with programme preparedness in a supply chain capacity
• Work with the International Programmes department to set up partnerships with other organisations
• Support ShelterBox to stay aware of trends, innovations, and best practice in global supply within the disaster relief sector; participate in logistics networks e.g., Global Logistics Cluster
• Contribute to driving forward changes to meet our sustainable supply chain targets e.g., significant reduction in carbon emissions
• Support with supply chain risk management
• Give regular briefings internally, and occasionally externally
• Promote and apply supply chain best practice within International Programmes
• Support with developing and delivering logistics training internally and externally
• Support departmental and organisational working groups and projects when required
• Support the Philippines country office with supply chain planning and implementation
• Maintain excellent information management of logistics systems including updating records to ensure accurate record keeping and accountability of aid assets
• Promote and demonstrate humanitarian principles in all activities
• Ensure adherence to ShelterBox procedures and policies including those relating to safeguarding, safety and security

Ideally you will have experience in a fundraising role, with experience recruiting new supporters, cultivating relationships and delivering excellent stewardship to lock-in long-term and sustainable support.

Working across our flagship events and third-party event series, including the Great Weston Ride, and our Christmas programme of events, you'll be highly involved in the event planning, stewardship our supporters and on-the-day event logistics.

About the role

You will work closely with our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and senior management team to ensure good outcomes for our service users during an ambitious expansion programme.

As an experienced and compassionate Resettlement Manager, you will lead our team of Homeless Project Workers and spearhead the transformation of care for service users in our properties. You will bring a strategic and innovative approach to addressing homelessness, with a focus on empowering individuals to achieve long-term stability.

Main responsibilities will include:

Administration

• Be responsible for securing contracts by confirming booking information and working with the Head of Budgets, Contracts & Policy to ensure freelance trainer contracts and Service Agreements are in place

• Oversee the general administration of all APD functions including responding to customer queries and feedback

•  Process course bookings made via Thinkific and other platforms, ensuring all requirements are noted and passed on appropriately

• Ensure effective contribution of accurate and timely data required by Artswork and its funders / stakeholders

Finance

• Be responsible for APD budgets including raising sales invoices, reconciling payments and managing deferred income

• Follow anti-money laundering procedures to ensure APD sales are compliant with legislation

• Ensure all finance and operations processes and procedures are rigorously implemented in collaboration with the Finance & Operations team

• Produce budget forecasts for APD and provide monthly updates on current financial position to the Deputy CEO and Head of Budgets, Contracts & Policy

• Chase debtors and regularly report any overdue payments to the Finance team

Strategy

• Contribute to the APD growth strategy through ideas and practical solutions

• Work with the APD team and Deputy CEO in the development of new programmes, routes to market and audience development

Communications

• Help to maintain strong communication channels with all partner organisations and customers

• Provide administrative support in developing regional networks, contacts and partners

• Assist with the engagement of employers and partners for projects and programmes

Administration and Legal Compliance

• Maintain positive professional relationships with our participants, partners and stakeholders •
